[BL]The Matchmaker Guide Doesn't Want Love
Chapter 100: Ch 100: Tired Excitement
It felt unfair. The fact that they lacked the evidence needed to catch the teacher even after what they did made Noah feel bad.
"Hey, can’t we just use your artifact to show everyone what happened? The teachers won’t be able to get away that way-"
"I am afraid that the justice department of this country does not take my artifact as solid proof. According to them, things like the artifact recordings can be tampered with easily."
That was true. Noah had read this country’s laws, so he already knew that this was the case.
Sigh
"Ethan, what do you want to do? You are the victim here, so you should have a say in this. Do you want to press charges against our teachers?"
Noah finally addressed the one person who was the most affected by what happened, and Ethan looked shaken.
"First, I don’t even know what you all are talking about. My memories were tampered with? When? I did not even know about any of this. And second, I feel too tired to do anything. I don’t think I want to continue..."
Ethan pointed out as he closed his eyes and placed a hand over his face to try and fall asleep again. His body was protesting, and every time he tried to recall what happened, his head hurt.
All of his senses were telling Ethan not to try and recall what happened, which made him flinch and curse.
"Fuck! It really hurts. Those teachers must have done a number on me to ensure I don’t recall what happened and don’t sue them. Not that I can do that without evidence either."
Well, it seemed like evidence was the main cause of their problem this time, and Noah felt like he needed to get it.
Otherwise, he felt guilty toward Ethan...
"Let’s worry about our teachers later. Since they pulled this stunt, I am sure they will stay quiet for the time being. We should use this time to focus on finding ways to protect ourselves in the future and finding evidence."
Daniel pointed out, and Noah forcefully calmed himself down.
Finding evidence of what happened was the most important thing right now.
’I wonder if Bluey will help us out in this regard. But I don’t want to get him in trouble...so maybe I should not ask...’
Noah felt conflicted about this issue, and it distracted him. Luckily, no one asked him what he was distracted by, and Noah went back to his room...or rather, got dragged to Alan’s room for the remainder of the night.
Noah was pulled down between Alan and Daniel once more, but tonight they did not try anything.
Rather, both Daniel and Alan seemed to be having troubled sleep, and Noah was not even able to fall asleep.
In the end, no one got proper rest that night, but they were also awkward enough to the point where Noah chose not to wake anyone else up.
...
"Students, did you have a good sleep? Well, I have more good news for you all. We will be hosting our annual festival next week, so it’s time to start preparing."
Another important event was about to happen, but Noah did not feel excited.

The system’s voice was grating, and Noah wished he could squeeze the evidence out of the teachers. The worry about this had made him unable to sleep.
But he was not the only one who was sleep-deprived.
Alan and Daniel tried to mask their tiredness, but it showed in their eyes. Even they had a restless night, but when Noah asked what happened, neither replied to him.
Noah did have a feeling that their sleeplessness was related to the labs and their memories. But he sincerely wished that would not be the case. And if it was, he hoped they would confide in him so that he would be able to help them feel better.
Yawn
Daniel let out another yawn beside Noah, and he quickly turned to place a hand on Daniel’s tired shoulder.
"Are you sure you are alright? You look like you are about to collapse any second. If you need my help, then tell me."
Noah looked worriedly toward Daniel, who chuckled with his tired eyes pulled into a smile.
"I am fine. The lack of sleep won’t kill me. Besides, I don’t even recall what that dream was about."
The confession did not help Noah feel better, but he could tell that Daniel did not want to talk about this.
Neither did Alan, who simply told Noah that he did not sleep due to excitement. But if he wanted to lie, he should have chosen his words more carefully. This sounded just pathetic, even for him.
Noah narrowed his eyes at Alan but decided not to press the matter any further.
"Excitement, huh? What exactly are you excited about?"
Alan’s expression froze for a second before he quickly recovered and gave Noah his usual shameless grin.
"The festival, of course. I have always enjoyed watching everyone make a fool of themselves during these events."
"That is not something you should be excited about."
Noah sighed and shook his head.
Daniel, who had been listening quietly, suddenly let out another yawn.
"You two can argue about this later. I think I am going to fall asleep if this teacher keeps talking."
Noah looked toward the front of the classroom and realized that the teacher was still explaining the details of the festival.
There were going to be various competitions, food stalls, performances, and even a special exhibition where students could showcase their esper abilities.
That last part immediately caught Noah’s attention.
An exhibition involving esper abilities meant that there would be many powerful students gathered in one place. If something went wrong, the academy would have difficulty controlling the situation.
And if the system wanted him to use this opportunity to bring Alan and Daniel closer, then there was probably something more to this festival than it seemed.
Noah frowned.
’This system wouldn’t give me an easy opportunity, would it?’
He already knew the answer.
Of course it wouldn’t.
