World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Chapter 144: Power Of Wind Monarch Skill (Part 2)

  • Next Chapter

Using his Wind Monarch skill, Evan took control of all the wind flowing within a three-kilometer radius in an instant.

Alice and the others felt the faint breeze that had been blowing since they entered the third floor suddenly come to a halt and the next second, their eyes widened in shock.

"Just how much Mana does this guy have?" Erza muttered in a dumbfounded voice as she stared at the thousands of tiny Wind Bullets and Wind Spears rapidly forming in the sky, covering the entire area.

The wind from every direction rushed toward Evan, who was hovering in the sky, taking the shape of bullets and spears that surrounded him.

"It’s not just about Mana," Alice said in a low voice, trying to overcome the shock in her heart. "To control his skills to such a degree without sacrificing their power, his control and Magic stats must also be incredibly high."

Evan closed his eyes and sensed the thousands of Wind Bullets and Wind Spears surrounding him.

With his Magic stat exceeding five hundred, each of his Wind Bullets and Wind Spears possessed enough power to seriously injure a Rank One Evolver.

But Evan wasn’t satisfied with that as he knew he could push it to even higher level.

The next second, he used the Touch of Thunder skill on Wind Monarch skill and increased the power of his attacks by another thirty percent.

Moreover, since they were elemental-based attacks, they also received an additional boost from his class, Elemental Apprentice.

On top of that, his Conqueror title provided another ten percent boost because he was currently inside a dungeon.

The thousands of Wind Bullets and Wind Spears spun like drills in the sky, radiating a terrifying aura that spread across an area of more than ten kilometers.

The rapidly spinning bullets and spears produced a screeching sound, throwing the surrounding air into extreme turbulence.

When Alice and the others looked up at the thousands of bullets and spears from the ground, they felt as if space itself were trembling and becoming distorted under the immense pressure.

The aura emanating from them was so overwhelming that even the charging monster horde came to a halt and looked up at the sky in fear.

"Creating a giant tornado that reaches the sky would have been more spectacular, but..." Evan muttered in a low voice before shaking his head. "There’s no need to go through all that trouble just for Rank One monsters."

Without wasting any time, he waved his hand, and all the Wind Spears and Wind Bullets rained down from the sky like a calamity.

A look of horror appeared on the monsters’ faces, and they immediately scattered, desperately trying to escape.

However, the attack covered such a vast area that none of them could get away.

Thousands of projectiles descended from the sky, piercing through every monster that came in their path.

Roars filled with pain and terror echoed everywhere as one monster after another turned into sieves, their bodies riddled with holes.

Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! ——

Loud explosions rang out one after another, and the entire third floor shook violently under the bombardment.

Many of the spears and bullets struck the hard ground, shaking the surroundings as enormous clouds of dust rose high into the sky.

Evan watched the results of his attack without much surprise, as he had already expected something like this.

’Having a high Magic stat is really useful. I only used about seventy percent of my Mana, but the attack is already this powerful.’

Alice and the others were utterly dumbfounded as they watched massive clouds of dust rise from the devastated battlefield, completely obscuring their view.

[You have killed Rank One Horned Bull, Level 48.]

[You have killed Rank One Wild Python, Level 43.]

[You have killed Rank One Titan Bear, Level 50.]

[You have killed - - - - -]

[You have killed - - - - -]

[You have killed - - - - -]

[You have killed - - - - -]

One notification after another appeared before Evan’s eyes as more and more monsters were killed under the bombardment.

"How can a Rank One Evolver unleash an attack of this level?" Kevin muttered in disbelief, unable to believe what he was seeing.

"This guy can’t even be called a monster anymore," Erza added, her eyes wide with shock.

Liam and the others already knew Evan was powerful enough to defeat them despite being a lower level than they were. However, they had never imagined that he could unleash an attack of this magnitude even without using his Epic Grade crossbow.

[You have leveled up and reached Level 40. You have received 3 free stat points.]

Evan glanced at the level-up notification and shook his head.

’I killed so many magical beasts, but leveling up is still painfully slow.’

Normally, the speed at which an Evolver leveled up depended on their class. The higher the class grade, the more effort it took to gain a level.

As far as Evan knew, even someone with a Unique-Grade class would have reached Level 45 or 46 if they had killed the same number of magical beasts as he had since entering the dungeon.

Yet here he was, still at Level 40.

This clearly demonstrated that his Elemental Apprentice class belonged to an entirely different league compared to other classes.

Shaking his head, Evan looked at the notifications that had just appeared before him.

[The fifth wave has been cleared.]

[You have cleared the third floor.]

[You can enter the fourth floor now.]

Evan glanced at the dead monsters, and when he saw that there were still no drops, the corners of his mouth twitched violently.

’Next time... Next time, I’ll definitely enter a dungeon that drops plenty of treasures!’ He swore inwardly before flying back toward Alice and the others.

"He killed all the monsters in less than a minute," Liam said, his heart still churning with shock.

"Less than a minute..." Kevin shook his head as he stared at the dust cloud that was gradually settling. "I think it was less than thirty seconds."

Soon, the dust cloud finally dissipated, revealing an apocalyptic scene.

The torn bodies of countless dead monsters lay scattered across the ground, each pierced by one or more projectiles.

The ground had turned completely red with blood, and the section of the ruined city in front of them had practically disappeared, reduced to dust under the bombardment of the Wind Spears and Wind Bullets.

"What an insane bastard..." Liam couldn’t help but curse, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down.

Soon, Evan landed beside them and smiled slightly.

"Let’s collect the Mana Cores," He said while panting slightly.

Although he hadn’t used all his Mana, that did not mean unleashing an attack of that magnitude was easy.

Moreover, controlling so many Wind Spears and Wind Bullets simultaneously wasn’t a simple task. It required extreme concentration and a strong mind to maintain precise control over every projectile.

Alice and the others silently stared at Evan. After a moment, Erza couldn’t help but ask, "What... what are you?"

Liam nodded and spoke as well.

"You are definitely not human. Just how much Mana do you have to unleash such a massive attack?"

Evan rolled his eyes at Liam’s words, wondering if he would collapse if he told him that he hadn’t even used all his Mana.

Shaking his head, he patted Liam’s shoulder and said, "Let’s collect the Mana Cores. If you collect more than I do, I’ll tell you how much Mana I have."

"Really?" Liam’s eyes lit up when he heard Evan’s words, and he immediately rushed toward the dead bodies.

"You rest and recover. I will collect the cores for you!"

Alice and the others were speechless when they saw this, but they didn’t say anything.

Evan smiled and sat down, looking toward the portal that had appeared some distance away.

"Let me recover some of my Mana, and then we can head to the next floor."

Alice and the others nodded before going to help Liam collect the cores.

Around three hours later, Evan had returned to his peak condition, and they entered the portal leading to the fourth floor.

As they passed through it, they found themselves standing on top of a mountain.

[You have arrived at the fourth floor.]

Evan and the others read the notification and were surprised to discover that, just like the first floor, this was an ordinary floor rather than a challenge arena.

"Let’s clear this floor and then fight the Rank Two boss monster on the fifth floor," Liam said before dashing forward.

Evan and the others followed him, and five hours later, they had easily cleared the fourth floor as well.

[You have cleared the fourth floor.]

[You can enter the fifth floor now.]

"Finally, we can fight the boss on the fifth floor!" Erza said when she saw the golden portal leading to the next floor.

Excitement flashed across everyone’s faces as they entered the portal and arrived on the fifth floor.
