"Adam lost!"

"Not only did he lose, but he lost against a human who is far below his level!"

"Don’t speak as if you can defeat this guy. Neither his Agility nor his Stamina is something a Level 37 Evolver should possess."

All the students stared at Evan in shock, their hearts filled with disbelief.

Adam was lying on the ground, panting heavily. He turned his head slightly to look at Evan, who also looked exhausted and a complicated look flashed in his eyes.

’Just what kind of monster is he?’ He thought inwardly.

A few minutes later, both of them had recovered enough stamina to stand up.

"You are really strong," Evan said first, looking at Adam sincerely.

Compared to the other Level 50 Evolvers or monsters he had encountered until now, Adam was definitely far stronger than any of them.

Adam took a deep breath and sighed.

"I admit I’m not as good as you." As he spoke, he couldn’t help but ask, "Are you really Level 37?"

Evan chuckled and pointed at Alice.

"If you don’t believe me, you can ask her."

Adam looked at Alice, who nodded and spoke calmly.

"He isn’t hiding his real level."

The students who had suspected that Evan was hiding his level couldn’t help but gasp in shock upon hearing Alice’s confirmation.

A look of disappointment also flashed in Adam’s eyes, as he had been hoping that Evan was hiding his real level.

That way, it would have been easier for him to accept his defeat.

Feeling bitter, he took off his Storage Ring and boots and handed them to Evan. Of course, before handing over his Storage Ring, he had already transferred everything inside it into one of his friend’s Storage Rings.

"Here are my Storage Ring and boots."

Evan showed a look of surprise and slapped his forehead.

"Oh, I completely forgot about these things. If you hadn’t mentioned them, I would have left without taking them." He spoke shamelessly as he snatched both items, as if he were afraid Adam might take them back.

Adam’s mouth twitched when he saw this, and he forced a smile.

Alice was also speechless and seeing Adam’s forced smile, she wondered if he would collapse if he found out that Evan hadn’t been planning to honor his part of the bet if he had lost.

Shaking her head, she approached Evan and asked, "Do you want to continue training here, or should we go somewhere else?"

"Let’s look at the other places. I don’t have the energy to train here anymore."

Alice nodded, and the two of them left the Agility Training Room.

Alice showed him around the academy, taking him to different training rooms.

There were gravity rooms, mana circulation rooms for training mana control, and many other facilities.

However, Evan merely looked at them without training in any of them.

Around two hours later, Alice finished showing him all the facilities inside the academy.

"Are we going back now?"

"Since we’ll be going to the Animal Kingdom Dungeon tomorrow, there’s no point in going back. We’ll stay here tonight and go directly to the dungeon with Liam and the others," Alice said to Evan before leading him outside the academy building.

She brought him to the dormitory building and led him inside.

When they arrived in front of a room, she told him to use the token Chancellor Flora had given him to claim it for himself.

Evan followed her instructions, and the closed door opened.

"You can stay here until we leave for the dungeon tomorrow. If you need anything, just press that button over there, and someone will come to help you," Alice said, pointing at a green button on the wall. "I’ll go and inform Liam and the others that we’ll be leaving tomorrow."

"All right. Thank you for showing me around."

Alice nodded and left after Evan entered his room.

The first thing he did after entering the room was take a bath, as he was drenched in sweat after training with the phantom trees.

Once he was done, he jumped onto the bed and immediately examined the two items Adam had practically donated to him.

---) Storage Ring (Rare-Grade): A ring with a storage space of 20 × 20 cubic meters. You can store anything inside it as long as it isn’t alive.

Evan already had a Storage Ring, but his was only Uncommon-Grade, and its storage space was also very small.

With this Rare-Grade Storage Ring in his hand, however, he would be able to store a lot more stuff.

Evan connected the Storage Ring to himself using a drop of blood and happily put it on.

"Let’s look at the real prize now," He muttered, shifting his attention to the boots.

The boots were black, with a slightly metallic texture along their sides.

As Evan focused on them, their details appeared before him.

---) Arastine Boots (Epic-Grade): Made from the silk of the Black Spider Emperor and the Dream Silkworm. Upon being equipped, they increase the user’s Agility and Magic by 60 points each. Once a day, the user can use the skills Haste and Charge.

---) Haste: Increases the user’s Agility by 100 points for five minutes.

---) Charge: Increases the user’s Strength by 150 points for one minute.

=====

"An Epic-Grade artifact..."

Evan was stunned when he saw that the boots were an Epic-Grade artifact because when he had first seen them, he had thought they were only Rare-Grade.

He recalled Adam’s expression when he handed over the boots and finally understood why he had looked so miserable.

’Damn, that guy must hate me to the bone now,’ He thought to himself before shifting his attention back to the boots.

Unlike his crossbow, the Arastine Boots focused more on enhancing stats, providing a massive boost to the wearer.

Just by wearing them, his Agility and Magic would increase by 60 points each, and both of boots skills were also focused on boosting his stats.

’Now I’m even more confident about tomorrow’s dungeon outing,’ Evan thought before putting away the boots.

He looked around the room, but seeing nothing interesting, he simply decided to sleep.

Knock! Knock!

Evan didn’t know how long he had slept when the sound of knocking on the door woke him up.

He stood up and opened the door, only to find Kevin and Liam standing outside.

"You sure know how to cause a commotion right after arriving here," Liam said as he entered the room without waiting for an invitation.

"Are you talking about beating that guy, Adam?" Evan asked with a yawn.

"What else? To think you’d defeat that guy in an Agility training session..." Kevin said, shaking his head as he entered the room as well. "Most of the students in the academy are talking about you right now. I even heard some of them planning to challenge you."

Evan’s eyes lit up slightly when he heard Kevin’s words.

"As long as they bring out some good items, I don’t mind accepting their challenges," He said, already thinking about plundering these rich elves.

Liam and Kevin looked at Evan’s greedy expression, and their mouths twitched slightly.

Shaking their heads, both of them stood up.

"Let’s go. It’s already dinner time. We’ll take you to the academy canteen," Liam said before walking out of the room.

Evan was taken aback by Liam’s words and only then noticed that it was already night.

’So I slept for that long,’ He thought inwardly before immediately following them.

’Hehe, I hope there are more good people in this academy willing to donate their treasures to poor me.
