Chapter 529 -381: A Match Made in Heaven

‘The Temporary Divine Kingdom. Isaac would call it the greatest invention of the Wizarding world in this Great Age of Pioneering!’

Bar none!

It wasn’t as if Isaac hadn’t envisioned something like this before. With a trove of data on Deities and his knowledge of the special relationship between the Mad Witch and the Outer Gods, Isaac had conceived of a Temporary Divine Kingdom long ago.

However, he had ultimately set the idea aside. According to his initial plans, creating a Temporary Divine Kingdom would be a massive undertaking, and the investment would be completely disproportionate to the rewards.

After all, a Divine Kingdom possessed a rank as high as Tier Six. If it were a matter of building a permanent Divine Kingdom, Isaac might have been interested. But if it was only temporary…

The cost was simply too great!

But the device created by the Arcanists of the Truth Association was different. Compared to Isaac’s wild concept of forging a counterfeit Divine Kingdom, the Temporary Divine Kingdom the Arcanists had created was a pure spell!

A spell that even a Tier Four Caster could use!

Of course, this also meant that compared to a true Divine Kingdom, the Temporary Divine Kingdom was only equivalent in rank to a certain extent. In terms of actual energy, it was far, far inferior.

But that was more than enough.

This spell had almost no practical combat applications. It had a long casting time, consumed a vast amount of energy, lacked effective offensive or support capabilities, and was incredibly fragile.

It had many shortcomings, a typical product created simply to validate a theory.

But…

When the Temporary Divine Kingdom was paired with Saint Incarnation…

And then applied to pioneering a New World…

Everything changed completely!

The Mage version of Saint Incarnation, much like the Temporary Divine Kingdom, was also created purely to validate a theory. It had virtually no practical combat applications and shared most of the Temporary Divine Kingdom’s weaknesses. Its only improvement was slightly better resilience.

Because it inherited a portion of the caster’s own power, the Saint form could hold its own in a fight, even against opponents of the same tier.

But this spell had a fatal flaw. First, it was time-limited and couldn’t exist permanently. Second, the Saint form’s consciousness could not coexist with the caster’s original consciousness!

In other words, despite having two bodies, there was still only one consciousness!

While it was possible to split one’s focus to control both bodies simultaneously, the Mage version of Saint Incarnation was a spell of incredible delicacy. The caster could not afford to be disturbed while maintaining it, or the Saint form would dissipate immediately.

But with the Temporary Divine Kingdom, everything changed!

When using Saint Incarnation, a caster could first manifest the Temporary Divine Kingdom and then anchor the Saint Incarnation spell to it. This allowed the caster’s main body to remain within the Temporary Divine Kingdom while the Saint Incarnation descended into a Little World to explore. This not only provided an extra protective shell against unforeseen circumstances, buying the caster precious reaction time, but the “Divine Kingdom” attribute of the temporary realm also bestowed special powers upon the Saint form.

The issues of high energy consumption and long wind-up time remained unsolved.

But because the context of its application had changed, these were no longer problems at all!

This, in fact, was the greatest part of this combination!

What was the most troublesome part of pioneering a Little World?

The World Wall!

Whether you were Tier Four, Tier Five, or even Tier Six, to truly pioneer a Little World, you first had to crack its World Wall. Otherwise, any forceful attempt would only result in a pile of ruins in the Void!

Thus, in the past, pioneering a New World always required bringing a large team for the sole purpose of gathering enough data to crack the World Wall.

This method was actually quite inefficient because data collection was heavily reliant on Casters. While Knights and other brutes could gather data using Magic Items, they had no way of verifying its accuracy.

Throughout history, many Knights had been lured by the natives of Little Worlds with false data, severely hindering progress on cracking the World Wall. In some cases, they even led the main force into a trap, allowing the natives to turn the tables and achieve victory.

But with this combination of spells, everything was different!

Wizards could now place their main body within the Temporary Divine Kingdom and then, in their Saint form, descend silently into the Little World to personally collect data on the World Wall.

Although the arrival of a Saint Incarnation was hardly a subtle event, such phenomena occurred frequently in all sorts of worlds. It was a signature move of Deities, so the natives of a Little World wouldn’t immediately associate the arrival with an invader from the Void.

For Wizards, this was a massive boost in efficiency. After all, a Wizard’s greatest asset had always been Knowledge, not their energy level.

This was also why a Wizard’s Saint form, despite having a lower energy level and a weaker life form, could fight on par with opponents of the same tier.

Take Isaac himself, for example. Back when he was Tier Three, he was practically invincible among his peers, but he was still no match for a Tier Four expert. However, if he were to use his current knowledge in a Tier Three Saint form, an ordinary Tier Four would be no match for him at all!

The difference wasn’t just in Life Level, but also in perspective and Knowledge!

And on a chaotic battlefield like this one, the Saint form had another brand-new advantage: it was unafraid of death!

After all, the worst that could happen was the Saint form biting the dust, which wouldn’t affect the main body at all. It would merely cost some more Magic Power to cast another Temporary Divine Kingdom and Saint Incarnation, though the cost of this combination was indeed immense.
