Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 528 - 380: The Saint’s Descent! But the Wizard Version (Part 2)
"I understand. I only came this time to test out the Star God Melting Furnace. But you, you must be careful. Boundless is the most suitable Authority for a Knight, bar none!" Gaia's expression turned serious.
"Yes, I know." Isaac nodded, saying nothing more.
"Alright. I've always trusted you. This is all I can do to help you for now." As he spoke, Gaia handed over a Crystal Ball and a ring.
Isaac raised an eyebrow but didn't refuse, accepting the two items.
The Crystal Ball contained standard intelligence on this world, Bruleidi, including but not limited to spheres of influence, resource distribution, Magic Power tide patterns, overall topography, and even its spatial structure.
The information it held was so complex that a Crystal Ball was necessary to contain it.
As for the ring, it was a token from the Kingdom Alliance. It was just an Ordinary Magic Item, its main function being to connect to the Kingdom Alliance's mission platform. There, one could accept and post missions, as well as view the treasury.
To exchange items, however, one would need to travel to the Kingdom Alliance's core stronghold in this world.
In this Magic World, no one dared to create a system for remote item exchange. Even the Truth Association and the major Ancient Wizard Organizations couldn't guarantee their technology wouldn't be cracked.
To a true powerhouse, such a system was no different from weeds in a field—easy pickings for anyone to take.
These were lessons paid for in blood!
After handing the items to Isaac, Gaia didn't linger. He flew off immediately. He was also very busy in this world; just as he'd said, he was going to test the power of the Star God Melting Furnace.
Isaac had currently only theorized the Star God Melting Furnace up to Tier Three, and that was as far as he could go. After all, he wasn't a Knight. Forcing the deduction further wasn't impossible, but the resulting Tier Four Furnace Skill would have significant problems.
In fact, even the current Tier Three Furnace Skill had issues; they were just obscured by the vast amount of data from Isaac's deductions.
This was also the purpose of Gaia's trip. Caesar's path was already set and wasn't suited for the Star God Melting Furnace. Only Gaia was a good fit. As a Tier Four Miracle Knight, despite being among the weakest of his Tier, he was still Tier Four. In the Real World, he didn't have many opportunities for combat, even with its current, incredible chaos.
But here, it was different. He could only fight other Tier Fours, and nearly every one of them was stronger than him. However, they held no deep-seated grudges against each other. Winning would be difficult, but survival shouldn't be a problem.
Furthermore, he belonged to the Kingdom Alliance. Under most circumstances, no one would be willing to fight him to the death; after all, there was no benefit in it, and it would only earn them a host of new enemies.
The Kingdom Alliance might have a loose structure, but no matter how loose, as long as the War continued, certain rules had to be upheld, at least publicly.
So, Gaia was still somewhat confident, especially since he had received powerful support from Isaac this time!
The Invincible Shield...
What the hell was there to fear!
The more he thought about it, the more excited Gaia became. He gradually cast aside that last shred of pride and began to shamelessly enjoy the benefits Isaac had given him.
...
Meanwhile, after bidding his father farewell, Isaac entered the illusory Mage Tower and began reviewing the information on Brurel.
Brurel, a rather special Little World!
It wasn't flat with a dome-like sky like most worlds, but was instead more akin to the planets from Isaac's past life!
This was somewhat incredible, because in this universe, beings known as Star Gods existed. The vast majority of planets would eventually become Star Gods!
A Star God's immense power would assimilate all life existing upon It. Therefore, generally speaking, planets were rare in the Boundless Void. Even when they did exist, most were barren, dead worlds of no value.
If life existed on a planet, even if it didn't start as a nascent Star God, a Cluster Consciousness would eventually emerge from the Reproduction of life over time. Then, by virtue of its unique structure, it would evolve into a Star God!
Only a rare few planets would follow a different path.
The frustrating part was...
Although such Little Worlds were rare, they didn't actually have any special value...
'No, that's not right.' According to the Wizards' research, these special Little Worlds could also be used for God Creation experiments—to manufacture Star Gods!
The moment inspiration struck, Isaac looked at the Crystal Ball in his hand, deep in thought.
'Create a Star God...'
'Would that count as a Heroic feat?'
Isaac frowned slightly but ultimately shook his head. Transforming Brurel into a Star God wasn't difficult; it only required setting up a few rituals. In terms of difficulty and impact, it could be considered on the level of a Heroic feat.
But that was all there was to it.
Just being difficult and having a large impact wasn't enough to qualify something as a Heroic feat or a Great Creation.
The most important criterion was still benefit!
What benefit could it bring to the Real World or the Boundless Void!
And clearly, a Star God—one that didn't belong to the Real World—was, for the Real World, not just useless, but Isaac would be lucky if it didn't become a liability.
As for the Boundless Void, the answer was even more obvious. Turning it into a Star God would only add one Tier Six Deity. But if left alone, Brurel, which had already reached the limits of a Little World, had the potential to advance into a Tier Six Great World!
You'd be lucky not to get punished, let alone complete a Heroic feat.
Of course, and more importantly, the experiment itself wasn't difficult. It only required setting up rituals, strengthening the planet's gravity, and guiding the convergence of life's spiritual essence to sublimate it into a God.
The hardest part of the process was completing these preparations while under siege by multiple factions, making it a thankless task.
Furthermore, related experimental data was already on record with the Flesh Sect. It was one of the few Deity experiments whose data was publicly available, obviously out of fear that some lunatic might commit such a wanton act of waste just to obtain the research data again.
So, the idea merely flickered through Isaac's mind before he dismissed it. It was, however, something to be wary of—he had to guard against some madman trying to ruin everything for everyone with this.
The information Gaia provided was even more detailed than what Isaac had gathered on his own, especially concerning the general distribution of various resource deposits. It was no exaggeration to say that with this intelligence, the resource-gathering efficiency of his Demonic Puppet Legion could increase by ten percent!
And with the High Level account for the Kingdom Alliance's mission platform provided by the ring, that efficiency could increase by another ten percent!
A mere twenty percent shouldn't be underestimated. Scaled across the entire Demonic Puppet Legion, the difference was substantial.
Not to mention, this was just the benefit to the Demonic Puppet Legion. With the aid of this intelligence, Isaac's own operations would proceed much more smoothly as well.
Thus, after arriving in this world, Isaac didn't act immediately. Instead, he first thoroughly reviewed the intelligence in the Crystal Ball. As the saying goes: know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated.
And as it turned out, his review revealed something quite interesting.
Unlike the Wars in other Little Worlds, in this one, the easiest Tier Four Powerhouses to deal with were mostly Wizards, not Knights!
This wasn't to say that the Wizards who entered this world were weaker than the Knights. In terms of power, Wizards were still the strongest of their Level, both in the diversity of their methods and their absolute damage output.
But the reason Wizards were the easiest to deal with was that most of those who descended into this world had used the Saint's Descent technique!
Saint's Descent was a method used by Deities to bypass the World Wall, allowing them to exert their full power within a world. If a sufficient price was paid, they could even summon a Saint form that was infinitely close to Tier Six!
Now, this method had been gradually adopted by Wizards and had recently undergone a major breakthrough!
Arcanists created a new Magic—Temporary Divine Kingdom. For the duration of the Magic, it was indistinguishable from a Deity's Divine Kingdom.
Originally, this was just another Ordinary result of research into the Divine Domain.
That is, until a genius had a flash of inspiration and connected it to the long-since-deconstructed Saint's Descent...
...and applied it to the colonization of Little Worlds.
