Chapter 526 -379: Interesting Bruleidi

In the vastness of the Boundless Void, the Real World was undoubtedly the most promising path for them to advance further.

Of course, there were those with fierce personalities who would rather die than surrender. When encountering such an Existence, one could only chalk it up to bad luck, abandon the fusion of the Little World, and instead manage it as a High-Level resource point while slowly trying to win them over.

Persuading them with reason, moving them with emotion.

In most cases, the outcome would develop as the Real World hoped. After all, though the worlds were different, some principles were universal. Namely—a wise man submits to circumstances!

However, that wasn’t the case with this world. Well, at least not before.

Isaac had no way of knowing the specifics of how the Tier Five powerhouses had negotiated the terms. He only knew one thing: the rules for pioneering this Tier Five Little World were largely the same as before. Tier Five powerhouses would not enter the fray, the highest combatants would be Tier Four, and powerhouses of each tier would face their respective counterparts.

Punching up against a higher tier was permitted, but proactively punching down against a lower tier was forbidden.

This was the rule in broad strokes. The more detailed regulations concerned the overall model of the war.

The original war model was a factional conflict: the natives of the Little World against the forces of the Terra Kingdom. Both sides would wage a national war, and victory meant thoroughly crushing the opposition.

Of course, it was an unwritten rule that everyone simply waited for the Real World’s forces to defeat the natives.

But now the situation had changed. With the Terra Kingdom’s power waning, some of the rules naturally changed as well. It was still a factional conflict, but two new factions had been added to the original two.

One was the Orc faction from the Otesk Empire, and the other was the free faction centered around the Kingdom Alliance.

It was worth noting that with the arrival of the two new powers, the natives hadn’t chosen to join the stronger Orc faction. Instead, they had joined the Kingdom Alliance—the weakest of the bunch!

There was nothing to be done about it. After all, the natives of this world were primarily human.

Those not of our kind are sure to have different allegiances.

That principle held true in any world.

Besides, although the Kingdom Alliance was the weakest, that was only because it was a mere alliance. Its members all had their own agendas and couldn’t focus their strength, which made them seem weaker. ℯ

In terms of actual power, however, the Kingdom Alliance was even slightly stronger than the Terra Kingdom!

This naturally made them more appealing to the natives; after all, it allowed the natives to sell their allegiance for a good price.

Thus, the factional conflict in this Little World was now effectively divided into three camps: the natives, the Terra Kingdom, and the Orc Empire. While the first two occasionally clashed, they spent most of their time working together against the strongest of them all—the Orc Empire.

As for the Kingdom Alliance…

Because its composition was so complex, its members were more like mercenaries and Adventurers. They flocked to wherever the profits were, prioritizing their own interests above all else. As long as the price was right, they would fight anyone!

Normally, such fence-sitting behavior would just get them focused down and instantly eliminated by the other three factions, forcing them into an early exit.

But sometimes, things have a funny way of working out.

Since neither the Otesk Empire nor the Terra Kingdom was confident in its ability to conquer this Little World and preside over the fusion ritual, they both, with a tacit understanding, ended up leaking its coordinates!

This leak, it must be said, attracted the attention of many powerful individuals. For these lone experts, the Kingdom Alliance was undoubtedly the most alluring of the four factions. It offered freedom without restriction, was supported by a powerful intelligence network, and was insanely efficient for acquiring resources!

In fact, three months ago, the Kingdom Alliance had even begun a deeper collaboration: jointly building a quest platform!

Regardless of your faction affiliation, you could accept quests through this platform. Any spoils acquired during a quest were yours to keep, and completing it earned you points. These points could then be spent on the Kingdom Alliance’s platform in exchange for Knowledge and treasures.

This model was quite well-established; after all, many Wizard Organizations had developed along these same lines.

Its only shortcoming was perhaps the scarcity of Tier Four or higher Wizards within the Kingdom Alliance, which made it difficult for them to provide valuable Knowledge. At best, they could offer some treasures, and even that depended on the Kingdom Alliance’s willingness to pay a hefty price.

If they were willing to make the sacrifices, the alliance had a good chance of flourishing. But if not…

…the end result would likely be a flash in the pan. In the worst-case scenario, it might even disband before this War was over.

In the short term, however, there was no cause for concern. After all, the intelligence it provided was reason enough for “Loose Cultivators” like Isaac—who had no desire to join the other two major factions—to sign up.

Furthermore, the ability to post quests was quite tempting for Isaac. As a Tier Four Mage, compared to those close-combat brutes, he was considered rather wealthy!

To get back to the matter at hand, as for the current deployment, the Demonic Puppet Legion’s main task would be to act as mercenaries for the other three factions. They would take quests on the Kingdom Alliance’s platform and fight all three sides!

They would also occasionally assist Isaac in gathering resources.

As for his top combatants, besides the Silver Knight commanding the Demonic Puppet Legion, he planned to bring Liu Li, Shushu, and the Saint Master. Smith and Lorna would remain to guard the territory and deal with any unexpected situations.

The flames of war were currently spreading across the Real World; only a Tier Four presence could properly defend the territory.

Besides, it had been a long time since the three of them had accompanied him on a mission, and their power had fallen behind somewhat. This was a perfect opportunity to help them raise their Level through real combat.

Isaac didn’t hold out much hope, however. Breaking through to Tier Four was no easy feat. Of the three, Liu Li had the best chance, as she was essentially a Demon God’s Apostle—a product of Isaac’s [Legend of the God Stealer]. Her path to advancement was the simplest: she just needed to continuously steal the power of Deities.

The ability only placed demands on Isaac, not on Liu Li herself.

But Shushu and the Saint Master were different. If they wanted to break through, they had to rely on genuine Cultivation. Even the Saint Master, who could also steal Demon God Power, first needed to master the corresponding Demon God’s Secret Techniques.

But even if they couldn’t advance to Tier Four, it was still good to let them see the world. The main principle was to spread the opportunities around!

Soon, Isaac took his retinue to the Flesh Sect, preparing to travel to the Little World through the Sect’s World Gate. It is worth mentioning that before he left, Isaac left a clone behind for Angel, tasked with guiding her and Lorna in their studies of fundamental Knowledge.

He could have actually used Privilege Magic: Lorna’s Study Time on her. This was a Privilege Magic designed for learning that Isaac had developed specifically for Lorna, allowing one to master a vast amount of basic knowledge in a short period.

It was perfect for a Witch like Angel, who wielded immense Magic Power but was completely ignorant of the associated knowledge.

In the end, however, Isaac decided against it. ‘After all, Angel doesn’t lack similar abilities. She has the motivation to learn; it’s just that her fundamentals are so poor she can’t approach it systematically.’

‘Besides, using such a special Magic, made just for Lorna, on another Witch… it just feels weird…’

‘It’s probably for the best not to use it anyway. Having them study together might spark a bit of Lorna’s own interest in the Truth.’

…

After paying the toll, Isaac led the Demonic Puppet Legion through the Flesh Sect’s World Gate, arriving directly inside the Tier Five Little World: Bruleidi.

That’s right. Unlike last time, when they had appeared outside in the Void, this time they arrived directly inside the world itself!

Bruleidi. The name had no special meaning; it simply came from the first Knight in this world to ascend to Tier Five. This was the basis for naming most Little Worlds.

Or rather, it was the basis the *Real World* used to name these Little Worlds. As for what they were originally called…

No one cared.

At least, no one in the Real World cared.
