Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 515: Isaac: You Won’t Even Say Thank You to Me! You Stinking Foreign Evil God
Chapter 515 -371: Isaac: You Won’t Even Say Thank You to Me! You Stinking Foreign Evil God
His headache wasn’t due to a lack of gains, but an overabundance of them. For his current self, trying to take it all in would surely lead to some indigestion…
The harvest from the Mysterious Void was manageable. The Forbidden Knowledge was all fragmented, useful only for bolstering his foundations. The true name would have been fine if it belonged to any other Deity, but that fellow Manchester had already fallen into a deep slumber—the kind where he was so dead to the world he couldn’t be woken. He was useless for anything other than padding the numbers in the Ten Thousand Gods Scripture.
But the Authority of [Analysis]…
No matter how pathetic Manchester was, he was still a proper Tier Six Deity. The main reason he had fallen to his current state was that the Mad Witch was protected by the supreme treasure, the Gate of Legends.
Although, in theory, this plundered power could be reclaimed with interest after the Mad Witch advanced to Tier Five.
But that came with two prerequisites. First, you had to be able to defeat the Mad Witch!
The Path of the Mad Witch had survived to this day not just because of the Gate of Legends’ protection, but primarily because Tier Five Mages once again possessed the ability to fight above their tier!
In a one-on-one fight, a Tier Six Deity would have a hard time defeating a normal Tier Five Legendary Wizard, let alone a mad genius like a Mad Witch. In a one-on-one scenario, there was a high probability of being counter-killed; only a many-on-one fight offered a chance of victory.
But even if you got past the Mad Witch, there was still the second point—the other Outer Gods, watching like vultures!
This step was the most perilous. A single misstep could lead to not only failing to reclaim your lost power but also being devoured completely by other Outer Gods.
This was the root cause of Manchester’s fall from grace. He was weak to begin with, and he got bullied. Afterward, he didn’t even dare to trouble the Mad Witch and had to hide carefully, lest other Outer Gods follow the trail of his stolen power to come and prey on his weakness.
But no matter how badly he fared, he was still a Tier Six Deity. His opponents were likewise either Tier Six Deities or Legendary Wizards with Tier Six combat power, their standing far above Isaac’s.
Therefore, his Authority of [Analysis] was also at Tier Six!
Any higher, and it would enter the domain of true Sovereignty!
For Isaac, who was only at Tier Four, something like this was an extreme luxury. He even doubted if he could digest it at all…
“Sigh…”
After staring at the Crystal Stone in his hand and pondering for a moment, Isaac let out a heavy sigh. No matter how hard it was to digest, he had to do it. He couldn’t just sell it, could he?
Who could possibly afford something so precious?
And he had to do it quickly. If news of this got out, it would be extremely dangerous for him.
Isaac lowered his eyelids. After a moment of thought, he put it away. He needed to plan out exactly how to digest it; this couldn’t be rushed.
Afterward, Isaac cleaned up the remnants of the ritual, then walked to his desk, sat down, and began to contemplate his next plans.
Time was already tight, and now he had another major task. Even with the ten years of blank time from the Core of Time, it still wasn’t enough. He needed to plan things out carefully, or rather, make some trade-offs.
First, fusing with the Tier Six Authority of [Analysis] was the absolute top priority. Not only because of its immense value, but also because a stronger [Analysis] would make his research go much more smoothly.
Second was his research on Witches. But the witch research project was a broad category, further divided into many sub-categories. The top priority was definitely the Witch’s Secret Medicine. Besides being something he needed to trade with Angel for the Core of Time, it was also the core item for breaking into the Witch Country’s market.
It would also be of great benefit to his overall research on Witches.
After that was the derivation of the Star God Knight Furnace Technique. This wasn’t urgent for the time being; he still needed to collect more data, and its difficulty wasn’t high.
But after that…
Isaac wrote three terms on the draft paper: Bloodline Mage, Faith Wizard, and Divine Spirit Knight. After a moment of contemplation, he crossed them all out one by one.
These three were the research directions Isaac had tentatively set for a Great Creation.
How should he put it? The overall thinking wasn’t wrong. If he succeeded with any of the three, it would count as a Great Creation.
But after his research on the Star Mage, Isaac realized his previous self had been too naive!
A brand-new Extraordinary path with limitless potential wasn’t that easy to research, even if it was just a branch of an existing Extraordinary path.
Take the Star Mage as an example. Trying to complete an entire Extraordinary path in a single step was simply impossible!
This wasn’t a task for one person, or even one generation. This would require several, or even dozens, of generations of Wizards to complete!
In other words, a Great Creation was still too distant a goal for him at his current level…
Although, in theory, a Tier Four Mage was indeed qualified to research a Great Creation…
But there was no doubt that setting his sights on that now would be getting ahead of himself. The immediate priority should be to focus on a [Heroic Deed], accumulate enough experience, advance to Tier Five, and then consider such matters.
And as for a [Heroic Deed]…
Relatively speaking, that was much simpler, at least for Isaac. The difficulty of completing one was less than the difficulty of finding one. In this day and age, with the development of the Wizard Civilization, not just any shoddy piece of research could be considered a [Heroic Deed].
Judging from Isaac’s last two experiences, if it involved creating or improving an Extraordinary Profession, it had to reach at least Tier Three or Tier Four. ‘Perhaps the research into Bloodline Mages can be started ahead of schedule?’
Isaac narrowed his eyes, and finally, he once again wrote “Bloodline Mage” clearly at the bottom of the draft paper. As for the other two, Faith Wizard and Divine Spirit Knight…
That stuff involved stealing the power of Deities. You either had to release a complete version all at once or possess overwhelming power yourself. Otherwise, it was all for naught, as you would easily be ganged up on by the Deities!
They weren’t suitable for phased research.
So, the goals were now set. Fuse with [Analysis], then research Witches, at least to the stage of simulating bloodline power to accumulate the technical foundation for Bloodline Mage research. And finally, derive the Star God Furnace Method.
After that would be researching the first stage of the Bloodline Mage while searching for his third [Heroic Deed] in preparation for advancing to Tier Five.
Of course, in the midst of all this, he still had to make money and expedite the construction of the Floating City. That thing was one of the pillars he would rely on to go toe-to-toe with the Outer Gods after he reached Tier Five.
After roughly organizing his future plans, deep purple Dimensional Magic Power surged from Isaac’s hand, completely incinerating the draft paper and obliterating its traces from this world.
The contents were rather blasphemous; he didn’t dare to keep it.
‘Well, I dare to research it, though…’
As for how to fuse with the Authority of [Analysis], to be honest, while Isaac didn’t have a ready-made method, it wasn’t too difficult for him either, because he could simply integrate it into his Dimension World.
Given the Dimension World’s standing, fusing a Tier Six Authority would also be like overeating. It would be a bit much to stomach, causing its development to become somewhat skewed, but it definitely wouldn’t be impossible to absorb. Coupled with the assistance of a ritual, the difficulty would be close to nil.
But if he could, Isaac didn’t want to resort to this last-ditch option.
Leaving aside the fact that the Authority of [Analysis] would be influenced by the Dimension World’s Concept after integration, causing a slight bias in the domains it could analyze, the mere fact that it would be attached to the Dimension World, making it more difficult to use, was something Isaac found hard to accept.
It wasn’t convenient enough.
Moreover, as the Dimension World grew further in the future, this ability might even get “banned” by the Real World. He would have to start all over again then, which wasn’t worth it.
But other methods…
…were far too difficult…
Streams of illusory data flashed through Isaac’s eyes. One plan after another emerged in his mind, only to be rejected. Slowly, as time passed and more and more plans were discarded, an expected answer surfaced in Isaac’s mind—a Ritual!
Yes, in the end, it still came down to a ritual.
And it should be a ritual.
It was not only the domain Legendary Wizards excelled in, but it also held the fine reputation of being a magic amplifier. Ritualism was also a required subject for Arcanists.
And so, time slowly trickled by. Under the somewhat incredulous gazes of Philo and Angel, Isaac once again began researching a new ritual. To them, it was obvious that Isaac was preparing to make a move on another Outer God…
Just as Isaac was immersing himself in his research, in the blink of an eye, an eon passed…
