Chapter 514 -371: Isaac: You Won’t Even Say Thank You to Me! You Stinking Out-of-Towner Evil God

Manchester’s decisiveness was beyond Isaac’s expectations. He had only just found Manchester’s true name as a Deity within the Mysterious Void, along with scraping together a tiny bit of Forbidden Knowledge related to Magic Organ modification, when the interruption of the ritual kicked him out.

In the blink of an eye, Isaac’s consciousness returned to the laboratory, and he found himself standing before the ritual.

Scratching his head, Isaac stared at the concluded ritual before him, feeling a little puzzled. Just before he left, he thought he’d heard Manchester let out an angry roar…

‘What’s that guy roaring about? All I did was take his true name and a little Forbidden Knowledge, right?’

‘This is barely anything.’

‘And why did the ritual get interrupted anyway?’

Isaac’s brow furrowed. Although everyone called him a lunatic with a death wish, only Isaac himself knew that he was, in fact, always cautious and deeply cherished his own life.

In his dealings with Outer Gods, no matter how smoothly things went, he always kept a part of his focus on his Golden Finger’s fault tolerance rate. If the downward curve ever looked off, he would pull out decisively.

And he remembered very clearly that, the moment before he left the Mysterious Void, the fault tolerance rate was as high as nine hundred and seventy percent!

‘So why was I suddenly kicked out?’

Just as he was puzzling over this, Isaac suddenly noticed a crystal floating in the center of the Ritual Array. It pulsed with a sickening, repulsive five-colored light. As he stared at the Five-Colored Crystal Stone radiating its evil aura, a wild idea surfaced in his mind…

‘It can’t be…’

Isaac gulped. He suppressed his instinct to use [Analysis] on the Crystal Stone, instead walking forward step by step, slowly approaching the Five-Colored Crystal Stone. This was a moment that called for a little anticipation.

Walking slowly to the Five-Colored Crystal Stone, Isaac reached out and plucked it from the air. A stream of information instantly flowed into his mind.

“It’s really the entire [Analysis] Authority!” Isaac stared at the Five-Colored Crystal Stone in his hand, astonished.

Although Isaac had requested an Authority during the ritual, he honestly hadn’t expected Manchester to give him this much…

‘I was just expecting a token amount. To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes in the first place; I’m used to taking things myself. With the same ritual, what you get from a normal trade versus what you take by force are two completely different things.’

But…

‘Manchester actually gave it all away!’

‘That’s right, the entire [Analysis] Authority! He handed it all over!’

‘He didn’t leave a single scrap for himself!’

One had to understand, out of the principle of “sustainably draining the pond,” whether it was a normal trade for a Mad Witch or someone like Isaac who just took things directly from the Mysterious Void, no one would ever take everything. With the exception of special existences like Forbidden Knowledge and scepters of authority, even the most ruthless Mad Witch would never completely take away powers like Divine Power, Magic, and Authority.

They would always leave a little seed behind, so that in the future, whether for themselves or for others, there would be something left to take. Draining the pond to get all the fish was something you just didn’t do.

And yet, right now, that very thing had happened right before Isaac’s eyes…

Manchester had decisively used the power of the trade ritual to completely and utterly strip himself of the [Analysis] Authority he possessed!

Isaac suspected the guy had wanted to do this for a long time but just never got the chance. After all, a power like an Authority, for all its strength, was also deeply bound to its owner. At most, one could only weaken it continuously; it was impossible to strip it away completely.

Unless you died.

This was also why Mad Witches never carelessly traded for an Authority from an Outer God.

But a Mad Witch’s trade ritual was different. If the rules were satisfied, it could be forcibly stripped away. Although the owner would still be injured, the consequences wouldn’t be nearly as severe. At the very least, it wouldn’t kill you.

And for an Evil God who already possessed a high degree of being Undying, the price was practically negligible!

In fact, for Manchester, this might even be a case where the benefits outweighed the drawbacks!

After all, because of this damned [Analysis] Authority, He had suffered no small amount of persecution from Mad Witches. Take now, for example. He had sealed himself away to that extent, yet was still forcibly awakened by Isaac. He didn’t even have a chance to throw a fit about being woken up before that guy was already all over him!

‘I suspect this guy planned to do this a long time ago,’ Isaac thought. ‘It was just too difficult before, which is why he dragged it out until now.’

Losing the [Analysis] Authority would undoubtedly leave Manchester greatly weakened. Not only would his Divine Authority collapse, but he would also have to fall back into a deep slumber for several thousand, perhaps even tens of thousands of years.

But from the looks of it now, this act of shedding its tail like a gecko might actually be a good thing for Manchester. At least, with only the [Knowledge] Authority, He wouldn’t be nearly as tempting to Mad Witches.

At the very least, Isaac himself had absolutely no interest in Him now.

‘[Knowledge]?’

‘Even a dog wouldn’t want that!’

Thinking of this, Isaac’s brow furrowed. He remembered Manchester’s furious roar just before the ritual ended. He couldn’t make out the words, but he was sure it wasn’t anything pleasant. He’d been cursed by too many Outer Gods not to recognize that tone instantly.

“Tsk. I do you such a huge favor, and not even a word of thanks.” Isaac shook his head, slightly miffed.

(Manchester: *&%…&$…$…!!!)

After briefly lamenting the impolite Manchester, Isaac looked down at the Power Crystal Stone in his hand, his brow furrowed. The haul this time was indeed much greater than expected, but it seemed…

‘It’s too much!’

Isaac felt a headache coming on. He wasn’t worried that there were any strings attached to the Crystal Stone. If the severance hadn’t been absolute, the [Analysis] Authority would simply return to Manchester, and he’d once again be targeted by hordes of Mad Witches.
