Chapter 494: Chapter 359: The Bountiful Heroic and the Witch of Time
To be honest, when Isaac perceived this information from the world consciousness, he felt a pang of guilt for a second or two. ’I’m such a scumbag...’
But the feeling lasted only a moment before Isaac tossed it aside. ’I’m doing this for the world consciousness’s own good,’ he thought. ’What future is there for it, cooped up in this little place?’
At that thought, Isaac nodded in satisfaction. ’Yep, that’s it!’
With that, Isaac immediately checked the rewards from the ceremony. Although the gifts were still coalescing, he already knew their specific contents from the information he’d received.
It was worth noting that classes like the Star Mage and the Law-Breaking Swordsman were lesser creations, born from emulating a Great Creation. While they didn’t qualify for the title of Great Creation, their potential accomplishments were still astonishing. Take the Star Mage, for instance, which Isaac had just perfected. Its current limit was only Tier Four, and the path beyond was incredibly arduous, yet there was still a sliver of hope for it to become a path to the very heavens.
Therefore, such Creations were also known as Heroics. Each Heroic not only granted its creator two gifts of power, but it could also replace the exclusive advancement ceremony for a Legendary Mage. Furthermore, the ability that would have been granted by the replaced ceremony would also be converted into one of the Heroic’s gifts!
In other words, a normal advancement would grant a boon corresponding to one’s tier. Using a Heroic to advance, however, would enhance that boon by one or even several tiers!
For instance, from this Star Mage Heroic, Isaac had obtained a total of three gifts!
The first was a standard class gift, equivalent to multiclassing into the Star Mage’s Path of the Extraordinary. In other words, he now possessed the Star Mage’s ability to summon Star Beasts—a significant boost to his power!
’I’m Tier Four, so the Star Beast I summon is also Tier Four,’ he mused. ’And it seems to be a fearless one at that. A perfect meat shield!’
And that wasn’t all. Besides the Star Beast, the Star Mage class itself had some unique abilities related to the Star Gods. For example, under a starry sky, both Casting speed and power would receive a boost. On a starlit night, a Star Mage’s mind would become more active, their inspiration more plentiful.
After all, for the Star Mage class to have developed to this point, it clearly had a few tricks up its sleeve.
More importantly, this gift wasn’t a one-time deal. If the Star Mage class developed new abilities in the future, Isaac would gain them as well. And he had a feeling new abilities were coming soon!
After all, the Star Mage integration ceremony had been a success. Soon, there would be more and more true Star Mages, and the class’s power would experience explosive growth in a short amount of time!
And that was just the first of three gifts!
At this moment, Isaac was beginning to understand why there were so few Miracle Ceremonies in the Real World.
Of course, ’few’ wasn’t exactly the right word. There were actually quite a lot of Miracle Ceremonies in the Real World. If one was dedicated to finding them, attending three to five a year was no problem. A large number of Adventurers relied on these ceremonies to make a living, or even to advance further.
Still, their number paled in comparison to the number of Tier Four Miracle Mages. Considering how many Miracle Mages there were, the Real World should have been overflowing with Miracle Ceremonies by now.
Now, however, Isaac understood. ’With Heroics, who would bother with Miracles?’
In contrast to the first gift, the second gift from the Heroic made Isaac frown. It was another ability—the Starry Sky Law.
However, the information on this second gift was much simpler than the first. All Isaac knew was that it was something similar to the Silver Law. He would have to wait until he had truly obtained it to know the specifics.
This made Isaac frown again. ’I really hope it’s not an actual Law,’ he thought. Although it would be a completely new Law, "new" likely just meant it would provide him with some theoretical Knowledge. How much practical use it would have was another question entirely.
Fortunately, the third gift was a good one, and quite specific: a resource-type Little World!
In the Boundless Void, Little Worlds were divided into four types. The first was the barren Little World, which was also the most common. This kind was pretty much useless; their greatest value was being captured by Wizards and refined into Storage Sub-planes.
Next were the rarer resource-type Little Worlds. Their numbers weren’t low in the grand scheme of the Boundless Void, but there weren’t many left near the Real World, as they had long since been stripped bare. While these Little Worlds couldn’t support life, they naturally generated various materials. The type of material depended on the Little World’s specific attributes.
And all the resources in these Little Worlds were renewable!
Their value was quite high, especially for Isaac. After all, he was already Tier Four and would be looking to build a Floating City next. This Little World would save him a great deal of time and money.
The final type of Little World is the Elemental Mini World, also known as an Elemental Plane. As the name suggests, its interior contains basically a single type of Magic Element. Besides the corresponding Elemental Spirits, there is no other life.
This is also the least valuable of the four types of Little Worlds!
Yes, even less valuable than a barren Little World. After all, a barren one could at least be refined into a portable warehouse with massive capacity, but an Elemental Mini World was truly useless.
