Chapter 472 - 350: Black Knight VS Void Demon Spirit

In an instant, innumerable silver threads shot from the silver orb that had materialized in Gandalf's hand, connecting with every life in the Little World. A vast power began to emerge, and drawn by it, a silvery-white radiance manifested on the Black Knight at his side.

Power he hadn't felt in ages coursed through his body. The Black Knight nodded to Gandalf, then raised his head to the sky. With a flash, his figure transformed into a streak of black and white divine light and shot toward the heavens!

As he ascended, he shattered the restraints Isaac and Philo had placed, one after another!

"Oh? Is that Law? Now this is something." Isaac's gaze pierced the World Wall, and a look of surprise crossed his face as he saw the silver radiance on the Black Knight.

Law, an extremely powerful force, was once one of the core powers Wizards used to resist Deities, and the predecessor to Authority Magic.

Though it has now been largely abandoned by the Wizards of the Real World, this by no means implied it was weak. On the contrary, at the same Level, Law is significantly more powerful than Authority Magic—even Authority Magic derived from the most supreme Authority!

Yet, this powerful Law was still replaced by Authority Magic because its Cultivation is incredibly difficult!

The first thing to understand is that the essence of Law is the materialization of the collective will of the masses. That is why it possesses the power to oppose Deities. In essence, Law is a man-made Concept God!

The advantages of Law are undeniable: fast activation, immense power, and a wide area of effect. But its disadvantages are even more pronounced. The first and foremost is the difficulty of its Cultivation. Since Law is the manifestation of the collective will, to learn this Magic, one must first gain the approval of the masses.

Moreover, the same group of people can only be used as "Magic Consumables" once!

Secondly, the Cultivation of Law must strictly follow a low-to-high sequence. That is, regardless of how many people's approval you have gained or how strong you currently are, you must first learn the Black Iron Law, then advance to the Bronze Law, followed by the Silver Law, and finally the strongest Golden Law.

All these restrictions meant it couldn't hold a candle to Authority Magic. This was especially true after Privilege Magic—a transitional Magic that bridged the old and new systems—was developed, rendering Law even more obsolete.

Today, aside from a few ancient Wizard Organizations that still possess the legacy of the Golden Law, modern Wizards almost never touch the subject, save for academic research.

Of course, it bore repeating: Law was abandoned by modern Wizards not because it was weak. Out of the three of them, Philo and Angel wouldn't stand a chance against it unless they went all out.

They had advanced to Tier Four too recently; their foundations were far from sufficient.

And this was a Silver Law cast by a mere Tier Three Mage!

'Still, this goes to show that the Casters of this world really are something else. Silver Law…'

'It would take some effort even for a modern Wizard to learn this, let alone the fact that they most likely had to research it from scratch.'

"Let me handle this. You two keep things stable." Isaac cracked his neck, a slight smile playing on his lips as he watched the Black Knight charge toward them.

"Are you interested in Law?" Philo asked curiously, glancing between the Black Knight and Isaac.

"Yes. Magic capable of resisting Deities has always intrigued me. Unfortunately, its requirements are far too steep, so I've never managed to learn it," Isaac admitted freely with a nod.

"Alright, he's all yours," Philo said with a nod. She took over Isaac's task, focusing all her energy on maintaining the blockade on the World Wall. This step was crucial. The vanguard had already gone in, but they were still collecting data on the World Wall and had not yet captured the outpost.

At this moment, the longer she could hold on, the easier things would be for the vanguard.

It would be best to hold out until the end; otherwise, if the enemy's Tier Four were to intervene, this battle to pioneer the New World would devolve into a protracted war of attrition, needlessly creating a host of new problems.

Watching the Black Knight fly toward them, Isaac's brow furrowed slightly. He didn't attack at once; he was thinking.

He was considering how to fight.

'The enemy is inside the Little World, separated by the World Wall. I can't get in, yet he can attack from within. How shameless.'

Isaac now had a small taste of what the Deities of old must have felt when facing Wizards: not necessarily strong, but completely untouchable.

A situation like this would surely pose no problem for the modern Wizarding World, but the catch was... Isaac didn't know the solution.

After all, he simply hadn't been around long enough.

Fortunately, while he hadn't learned many specific techniques, his foundation was exceptionally deep. It wasn't long before he thought of a few possible solutions.

With a slight tilt of his head, Isaac gently flicked his earring. A Witch in an ethereal purple robe abruptly materialized behind him—the Virtual Deity, the Void Witch!

The Void Witch's unique life signature drew repeated glances from both Angel and Philo.

Virtual Deities. Since the results of that one battle had spread, this technique of Isaac's was no longer a secret. But that knowledge was only skin-deep. No one understood the principles behind it; they couldn't even fathom the relevant concepts!

Of course they would never know. After all, this was a Wizard's Miracle.

Upon appearing, the Void Witch raised a slender, jade-like hand that shimmered like a purple nebula. She lightly tapped her index finger in the Void. The World Wall rippled, and then, one by one, Void Demon Spirits emerged from within the World Wall itself, swarming toward the Black Knight!
