Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 310 - 311: The Monstrous Andre
Chapter 310: Chapter 311: The Monstrous Andre
An experiment was conducted to verify the existence of a space without matter. The result was the creation of a space that possessed Magic Power.
Granted, Magic Power is not directly equivalent to matter.
But in the Star Realm, Magic Power is a crucial component of matter—an extremely important source.
When Magic Power differentiates and condenses, it forms various kinds of Elements.
When Elements condense further, they form Elemental Crystals.
And when Elemental Crystals condense even further, they form Elemental Creatures.
One could say that Magic Power is the origin of many special forms of life.
Therefore, the creation of this space signified a failure.
But is a space without boundaries truly a space?
A Truth Great Wizard who walked the path of space once personally attempted to verify this.
Using a Witchcraft of spatial reduction, he transformed a space into a two-dimensional one, then continued the reduction to form a one-dimensional space.
A one-dimensional space has no boundaries, as it is merely a line.
However, it also lost the properties of a normal space. A normal space has multiple directions, whereas a one-dimensional space is fixed—one can only advance along the two ends of the line.
If someone wished to pass through the middle of the line instead of following its ends, they would, unfortunately, hit a wall.
Thus, a one-dimensional space does still have boundaries; it can simply be stretched infinitely.
When the reduction method proved unworkable, this Truth Great Wizard tried a spatial elevation method instead, directly raising the space he occupied to six dimensions.
He turned his own surroundings into a multiverse space.
Within this multiverse space, the barriers of space were amplified without limit, yet boundaries ultimately remained, for "multiverse" implies repetition, not infinity.
To further test this problem, the Truth Great Wizard went so far as to elevate the space around him to seven dimensions.
This is because a seven-dimensional space is a collection of all positions, and is usually studied as a vector space.
Because of this, a seven-dimensional space lacks any concept of distance.
This made it the most suitable medium for verifying the problem.
In the end, however, the Truth Great Wizard was stopped by the will of the Wizard Civilization.
This was because if a space reached the seventh dimension, a single misstep could bring catastrophic disaster upon the Wizard Ancestral Land.
It could even generate a vortex of spatio-temporal annihilation, allowing things that should not exist in the Endless Star Realm to appear within it.
Should such a thing appear, even if the Wizard Civilization were to eliminate it, the civilization itself would lose some of its fundamental heritage.
Thus, research into this problem was forcibly halted.
Nevertheless, it remains the lifelong dream of many who walk the path of space.
"Sigh..." The Dean looked at Andre and sighed.
He was happy to see a genius appear in his academy.
But a genius like Andre—one so talented he felt he couldn’t quite handle him—was a bit of a headache.
He had no idea what kind of massive trouble a genius like Andre might accidentally stir up.
"Sigh, you should still focus on building a good foundation."
The Dean said to Andre with a helpless look.
"Dean, he’s still working on his foundation? If he keeps working on his foundation, what does that make us?"
The Captain immediately spoke up after hearing the Dean.
"What does that make us? It makes us us."
The Dean rolled his eyes at the Captain, who immediately fell silent.
"I do still need to work on some fundamentals. After all, I haven’t mastered the most basic methods of using the Power of Space and the Power of Time."
"Furthermore, while I have mastered the Power of Life, I don’t yet know how to convert it into the Power of the Soul."
"That’s another area that will be a focus of my upcoming research."
Andre looked at the Dean and nodded, his expression earnest as he spoke.
Andre’s words made the Dean shut his eyes, a pained expression crossing his face.
’Just listen to that,’ he thought. ’Are those even words a human should be able to say?’
’Andre hasn’t even become a Morning Star, nor has he specifically conducted detailed research into Life Witchcraft, yet he’s already mastered the Power of Life. Is that something a human is capable of?’
The reason for the Dean’s pained expression was entirely because of the Power of Life.
The Power of Life is a type of Power that Wizards must master after becoming Morning Stars.
This Power is directly related to a Wizard’s development after they become a Morning Star.
After becoming Morning Stars, Wizards must create a world of their own.
And a world, naturally, must have vitality, life force, and even life itself.
A world devoid of vitality and life force is, at best, a mere spatial fragment. Only a spatial fragment that possesses vitality and life force can be called a Secret Realm, or perhaps even a world.
After becoming Morning Stars, Wizards must not only continuously expand their own worlds, but also cultivate life native to them.
They use these acts of creation to verify the path they walk.
And to verify one’s path, one naturally needs test subjects, right?
What better test subjects could there be than the life forms nurtured within the world created by one’s own path?
While life from other worlds can also be used for experiments...
...the Power contained within these captured life forms is not a perfect match for the Wizard’s own.
Only life nurtured in a Wizard’s own world is a perfect match for their own Power.
Therefore, the Power of Life is extremely important in this process.
The more Power of Life a Wizard masters, the more life their world will contain, the more developed its civilizations will become, and the more test subjects will be available for their experiments.
It is through such experiments that countless distinct paths have emerged in the Endless Star Realm.
Thus, the Power of Life is a critically important type of Power for Wizards.
And now, Andre, who had yet to even become a Morning Star, had already mastered the Power of Life and possessed a profound understanding of time and space.
This...
The Captain and the Dean were truly at a loss for words.
They had thought they already had a good grasp of just how monstrously talented Andre was.
But they never imagined that what they knew was merely the tip of the iceberg.
Just when Andre revealed one shocking thing, he would, in the blink of an eye, reveal a second, a third, and then even more.
"What other Powers do you have? Just spit it all out."
The Captain looked at Andre, having given up all resistance.
"Not that many, I guess. Just light, dark, earth, Wind, water, fire, Thunder, ice, and some fused states of these Powers!"
Andre scratched his head and listed the other Powers he had mastered for the Captain.
