Chapter 302: Chapter 303: Pain

"I walk a path of my own research. I call it ’Origin’!"

Andre said to Farrete with resignation.

Klein had told him he couldn’t reveal the name of his path until he became a Morning Star.

So, he could only choose another name to hide the word "Chaos."

"Origin? What kind of name is that?"

Farrete frowned, pondering the word’s meaning.

"Let’s drop it. Go gather your people. Once their side is assembled, we’ll let the two factions decide whether to fight or negotiate."

Andre looked at Farrete, reminding him of the most important matter at hand.

"Hm? You want to bring the two sides together?"

After hearing Andre’s words, Farrete’s eyes went wide, and he stared at Andre in disbelief.

"Of course. The academy wants conquest, not extermination."

"If we were to exterminate every race in this world, what kind of reaction do you think the world’s consciousness would have?"

Andre said to Farrete, his expression weary and resigned.

"Fine!" Farrete glanced at the stack of orders in Andre’s hand, gave a resigned nod, and went to carry out the command.

「Half a month later」

On a vast plain named the Dawn Plain, the Racial Alliance Army and the academy sat on opposite sides of a divide.

Andre sat in the middle, his right hand ceaselessly massaging the bridge of his nose.

Both sides glared at each other, the desire to kill palpable in the air.

’It’s been two days, and they still haven’t reached a single conclusion!’

Andre truly had no idea what to do.

First, he’d been baffled when the World Consciousness of the Cosmic Sea World had made him the Child of the World.

Then, because of that title, the Dean of the Main Institute had given him the position of an honorary branch dean.

"Andre! Andre! Say something, will you!"

Sokra came up beside Andre, clapping him on the shoulder.

"What am I supposed to say?" Andre sighed.

Andre gave Sokra a look that screamed of helplessness.

"We can’t just let them keep arguing like this!"

Seeing that the two sides were on the verge of blows, Sokra scratched his head and looked at Andre.

"Do you think they’ll listen to me? I might be able to keep our side in check, but can I control them?"

Andre gestured first to the representatives of the Racial Alliance Army, then to those from the academy.

"But letting them keep arguing isn’t going to solve anything!"

Sokra took a deep breath and looked at Andre.

"Let them argue. It’s better than having them come to blows right here."

"If a fight broke out, the academy would certainly have the upper hand, but would the World Consciousness just stand by and do nothing?"

Andre looked at Sokra, making it clear he was at a loss.

"Barbaric creatures!"

Munger sneered at Sakro, who was seated at the very front of the alliance forces.

"Damned invaders!" Sakro shot back, his face a mirror of Munger’s contempt. The two clearly despised one another.

Meanwhile, Wulumu, who had been beaten into submission by Munger, stood behind him, looking too ashamed to meet anyone’s gaze.

There had originally been three Morning Star-level beings in the Cosmic Sea World. He was the only one to have been captured and forced into a Master-Servant Contract.

Wulumu was in deep anguish, but bound by the Master-Servant Contract, there was nothing he could do.

Just then, two figures clashed repeatedly in the air before landing on opposite sides of the field.

One was Qiu Jila, a Morning Star Great Wizard from the academy. The other was Gedra, the last of the world’s original three Morning Stars.

After landing, Gedra leaned back, and someone immediately brought a chair for him to sit on.

"Alright. Why exactly did you summon both our factions here?"

The moment he sat down, Gedra looked at Andre, his opening words a direct challenge.

"If this fighting continues, both sides will only end up grievously wounded."

Andre looked at Gedra and spoke slowly, carefully choosing his words.

"So what if we’re both wounded? The World Consciousness protects us. What can you possibly do?"

Gedra looked at Andre, his expression exceedingly arrogant.

"Watch your mouth. *He’s* the Child of the World now. The World Consciousness will shelter him, not you."

"In the eyes of the World Consciousness, you’re not nearly as important as he is."

As soon as Gedra spoke, Sokra, who stood beside Andre, shot back with a mocking retort.

"Enough. I didn’t call you here to argue. Now, I want everyone to be silent."

Andre said, looking at Gedra.

As Andre spoke, his voice grew progressively louder.

By the end, Andre’s voice was echoing throughout the entire world.

"Now, can we talk properly?"

Andre ran a hand through his hair in frustration as he looked at Gedra.

Gedra’s arrogant demeanor vanished, replaced by a look of reverence as he stared at Andre.

That shout just now—it would have been impossible for Andre’s voice to echo across the entire world without the aid of the World Consciousness.

"Both sides, state your demands. If you can reach an agreement, we talk. If not, you fight."

Andre said with a resigned look at both sides, then took a deep breath.

"Oh, and I forgot to mention, in my eyes—and in the eyes of the World Consciousness—neither of you is particularly important."

"It’s true that if the Racial Alliance Army is wiped out, the academy will face retaliation from the World Consciousness."

"But that’s only if I don’t intervene. If I were to block off the World Origin Space for a thousand years, you could wait and see if the World Consciousness would actually punish the academy."

"And many people at the academy should know this: my Grandmaster, Klein, recently became the academy’s second Red Sun Great Wizard." ℴ

"Therefore, even if I completely botch this, the academy won’t do a thing to punish me."

"I’m only here today because I was pushed into this role. That’s why you *will* give me a resolution today."

"Otherwise, I’m washing my hands of this affair. Fight however you please. But you will bear the consequences yourselves. Whether it’s the wrath of the World Consciousness or the academy’s counterattack, I won’t be shielding either of you."

Andre looked at the belligerents on both sides—necks stiff, weapons and Magic Staffs raised, ready to brawl at a moment’s notice. Finally, he played his trump card—the intimidating speech he had prepared.

"Fine. You want our demands? Here’s our demand: leave our world."

Gedra looked at Andre, an inscrutable light glinting in his eyes.

"Leave your world? What a joke," Munger immediately retorted. "This world hasn’t even produced a Master of Worlds. What makes you think it belongs to you?"

Flames of fury blazed in Munger’s eyes.

He desperately wished he could just unleash a barrage of Morning Star Witchcraft and slaughter every last member of the Racial Alliance Army.

"This has always been our world!" Sakro was so furious he almost laughed. "You’re the outsiders who invaded it, and you have the nerve to ask what it has to do with us?"
