Chapter 299: Chapter 300: Mediation

The squad members Andre had sent out to find other contingents of the Racial Alliance Army were helpless in the face of such disbelief.

Andre hadn’t given them anything when he sent them out.

They carried no items that could prove Andre’s identity as the Child of the World.

As a result, some of the more radical contingents of the Racial Alliance Army captured and tortured these squad members.

But just as the torture was about to begin, the Power of the World suddenly manifested to protect them.

This was what finally convinced some members of the Racial Alliance Army that a new Child of the World had been born.

However, the squad members had no idea how to find this new Child of the World.

When Andre sent them out, he had only told them to find other contingents of the Racial Alliance Army and announce his arrival.

He hadn’t given them any instructions on how to find him.

This led to a stalemate.

「Two days later.」Andre watched as a contingent of the Racial Alliance Army and a squadron of Interstellar Battleships were locked in a heated battle. He sighed helplessly and flew toward them.

He summoned the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel and unleashed a Witchcraft Torrent, forcibly halting the battle and freezing both sides in place.

"Andre?" Farrete was sitting in his Star Realm Battleship. A flicker of doubt crossed his eyes as he watched Andre suddenly appear and stop the battle. He then piloted his ship toward him.

At the same time, someone from the Racial Alliance Army also flew over.

They wanted to see who this arrogant person was that had suddenly appeared and halted their fight.

"Andre, what are you doing here? Weren’t you missing?"

The Star Realm Battleship was naturally much faster than the flying members of the Racial Alliance Army.

Thus, Farrete reached Andre first.

"Senior Brother!" Andre said, a flicker of doubt in his eyes as he looked at the Interstellar Battleship that had stopped nearby.

Then, Farrete flew out of the Star Realm Battleship, his face etched with deep confusion as he looked at Andre.

As he drew closer, he realized that Andre had already become a Level 3 Wizard.

"How long has it been since you left the academy?"

Farrete stared at Andre in shock.

Andre looked at Farrete and tilted his head, considering the question.

"I guess it’s been twenty, maybe thirty years?"

Andre nodded, confirming his answer.

"Twenty or thirty years!"

Farrete stared at Andre, his mouth agape, at a loss for words.

It had taken Farrete a full 1,200 years to advance from a Level 1 Wizard to a Level 3 Wizard, yet Andre had accomplished the same feat in a mere twenty or thirty years.

That rate of progress was simply terrifying.

"Who’s in command of this fleet now?"

Andre asked, gesturing toward the formation of Star Realm Battleships behind Farrete.

"I am. Why do you ask?"

Farrete looked at Andre, a flicker of confusion in his eyes.

"Right, I still haven’t asked. Why did you suddenly stop the battle between us?"

Farrete remembered his question for Andre and immediately became wary.

In Farrete’s mind, for Andre to suddenly jump from a Level 1 Wizard to a Level 3 Wizard in such a short time, he must have had a huge stroke of luck or received help from someone.

And now, Andre had suddenly intervened, stopping the war between their two sides.

’It seems very likely that Andre received help from this world.’

"Now, in my name, this war is over."

Andre looked at Farrete, his expression turning serious.

"In your name?"

Hearing Andre’s words, Farrete was at a loss.

He didn’t know whether to call Andre audacious or to tell him that this wasn’t some children’s game.

"I am issuing this order in my capacity as the Honorary Vice Dean of the Cosmic Sea World Branch."

Seeing Farrete’s disbelieving expression, Andre had no choice but to bring up the position he had so reluctantly accepted.

"Honorary Vice Dean of the Cosmic Sea World Branch? You! By what right?"

Farrete’s eyes went wide as he stared at Andre.

Farrete could only think that Andre must have caught some disease that addled his brain.

"By this right!"

Andre tapped the spot between his eyebrows, and the Crown materialized.

"That’s the mark of the Child of the World! You’ve become this world’s Child of the World?"

Farrete stared at Andre, momentarily speechless.

"Don’t tell me you’ve sided with them?"

Farrete demanded, pointing at the several leaders of the Racial Alliance Army who were flying toward them.

"Of course not. This world forced the position of Child of the World on me."

Andre looked at Farrete with exasperation.

"The world’s consciousness forced the position of Child of the World on you?"

"Why does something that good never happen to me?"

"There’s a limit to lying, you know!"

Farrete looked at Andre with an expression of profound disappointment.

’In his eyes, Andre’s brain really must have been fried by some disease. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be spouting such nonsense.’

"The Dean himself witnessed it."

Andre’s brows knitted together as he watched Farrete’s expression.

Finally, Andre said to Farrete with a sigh of resignation.

"Witnessed by the Dean?"

Hearing this only made Farrete trust Andre even less.

"When I broke through to become a Level 3 Wizard, the Dean was right beside me. He saw it with his own eyes."

Andre was rendered speechless by Farrete’s look of profound disappointment.

"If you still don’t believe me, you can have your men relay my words back to the War Mother Ship for the Dean’s confirmation."

Andre shook his head at Farrete.

Just then, the few leaders finally reached them and charged at Andre and Farrete.

As they closed in, they roared at the two Wizards, brandishing their weapons with the intent to cut them down.

But Andre didn’t even turn his head. He simply raised his right hand and waved it behind him.

A powerful force crushed the leaders, sending them crashing down and kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Th-that... how did you do that?"

Farrete’s eyes widened as he watched Andre’s casual display of power.

At that moment, Farrete was beginning to believe that Andre was the Child of the World.

A moment ago, when Andre had revealed the Crown, Farrete had genuinely thought he was sick and had lost his mind.

But Andre’s last move... it had generated no Power fluctuations whatsoever.

To crush several leaders, each equivalent to a Level 3 Wizard, without any discernible ripple of Power...

That was a feat only the Child of the World could accomplish.

In fact, perhaps only a Master of Worlds could do such a thing.
