Chapter 297: Chapter 298: The Child of the World’s Suppression
Therefore, he needed another source of power to eliminate these complications.
Although his grand-mentor was now the Red Sun Great Wizard and could eliminate any overt threats, even he would have a hard time getting rid of the more subtle temptations.
’So you’re an honorary vice dean? Fine, I’ll have my daughter marry you and rope you in through a blood connection.’
How could Klein possibly refuse such an offer on his behalf?
Klein might even show up personally to play matchmaker for him.
Under these circumstances, if even one such person appeared, more would soon follow, all trying to establish a connection with him in the same way.
Don’t think for a moment this is some far-fetched scenario; it’s quite common among the Wizard Clans.
Their families were all intertwined, but when interests were at stake, they would still argue to a standstill. It wasn’t even impossible for them to come to blows.
Faced with a host of beautiful women throwing themselves at him, Andre wasn’t sure he could resist.
After all, it was human nature—a man’s nature—to pass on one’s genes from generation to generation by producing offspring.
And this was only a minuscule part of the temptations the Wizard Clans could offer. If he were willing, even more elaborate schemes awaited him.
And if he blindly refused every offer, he would inevitably be targeted by underhanded tactics.
Therefore, to resist these sugar-coated bullets and avoid trouble, he had to have his own followers.
But now, with the academy on an expedition, where was he supposed to find and train his own people?
Besides, he didn’t have the time for that. His only choice was to turn his attention to the races of the Cosmic Sea World.
He was now the Child of the World for the Cosmic Sea World, making him the most powerful being in the entire world.
Whatever he said was law. No matter how absurd or preposterous his commands were, as long as the world’s consciousness approved them, the native races would carry them out faithfully.
In that case, Andre would be a fool—a complete idiot—not to take advantage of such a readily available force.
"Do you all recognize me now?"
Andre asked, looking at the Racial Alliance Army before him.
After he spoke, all the members of the Racial Alliance Army looked at Andre and nodded again and again.
"Then you know what to do, right?"
Andre continued, looking at the Racial Alliance Army.
Everyone nodded again.
"All right, on your feet. A portion of you will go to the other units of the Racial Alliance Army and announce my arrival."
Andre began issuing commands. Then, with a wave of his hand, the Power of the World binding some of the faster members of the Racial Alliance Army instantly vanished.
Then, those beings shot into the sky and began to spread the news of Andre’s arrival.
A genuine Child of the World had been born from among the invaders. Clearly, the world’s consciousness had grown disappointed in them, which was why it had chosen an outsider like Andre.
Under these circumstances, if the various races wanted to continue living in the Cosmic Sea World, obeying Andre was their best choice.
"The rest of you, get up, form a line, and lead me to the other members of the Racial Alliance Army."
Andre waved his hand again, and the rest of the Racial Alliance Army members got to their feet, all looking at him.
Their eyes were all filled with reverence.
For a Child of the World to personally recruit them... what a tremendous honor!
Previously, when the Cosmic Sea World had advanced from a Level 4 to a Level 5 World, several Children of the World had also been born.
In their time, those Children of the World could get whatever they wished for; they were all-powerful.
All the best things in the world were delivered into their hands by the world’s consciousness, and by extension, their followers also reaped many rewards.
Although those Children of the World had ultimately died in that battle...
...it didn’t mean these beings had forgotten the Power a Child of the World possessed, or the support they received from the world’s consciousness.
’All sorts of good things are delivered right into the hands of the Child of the World.’
This time, there was another invasion from an outside force, and a new Child of the World had been born.
Although this Child of the World was an external enemy, the fact that the world’s consciousness had acknowledged him meant he was on their side.
In that case, it wouldn’t be long before piles of good things would be distributed from this Child of the World’s hands.
If they didn’t throw in their lot with this Child of the World now, when would be a better time?
If they were too late to join him, how could they ever get their hands on those treasures?
He might be one of the external enemies, but since the world’s consciousness had acknowledged him, he was practically one of them now.
Thus, the members of the Racial Alliance Army felt no resistance whatsoever to serving under Andre.
All they felt was a craving to perform meritorious deeds and a greedy desire for treasure.
"Are you a Wizard?"
Just then, Lina and Sally, having recharged their War Witchcraft Artifacts, flew back in their Star Realm Battleship.
While they were still some distance away from Andre, Sally called out to him through the Witchcraft Array.
Andre nodded. After Sally saw his nod on the projection, the two women flew out of the Star Realm Battleship.
"How did you subdue these creatures?"
Sally asked Andre directly as soon as she landed.
She was far too curious about the Witchcraft Andre had mastered.
"Wait, look between his eyebrows."
Just then, Lina pulled Sally back.
"You’re a Child of the World? How is that possible?"
Sally’s eyes went wide as she stared at the Crown between Andre’s eyebrows, looking at him in utter disbelief.
"Nothing’s impossible. It’s just a matter of probability."
"But what about you two? Why weren’t you with the main force? Why were you being chased by them?"
Andre waved his hand dismissively, then pointed at the Racial Alliance Army.
"The two of us detected a high-energy reading not far from here."
"After discussing it, we figured there might be a large number of Magic Plants growing there, so we wanted to go and harvest them."
"But we didn’t expect to run into them before we’d even flown halfway there."
Lina looked at Andre and explained why the two of them were being chased by the Racial Alliance Army.
"Magic Plants?" Andre blinked upon hearing Lina’s words, and a map instantly appeared before him.
Andre then looked at the map, focusing on the location the two women had been trying to reach.
A moment later, the place he was focused on came into his view.
