Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 296 - 297: A Change of Identity
Chapter 296: Chapter 297: A Change of Identity
"Looks like they’re running for their lives, too!"
The signal on the projection grew increasingly distant, and Sally sighed.
But just then, a black dot appeared on the projection, moving at an incredible speed.
"What is that?" Lina’s expression grew tense as she watched the black dot rapidly approach.
The shadow’s speed was simply too fast. Although the projection was tracking it, its trail appeared intermittently. It looked like whoever it was was using Space Witchcraft to head this way.
"Space Witchcraft... It must be a Morning Star! They’ve found us and are coming to help!"
Sally’s expression turned to one of excitement.
The three Morning Stars in the Cosmic Sea World were all occupied by others. If the intelligence was correct, this figure could only be a Morning Star from the academy.
Soon, the figure arrived in front of the two Star Realm Battleships. The projection then revealed their true appearance.
"Is that...?" Sally’s brow furrowed as she looked at Andre, who was standing in the empty space before them.
A lone person, not even in a Star Realm Battleship, had just flown straight to them.
’Isn’t he just asking to be killed?’
Sally couldn’t understand Andre’s actions at all. From her perspective, it was as if he had a death wish. ’He must think he’s lived too long!’
Andre, however, was oblivious to Sally’s thoughts.
He glanced at the Racial Alliance Army pursuing the two Star Realm Battleships, then started walking toward them.
"What is he trying to do?"
"Has he sided with them?"
Lina watched Andre’s movements, completely baffled by his intentions.
Meanwhile, some members of the Racial Alliance Army watched Andre approach, thoroughly confused.
They couldn’t understand why Andre was coming here just to die.
Then, Andre looked at the Racial Alliance Army and spoke.
"I’ll give you two choices. One: kneel. Two: die!"
Andre said, his gaze sweeping over the entire Racial Alliance Army.
When Andre’s words reached the ears of the Racial Alliance Army, they immediately burst out laughing.
"Who does he think he is?"
"A Morning Star? Or maybe some existence even more powerful than a Morning Star!"
Mocking voices aimed at Andre echoed throughout the ranks of the Racial Alliance Army.
Just then, Andre raised a finger and tapped the spot between his eyebrows. A Crown instantly materialized, and a potent wave of the Power of the World began to emanate from where he stood, spreading outward.
As the ripple of the Power of the World spread, the expressions on some of the faces in the Racial Alliance Army began to change.
"What is that?" A sharp-eyed member of the Snake Demon Race spotted the Crown between Andre’s brows.
The moment he saw the Crown, his instincts screamed that something terrifying was about to happen.
Heeding his instincts, the Snake Demon looked at Andre and hastily dropped to his knees.
When this Snake Demon knelt, those around him immediately started to mock him.
"She’Er, you’re a disgrace to the Snake Demon Race!"
"You do whatever he says? If you’re that much of a coward, why didn’t you just stay behind in your Snake Demon city?"
"Yeah! Why would a guy like you even bother joining the Racial Alliance Army?"
She’Er’s companions relentlessly mocked him.
A sudden thunderclap tore through the clear sky. In the next instant, everyone—except for the kneeling She’Er—was slammed to the ground by a tremendous force, unable to move a muscle.
"What did he do?"
Lina and Sally had also halted their battleships. They watched on the projection as the Racial Alliance Army that had been relentlessly nipping at their heels was suddenly slammed to the ground.
Both of their jaws dropped.
They couldn’t comprehend what was happening before their eyes.
’That guy looks so young... He didn’t even cast any Witchcraft, so how did he crush the entire Racial Alliance Army to the ground?’
Lina stared at Andre on the projection in utter confusion.
Andre looked unremarkable. Aside from his youth and a somewhat delicate air about him, there was nothing special to see.
Andre looked at the kneeling She’Er and beckoned.
She’Er scrambled to his feet and hurried over to Andre.
When he got a clear look at the Crown, She’Er immediately prostrated himself on the ground.
’This is shocking!’ he thought. ’The significance of this Crown... it’s impossible for it to appear on an outsider like Andre!’
"Good that you recognize it. You’re the smart one here."
Andre led She’Er as he descended to the ground.
The entire Racial Alliance Army was now pinned down by the Power of the World, completely immobilized.
They stared at Andre in utter confusion, unable to understand how he had done this. He had clearly done nothing but speak a single sentence.
Yet they had been crushed from the sky to the earth. What kind of Power was this?
"You bunch of idiots!"
She’Er cautiously approached a few of his fellow Snake Demon Race members. He raised his hand and slapped them hard across the face a few times before forcing them to look at the spot between Andre’s eyebrows.
When they got a clear look at the Crown between his brows, the Snake Demons next to She’Er finally understood.
Why had She’Er knelt after a single sentence?
A Child of the World was personally here. Not kneeling was a sign of disrespect to the world’s consciousness itself.
And disrespecting the world’s consciousness... did they even need to spell out the consequences?
Led by She’Er, these few now scrambled before Andre, begging him for mercy.
Andre, however, just waved his hand dismissively. He then sat back, and a chair materialized out of thin air beneath him.
’This kind of Power... Could he be the Child of the World?’
’But he’s clearly an enemy from the outside world! How is this possible?’
Others had also noticed the Crown between Andre’s eyebrows by now.
When they saw the Crown, they couldn’t believe their eyes.
Only when Andre sat down on the chair that had appeared from nothing did they finally accept reality.
An enemy from the outside world had actually become the Child of their World. It was an utterly bizarre turn of events.
Andre looked at the Racial Alliance Army and couldn’t help but sigh.
He hadn’t wiped out the entire Racial Alliance Army before him because of his current status.
In a short while, the Cosmic Sea World would be conquered by the academy.
And that was when he would become an honorary vice-dean.
Becoming a vice-dean, however, would be a hassle. To avoid certain troubles, he needed loyal followers. Yet his foundation within the academy was... well, you couldn’t say it was nonexistent, but it was pretty close.
