Will the Aloof Billionaire Divorce Today?
Chapter 1511: He’s Acting a Bit Strange Today
Scarlett Yates was startled, “Grandpa, how can you say that? He… after all, he’s your son-in-law.”
“What did I say? I’m just telling the truth. Do you think I wish he were dead? You’re a nurse, you’ve surely seen a vegetative state. Do you think it’s better to be like that for a lifetime, or is it better to die early for relief?”
Scarlett felt a bit distressed inside.
If someone like Roy Saxon were to be in a vegetative state for life, he himself might wish for death to be freed from it.
“It won’t be like that forever, as long as there’s an antidote…”
“Antidote? Do you think that little bastard will give it? If you think about it, he brought that kind of woman to the Saxon Family of his own accord. I had told him back then that he shouldn’t marry a woman with the surname Ding, but he didn’t listen. He thought I was stopping him from remarrying because of Naomi. If it weren’t for Matthew, even if he married a beggar, I wouldn’t care.”
Little bastard? He’s talking about Maxwell Saxon, right?
From certain perspectives, Maxwell Saxon’s actions were quite bastardly.
Once the rant started, it was like a faucet that couldn’t be turned off. Ian Douglas ended up criticizing Roy Saxon non-stop for an entire hour.
“Originally, that scoundrel looked presentable, and I thought he was reliable. That’s why I gave my sweet daughter to him.”
“If it weren’t for Naomi’s insistence to marry him, at that time, he wouldn’t have been chosen by someone from the Saxon Family.”
“One wrong step leads to every wrong step…”
Ian Douglas became more and more outraged. If Roy Saxon weren’t lying in a coma somewhere, Ian might have hit him on the spot.
Finally, if not for Uncle Spencer urging him, he probably could have cursed at Roy Saxon for another hour.
Breakfast concluded amidst Ian Douglas’s curses.
After eating, Scarlett Yates noticed Matthew Saxon hadn’t come down yet, and her heart suddenly skipped a beat, feeling a bit uneasy.
It was almost ten in the morning, and Matthew Saxon was still asleep.
She remembered he had slept the afternoon before and went to bed quite early last night. Even if he wanted to sleep in, he should’ve been awake by now, right?
Thinking about it like this, she felt even more uneasy, thinking he was acting a bit abnormal today.
She called Olly over, “Go upstairs and call the Young Master down for breakfast.”
Olly nodded and smiled, saying, “Why is the Young Master so lazy today? The Young Madam is already up, and he’s still sleeping in.”
As she spoke, she gave Scarlett a meaningful look, thinking: The Young Madam is indeed formidable; she just got back and already made the Young Master unable to get out of bed. Clearly, last night was quite wild. The Young Master must be madly in love with her, spending a wild night together…
Scarlett felt uneasy under Olly’s gaze, coughed, and glared at her, “Hurry up and go.”
—
Early in the morning, Olly was bursting with energy, like a monkey, quickly darted up the stairs.
She knocked on the door from outside, “Young Master, Young Master, the Young Madam asked me to call you down for breakfast.”
After knocking a few times, the room remained silent, without any movement at all.
Olly knocked harder twice, “Young Master, are you awake?”
Still silent.
Oh, the Young Master is truly sound asleep, looks like he was really worn out last night. It’s best to let him sleep a bit more; after excessive indulgence, it’s quite harmful and requires proper rest.
After quickly going upstairs, Olly then quickly darted downstairs.
“Is he awake?” Scarlett Yates had been waiting, and upon seeing Olly come down, asked immediately.
