Chapter 780: Chapter 779: Threat (Part 3)

Bella Acker clearly recounted the events that had just occurred to the police officer.

"By the way, officer, they also threatened that next time might not be as easy as this time." Bella said as she took out her phone, "I took pictures of them and also got their license plate."

The officer took a look and nodded, "We will investigate this matter thoroughly, please come with us to the station to make a statement."

"Okay." Bella nodded.

"Officer, could you take us to the hospital first to get these wounds looked at?"

"No worries, the doctor in our infirmary can bandage you up." The officer checked the surroundings and asked, "Which direction did those guys run off to?"

"That way!" Judy Zimmerman pointed behind.

"Alright, we’ll send someone to pursue them. Once you reach the station, make sure to give a detailed statement and try to think if you’ve had any conflicts with anyone lately, or if there’s any commercial dispute, that would help narrow down our suspect list."

"Okay, we’ll cooperate fully." Bella nodded.

The veteran officer recording the statement smiled and said, "Miss, your composure is quite impressive. If it were other girls in this situation, they’d definitely be in tears by now."

"I’m scared too," Bella smiled, "but fear doesn’t solve problems and only emboldens the criminals."

"Exactly, when faced with problems, you need to stay calm. The more scared you are, the more chaotic it gets, and that’s when things go wrong." The veteran officer nodded, "Alright, come with us to the station to make a statement."

Bella nodded, guiding Judy and the driver to the police car and leaving together.

Judy was quite shaken and was still dazed after getting in the car.

Bella patted her still trembling hand and took out her phone to make a call.

"Ms. Young, it’s me. We had an incident on the way out of the airport, already called a tow truck, now heading to the station to make a statement. Could you send a car to pick us up later?"

"Going to the station to make a statement? It wasn’t a car accident, was it?" Cynthia Young’s voice came over the phone.

"Not a car accident, some people smashed the car. I’ll tell you more when I get back," Bella said. "Judy got injured, I’ll take her to get bandaged shortly."

"Alright, I’ll drive over to pick you up later. Are you alright?" Cynthia asked.

"I’m fine. By the way, Ms. Young, this incident happened right on the main road, though Judy and I didn’t get out, someone must have taken photos and posted them online. If someone recognizes the studio’s car, we might need to deal with that."

"I’ll handle it, don’t worry."

"Okay, see you later."

Seeing Bella hang up the phone, Judy apologized, "Bella, I’m sorry, it should have been my responsibility to handle all this."

"We’ve been working together for so many years, there’s no mine or yours," Bella softly said, "Once we wrap up here, just go home and rest, no need to go to the studio."

"How can I do that, I..."

"If I say it’s fine, then it’s fine, I’ll talk to Ms. Young," Bella responded, "You’ve been running around too much these two weeks, take a couple of days off to rest at home."

"Thank you, Bella." Judy was grateful for having chosen to take care of the still-newcomer Bella.

Many assistants tend to be just gofers around the entertainers, but only with Bella, Judy was treated like a friend.

Judy was deeply grateful.
