Chapter 443: How to Deal with Him
After some thought, Zheng Qiuhang said, “Please don’t punish the others. They didn’t come here with any ill intent, and we usually get along well! This is all Zhou Jieyang’s fault. I want to kill him!”
She looked down, silent for a moment, before adding, “I hate Zhou Jieyang’s guts. He almost ruined everything for me!”
“Why didn’t you tell everyone about what happened?” Wang Chenning asked Zheng Qiuhang. “Were you afraid of losing face, or of being misunderstood?”
“I didn’t want to be what all my classmates were talking about!” Zheng Qiuhang said, looking at Wang Chenning with a pitiful expression. “I thought Zhou Jieyang was going to spread it around, but when I found out he hadn’t, I decided to just let it go! I was wrong. If anything like this ever happens again, I’ll be the first to speak up!”
“Get dressed. Let’s deal with the situation at hand first.” Wang Chenning pinched Zheng Qiuhang’s cheek, then gently caressed her. “And I’ll be expecting your report in a bit. You go get changed. I’ll call Li Mingchao and have him come over to talk things through.”
“Okay!” Zheng Qiuhang didn’t press him further. She grabbed a fresh set of clothes and went into the bathroom to wash up before changing.
Wang Chenning called Li Mingchao, inviting him to Li Garden Hall for tea.
“I’ve been waiting for your call all day, Brother Ning!” Li Mingchao’s voice was cheerful when he answered. “I was pretty bummed out when you didn’t call around noon. I was starting to think I wasn’t very important to you!”
Wang Chenning snapped, “Cut the crap. Be here in half an hour!”
Li Mingchao chuckled. “I’ll do my best to be there in thirty. If I’m late, I’ll pay you a million for every minute. How about that?”
Wang Chenning didn’t respond and just hung up.
Zheng Qiuhang was quick; in less than ten minutes, she was all cleaned up and presentable, standing before Wang Chenning.
Compared to before, Zheng Qiuhang looked far more radiant now. The vibrant glow and shy blush on her face were enough to make even Wang Chenning pause for a moment.
Zheng Qiuhang had changed into the type of hanfu Wang Chenning loved to see her in most: a close-fitting, narrow-sleeved style that gave off a heroic air.
“I really do love seeing you in clothes like this,” Wang Chenning said with a smile, motioning for Zheng Qiuhang to follow him out. “I’ll transfer you some money later. Buy yourself some more outfits. Get some new things for both inside and out. And pick up some sexy lingerie, too.”
Zheng Qiuhang was about to refuse, insisting she had her own money for clothes, but after hearing the last part of his suggestion, she immediately agreed.
A bashful look crossed her face as she agreed.
‘The unforgettable intensity of what they’d just shared still left her trembling.’ She’d never imagined that being cherished by Wang Chenning could feel this good.
‘She was so happy she felt like she could fly!’
‘She felt like she was addicted, completely and utterly hooked!’
‘Her greatest worry had passed just like that. Wang Chenning didn’t blame her. In fact, he had just made her his.’
She felt incredibly happy, her steps as light as air.
‘It was strange, though. Why didn’t she feel any discomfort?’
‘She’d heard so many people say a girl’s first time was an ordeal, that some couldn’t even walk afterward.’
‘It seemed Wang Chenning had been very considerate, even using acupuncture to help her recover her strength.’
‘She knew it was his acupuncture that had allowed her to recover her vitality so quickly, making her feel completely refreshed and full of energy!’
Her gratitude for Wang Chenning grew even deeper.
They passed several staff members along the way, who hurried forward to greet Wang Chenning and Zheng Qiuhang respectfully upon seeing them.
The manager on duty came over to pay his respects as well.
Wang Chenning briefly explained that one of Zheng Qiuhang’s classmates had coveted her beauty, tried to get her drunk and take advantage of her, but luckily, he had arrived just in time.
The manager was visibly startled but didn’t dare ask any questions. He simply instructed the other employees that no one was to go near that private room without express permission from Wang Chenning or Zheng Qiuhang.
When Wang Chenning led Zheng Qiuhang back to the private room, the people he had knocked out were still unconscious.
Only after Wang Chenning stimulated a few of their pressure points did they begin to groggily awaken.
Once they were awake, Wang Chenning gave Zheng Qiuhang some medicine that would help them recover their energy, telling her to distribute it to her classmates.
Zhou Jieyang, of course, was not afforded such medicine. Wang Chenning woke him with much more violent means.
After coming to their senses, Zheng Qiuhang’s classmates were all terrified, cowering to one side and not daring to say a word.
Wang Chenning then forced Zhou Jieyang, whose face he had already beaten out of shape, to explain everything that had happened.
Zhou Jieyang didn’t dare to resist and obediently recounted the entire sequence of events.
When they heard Zhou Jieyang confess that he had planned to offer Zheng Qiuhang to his superior to curry favor, they were all stunned. Then, one by one, they erupted in curses, calling him despicable and shameless. They all declared they were ashamed to be associated with him and would act as if they never knew a classmate by that name.
One of the female students was particularly sharp-witted. She declared she would post the whole bizarre experience online to expose Zhou Jieyang for the monster he was.
Zheng Qiuhang cast a grateful glance at Wang Chenning before turning to the others and saying calmly, “You all really need to thank our boss. If he hadn’t intervened when he did, just imagine how things would have ended! We all drank the wine Zhou Jieyang drugged. The things we might have done while we weren’t in control… we would have regretted them for the rest of our lives!”
Zheng Qiuhang’s words jolted her classmates back to a harsh reality.
The students once again erupted in curses, calling Zhou Jieyang scum, worse than an animal.
A few of the students, in particular, shuddered with fear at the thought of what might have been.
If Wang Chenning hadn’t stopped him, Zhou Jieyang would have ruined their entire lives.
“You all should go now,” Zheng Qiuhang said, proving herself quite clever. Once the situation was clear, she dismissed her classmates, leaving only Zhou Jieyang behind.
‘There was no way she was letting Zhou Jieyang off easy today.’ She just didn’t know how Wang Chenning planned to deal with him.
To her surprise, however, Wang Chenning turned the decision over to her. “Tell me what you think. Should we kill him, or should we castrate him?”
