Chapter 442: Going with the Flow

Zheng Qiuhang froze, her mind short-circuiting, but her legs instinctively took another step forward.

She tripped over her own feet and fell with a THUD right in front of Wang Chenning.

Fortunately, Wang Chenning was quick and managed to catch her.

Zheng Qiuhang had no control over her body at all and simply went limp in Wang Chenning’s arms.

“I feel terrible!” Zheng Qiuhang instinctively hugged Wang Chenning, then immediately let go. She looked at him pitifully. “I didn’t… do anything to wrong you. I haven’t lost anything!”

“How do you want me to help you?” Wang Chenning took two steps back, a teasing look on his face as he watched the pitiful Zheng Qiuhang. “Like your classmates? Just knock you out and let you wake up after the drug wears off? Or should I help you resolve the effects of the drug directly?”

“I’ll accept whatever you do to me!” Zheng Qiuhang looked at Wang Chenning, completely helpless. “If you can’t forgive me, I’ll leave right now and never see you again. Please, will you help me? This is unbearable!”

Seeing Wang Chenning’s expression soften a little, Zheng Qiuhang gathered her courage and threw herself into his arms.

Just as she was staring blankly at Wang Chenning and crying in despair, a pair of strong hands wrapped around her.

Before she could even react, a warm kiss was pressed to her lips.

Her sobs caught in her throat, her eyes flying wide.

A long-awaited kiss landed on her lips, but she, who had yearned for this countless times, had no idea how to react.

It wasn’t until Wang Chenning’s movements grew more forceful that she came to her senses.

Tears rolled down her face again, but this time, they were completely different from before.

But she remained cautious, as if afraid of hurting him.

After kissing her gently for a while, Wang Chenning made no further moves. He simply looked at her with a smile. “Which kind of acupuncture should I use to cure the poison?”

Zheng Qiuhang froze for a moment, not understanding what Wang Chenning meant.

Looking at the messy sheets, then at Wang Chenning watching her quietly with a smile, Zheng Qiuhang couldn’t hold back any longer, and tears started to flow again.

She threw herself into Wang Chenning’s arms, hugging him tightly, unwilling to let go.

“Go deal with your classmates,” Wang Chenning said, patting Zheng Qiuhang’s smooth back. “They’re probably about to wake up.”
