Chapter 441: Just Here to Disgust You

  • Next Chapter

With a loud SMACK, Zhou Jieyang was sent flying.

“Your mouth is as foul as ever!” After slapping Zhou Jieyang a good distance away, Wang Chenning stepped forward, planted his foot on the other man’s face, and applied some pressure. “A dog can’t be taught not to eat shit—they must have been talking about you. Still, I’ve got to hand it to you. After getting beaten so many times, you still dared to show your face here.”

“Let me go!” Zhou Jieyang tried to talk tough, mumbling curses at Wang Chenning and Zheng Qiuhang for colluding, calling them a pair of shameless cheats. He’d only managed to get a few words out before Wang Chenning pressed down harder with his foot, and he could no longer speak.

The others were startled, but a few of the men, their inhibitions lowered by the drug, still recklessly walked over, intending to help Zhou Jieyang teach Wang Chenning a lesson.

Wang Chenning didn’t hold back, knocking them all to the ground with a single slap each.

“Who are these people to you?” Wang Chenning asked, his expression cold as he looked at the terrified, pale-faced Zheng Qiuhang.

“My… classmates!” Zheng Qiuhang stammered. “They said they were having a get-together here today, and I couldn’t very well… refuse!”

‘I’m panicking. The awful feeling in my body is getting stronger and stronger.’ She was on the verge of collapse.

The men Wang Chenning had knocked down scrambled to their feet, furious and embarrassed, preparing to gang up on him.

Zheng Qiuhang quickly moved to stop them. “Wang Qiutao, Wu Jinhuan, you can’t beat him! Back down, or you’ll just get beaten up again!”

Wang Chenning hauled Zhou Jieyang up from the floor and slapped him hard again. “Spit it out! Why did you come here today?”

The slap was so loud it made the other men jump.

Zhou Jieyang cried out in pain but remained defiant.

Wang Chenning drove a heavy fist into Zhou Jieyang’s stomach. The man’s scream was cut short as he crumpled to the ground, having passed out from the pain.

Wang Chenning dropped Zhou Jieyang, then grabbed Zheng Qiuhang’s classmates one by one, knocking each of them out with a clean chop to the back of the neck.

Zheng Qiuhang screamed in terror. She instinctively backed away, clutching her head as she retreated into a corner.

Her wide, terrified eyes were fixed on Wang Chenning, afraid that she would be next.

All traces of her usual composure and elegance were gone.

Wang Chenning revived Zhou Jieyang, then pressed several of his acupressure points.

Zhou Jieyang was instantly overwhelmed by a pain that made him wish for death, and he began to beg for mercy repeatedly.

“I just got back to Yandu yesterday, and today you’re already here looking for Zheng Qiuhang. Things aren’t that coincidental, are they?” Wang Chenning slapped Zhou Jieyang again and demanded viciously, “Spit it out! Who ordered you to come here and cause trouble?”

Zhou Jieyang begged and pleaded, but after being unable to withstand the unbearable agony in his body, he finally gave up resisting. “I’ll talk! I’ll talk! A man named Zhou Bohai told me to come!”

“The details!” Wang Chenning kicked Zhou Jieyang to the ground, planted a foot on his chest, and demanded with a blank expression, “If I find out you’re lying to me, I’ll make sure you die a slow death. And rest assured, no one can neutralize the poison I’ve given you!”

Zhou Jieyang completely broke down. Through a mess of tears and snot, he spilled everything.

Zhou Bohai was one of Mo Dawei’s subordinates. Mo Dawei had been nursing a grudge ever since Wang Chenning had humiliated him a while back.

And Mo Dawei, in turn, was just a henchman for Zhang Guoping.

When Zhang Guoping found out about Zhou Jieyang’s history with Zheng Qiuhang, he instigated him to get revenge.

Zhou Jieyang had tried to come to Li Garden Hall a few times before, but he’d never been able to get inside.

Just two days ago, when a group of classmates was discussing plans for a reunion, he brought up Zheng Qiuhang. He told them she was a manager at Li Garden Hall, a place only high-class people could enter, and said he could take everyone to see what it was like.

Two of Zheng Qiuhang’s roommates, with whom she had always been close, were in the group. Zhou Jieyang gambled that she wouldn’t refuse so many of her classmates and make them lose face.

His gamble paid off. Once the group got inside, he goaded the others into pulling Zheng Qiuhang to drink with them.

The very reason for coming to Li Garden Hall today was that Wang Chenning had returned.

To ruin Zheng Qiuhang right in front of Wang Chenning would be an immensely satisfying form of revenge.

While everyone was celebrating today, he had slipped a drug into the drinks when no one was paying attention. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Ever since the last time Wang Chenning had taught him a lesson, Zhou Jieyang had lost his… normal bodily functions.

Because of this, he couldn’t lay a hand on Zheng Qiuhang himself. He wanted to have the other male students ruin her for him.

Hearing Zhou Jieyang’s confession, Zheng Qiuhang—who was huddled in the corner, legs crossed tightly as she struggled to keep calm—went pale with horror all over again.

She threw caution to the wind and rushed over, raining punches and kicks on Zhou Jieyang as he lay pinned under Wang Chenning’s foot.

However, she was finding it increasingly difficult to control herself. After just a few kicks, she suddenly lost her balance.

If Wang Chenning hadn’t reached out to steady her, she would have fallen right on top of Zhou Jieyang.

“Did he kiss you?” Wang Chenning asked, gesturing toward Zhou Jieyang on the floor.

“No!” Zheng Qiuhang immediately shook her head. “He just… put his arm around my shoulder!”

“Go back to your room, now!” Wang Chenning commanded, his face an emotionless mask. “Stop disgracing yourself here!”

Terrified, Zheng Qiuhang scrambled to get out.

In her panic, she nearly crashed into the door.

Luckily, there was no one outside when she ran out.

She bit her own arm hard, using the sharp pain to force herself to stay lucid.

Then, mustering all her strength, she sprinted back to her own room.

Back in her room, she finally lost all control. She ran straight into the bathroom and, without even taking off her clothes, stumbled into the shower. She cranked the handle, dousing herself in a torrent of cold water.

The icy shock helped her regain a sliver of her sanity.

She quickly stripped off her soaking wet clothes and, not even bothering to grab a towel, made a dash for her bed.

She was only halfway there when the door opened. An expressionless Wang Chenning walked in.
