35. Perverted Staff Members.

The following day was Monday and a rainy day.

But Logan and Odette had already said their goodbyes to Elias and Marielle.

Now, they had returned to Delphine's mansion, but rather than making their way back home to Starlight City, Logan and Odette decided to stay with Delphine a bit more by accompanying her to her company.

As for why they had done this instead, this was because Logan had noticed something in his aunt's eyes.

Despite having two magical beasts hiding in her shadow, Delphine still had a few worrying thoughts spiralling in her mind.

Anyways, now they were on the road, driving to Delphine's company, but still the expression on Delphine's face wasn't good.

She was really tense throughout the entire drive.

She had been fearing another unexpected situation might occur again on the road.

After all, she's watched her fair share of TV dramas, and in those dramas, accidents were most likely to happen in such hazy and rainy weather.

Yes, she had magical beasts in her shadow whose mere presence was meant to instill calm and confidence in those they were meant to protect.

However, this effect could only work at its full potential if the person the beast was protecting knew of their presence.

But since Delphine didn't know about the magical beasts yet, there was only so little the effect could do for Delphine.

Right now, the attack she encountered on Friday night left a significant psychological shadow in Delphine's heart, and this had increased even more due to the rain outside.

The psychological anxiety had put immense pressure on Delphine's spirit because the other party was from the Sinclair Family, which happened to be one of the top ten Great Families.

So, if Joseph Sinclair was going to make a move, it would surely be a thunderous move.

In the sense that, a moving truck could easily be set up to 'accidentally' slam against her vehicle, slamming it against a wall and crushing everyone inside, including her best friend's son.

This was the kind of fear appearing over and over again in Delphine's mind throughout the drive, and it caused her to tighten her hands on her dress before feeling a hand on her shoulder.

"Aunt Delphine, are you alright?" Logan's words instantly pulled her out of her nightmares.

The car had arrived at the company's underground parking garage, but Logan noticed Delphine was getting out of the car and seemed to be staring blankly, so he touched her shoulder and asked, since he clearly didn't know what she was thinking.

Meanwhile, hearing his words, Delphine instantly blinked twice before staring at Logan.

Then she realised that they had already arrived at the company's underground parking garage.

"I'm fine, dear."

"Are you sure? Cause it seemed like you were zoned out for a second."

"Yeah, it was probably just too much stress, nothing to worry about." Delphine managed to reply before brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

Then she tried gathering her spirit before forcing a smile on her face and taking out her makeup from her bag to touch up her look.

Normally, Delphine, being a dark elf, was extremely beautiful, and naturally, she was confident about her appearance and didn't always like wearing makeup because she knew her natural beauty was enough to exude her charm.

But right now, she had no choice but to use it.

Meanwhile, noticing the frown and sadness Delphine was trying to hide from him, Logan decided to do something for her in return.

"Oh my, Aunt Delphine. Where did you go?" Logan playfully pretended not to see Delphine in the car anymore.

"Huh? What do you mean? I'm right here."

"Where? Aunt Delphine? Where did you go? All I see is your beautiful younger sister sitting in the car."

Hearing this, Delphine unknowingly smiled and chuckled before slapping his arm lightly.

"You little tease. I almost believed you didn't see me for a second."

"Well, my aunt looked really beautiful this morning, so I had to compliment her somehow."

"Careful there, smooth talker, or auntie might just fall in love with you." Delphine smiled softly as she watched Logan help her out of the car.

Of course, Odette could be seen smiling behind them as well because she knew Logan was trying to lift up the mood of his aunt.

Just like Logan, she had noticed the troubled look on Delphine's face, so she was pleased to see how Logan was handling the situation well.

Moving on, she locked the car door and quickly followed the two who were already heading into the building.

Upon entering the company lobby, Logan noticed several eyes lingering on him and the ladies.

Their eyes were just like those of the people who had been staring at him and Odette in the restaurant during their date.

Being an elf certainly had its perks.

Their entire being simply screamed elegance, pride and otherworldly beauty.

So to see three exquisite and extremely beautiful elves in one room only made these people speechless.

There was no way the staff members wouldn't be awestruck by the trio in front of them.

"Who are the two accompanying the Chairlady?"

"Are they new business partners?"

"Maybe they're models?"

"Or distant relatives?"

"Who cares. I just love how the Chairlady looks so beautiful in front of them."

"But the other two look so young and amazing as well."

"Yeah, the guy in particular."

"Ohh, tell me about it. Just imagine having him as a boyfriend."

Three ladies kept whispering to themselves, and a fourth joined in on their conversation.

"You three know they're elves, right, so they might be a lot older than they look."

"Hmm, then that means I will have to call him daddy?"

"Ohh, I'm already turned on by the thought of kneeling before him and calling him daddy."

"Hmm, it would be a dream come true."

"You three disgust me. It's no wonder you've got no boyfriends till now." The fourth shook her head in disappointment.

After all, her three work buddies were a lost cause, and there was no point talking to them at this point since Logan and the two ladies had walked straight to Delphine's office.
