28. Date.

"So, Odette, dear, do you have anything you'll be wearing on your date today?"

"Why yes, Aunt Delphine, I do have clothes to wear today, thanks for asking." Logan playfully replied with a cute feminine voice, seemingly teasing Odette, but both ladies found it cute and giggled knowingly.

"Not you, silly boy, I meant her. She's a woman, and a woman cannot simply wear whatever she has on hand for her first real date with the man she loves. So this calls for a proper preparation. Come with me, Odette, I'm sure I have the right size of clothes for you to wear."

Delphine immediately grabbed Odette's hand before the beautiful half-elf could protest or reject her offer, and Odette was pulled toward the stairs, causing the young half-elf to give Logan a helpless look over her shoulder that said 'Help me, please, young master.'

Of course, Logan simply smiled as he waved and watched her get dragged into a room filled with hundreds and thousands of clothes of different designs and textures.

"Alright, I guess it's my turn to go get dressed as well." Logan smiled warmly as he stood up from his seat, headed to the kitchen, then he grabbed two large slabs of raw ham before tossing them into the darkest part of the room.

Then he heard the growling sound of a beast munching on the meat tossed into the shadows.

Moving on, hours passed by in a flash, then Odette came downstairs wearing a simple dark green dress with her hair styled up a little different from usual.

Staring up at the dazzling maiden approaching him, Logan actually forgot what he was about to say, leaving him with just one word coming out of his mouth.

"Wow."

"Is it too much?" Odette asked with her cheeks already pink after noticing how awestruck her young master was.

"Too much? No, not too much. Not even close. You look incredible."

"T-Thank you." Odette smoothed down the front of her dress nervously, not sure of what to do now after receiving a really good compliment from the man she liked.

Meanwhile, Delphine stood behind Odette, with a proud look on her face.

Not only was she admiring her own handiwork, but she was also proud of how her nephew had complimented Odette's look.

'Yep, if he keeps this up, ladies would be all over him like bees to honey.'

"Alright, you two." Delphine clapped her hands softly, drawing the attention of the two lovebirds.

"I expect you two to have a great time today. Oh, and Mon cher, try to bring her back by a reasonable hour and no funny business, okay?"

"No promises." Logan winked playfully before leaving the house with Odette by his side.

Time passed, and the two finally arrived at their destination, which happened to be when the sun could be seen settling down in the evening.

The restaurant was a small diner found in the corner of the city, but it definitely looked nice and exquisite.

They both sat in front of a table near the window, but for the first few minutes, neither of them said anything to each other.

And Odette could certainly be seen stealing glances outside and at those in the restaurant with them.

Since they had separated from Delphine and were now alone, Odette didn't want to remain too long so as not to neglect her primary objective, which is to always ensure her young master's safety.

Yes, she was happy to be on a date with him, but ensuring his safety took a greater precedence than anything else.

Meanwhile, Logan noticed the serious look on his bodyguard's face, scrutinizing the entire room with the elegance of an experienced bodyguard/assailant.

It was both astonishing and scary at the same time.

So, he slowly slid his arm across the table to grab hold of her hand, gently.

"Relax, Odette. I'm pretty sure no one is stupid enough to disrupt the date of a beautiful lady this evening."

"H-huh?"

"I understand you're trying to protect me, but let's not forget tonight isn't only about me. It's about us, so let's focus on trying to have fun. Besides, I doubt anyone would try to attack in public like this."

"Y-you're right." Odette's cheeks reddened the more she stared at Logan's large hands, holding her small delicate hand softly.

Of course, she knew Logan was right about them being in public.

It would be stupid for the assailant to barge into the restaurant, just for their sakes, so it meant those guys would definitely not try to do anything rash that might expose them.

And as for them sitting close to the window, Odette wasn't worried about this because the large glass windows were made in such a way that only those from the inside could see what was outside.

So that means only they get to see the beautiful view of the city at night whilst no one from the outside would be able to view the interior of the restaurant through the window.

However, one should not neglect Delphine being left behind in the mansion either.

At first, Odette had tried to convince Logan that maybe their date should be postponed to another day due to the possibility that Delphine's assailants might return again, but Delphine grinned in understanding before comforting both of them.

Delphine urged both elves to go on their date because she would be spending the night in her underground safe room.

The underground safe room was like an underground bunker known only to Delphine.

To get into the room was extremely difficult for anyone other than Delphine herself.

But she could also keep watch over her own home through her high-tech CCTV surveillance camera.

In other words, if there were any signs of intruders, Delphine was prepared to alert Logan and Odette, along with the necessary authorities.

This was what made Odette a bit more relaxed as she decided to focus on her time with Logan during their date together.

"Alright then. I believe it's time we order something to eat."
