Chapter 1875: A Vague Sense of Foreboding

"CEO Kingston, please have a seat." Tess Tate snapped back to reality, quickly handed him a bottle of juice, and said a bit apologetically, "This is all I have at home, the kettle broke this morning."

Justin Kingston reached out to take it, "Thank you." He unscrewed the cap and took a sip of the three-dollar juice, sitting down on the sofa with a particularly easygoing manner.

Today, he’s just an ordinary person here to inquire about Abby Sawyer’s past, without any other identity.

Since Tess Tate didn’t know her whereabouts, he might as well ask something else.

Justin Kingston’s easygoing nature left a very strong impression on Tess Tate, a stark contrast to the legendary business figure he was at the company.

Sitting across from him, the girl felt a bit nervous, thinking this all seemed unreal.

"I heard from Flora Lee that you were very close with Abby Sawyer in your senior year, that’s why I came here to ask about her." Justin Kingston said, "Could you try to remember carefully? I... I want to know her."

Tess Tate conjured up the image of that girl in her mind, "Please hold on a moment." Then she got up and walked towards the bedroom.

Justin Kingston didn’t know what she was going to do, but continued to wait.

Soon, the girl emerged holding a bag, sat across from him, and took out some photo stickers, an album, yearbook, and... letters from the bag.

She arranged them all, pushing them to the other side of the coffee table, "Take a look."

Justin Kingston’s long fingers picked up each of the photo stickers, one girl was Tess Tate, and even though many years had passed, he could recognize her at a glance.

So, was the other girl Abby Sawyer?

This girl’s most prominent feature was her waist-length black hair, beautiful big eyes, and sweet smile. In an era without beauty filters, she was undoubtedly considered pretty.

"In our senior year, we were always desk mates. She always had a small vase with a fresh flower on her desk; she was a slow-paced person. Later, I found out her family ran a flower shop."

"Why did you lose contact, if you were so close?" Justin Kingston asked, flipping through the yearbook.

"I don’t know why," Tess Tate still couldn’t figure it out, "We had originally planned to have a meal together after the college entrance exams, but that day her phone suddenly turned off, I waited until the night but she didn’t show up, and we lost contact since."

"Do you know where her family lives? Where’s the flower shop?"

The girl shook her head and said regretfully, "I planned several times to visit her family’s flower shop, but senior year was too busy. I never found the time, so we agreed to visit after graduation, but..."

Justin Kingston opened the yearbook and noticed that Abby Sawyer’s page didn’t have her home address filled in, while every other section including her star sign and blood type was complete.

"So if CEO Kingston has any news about her, please let me know." The girl’s voice carried a hint of sadness, "I miss her a lot." After all these years, Abby had always been on her mind.

Because not knowing whether she’s dead or alive... Tess Tate always had a bad premonition.

Otherwise, a person couldn’t disappear so completely. They had promised to meet for a meal, how could she break the appointment? After knowing each other for so long, Abby was always punctual.

"Alright." Justin Kingston nodded and agreed with her, "If you have any news about her, please let me know as well."

He closed the yearbook, very down-to-earth, took a sip of the juice, and raised his eyes to ask, "Do you know about her romantic situation? Before transferring she had a boyfriend, but it seems they broke up in their senior year. Do you know the reason for the breakup?"

Tess Tate remembered that period vividly, she replied, "For a while, she was in a very low mood, so upset she often skipped meals, and later I found out she broke up with her first love."
