Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1874: Searching for Abby Sawyer 4
Justin Kingston also froze slightly, his gaze fixed on the girl’s face.
Flora Lee, who was accompanying him, was even more surprised. She looked at her old classmate, then at the man beside her. Could they possibly know each other?
At this moment, Tess Tate hurriedly adjusted her large glasses on the bridge of her nose, feeling a tad uneasy, "Uh... please come in."
She felt her home was too humble; to be specific, this is her mother’s house. She had bought a small apartment in the city, returning today to celebrate her mom’s birthday.
"Tess, do you... do you know him?" Flora was quite shocked, following her inside and couldn’t help but ask, "How do you know each other?"
But Justin Kingston had no impression of this girl.
Still, her knowing him was perfectly normal. He was a regular in the financial news, and as the most famous magnate in Riventhal, his fan base was solid.
"CEO Kingston." Upon entering, Tess bowed to him and began introducing herself, "I am a legal assistant in your company’s legal department and have been working there for a year."
Oh? Someone from his company?
With this connection, Justin Kingston felt he might discover some traces of Abby Sawyer, both good and bad no one would hide, right?
"Hello." Justin Kingston reached out to her voluntarily, his demeanor was gentle and courteous, with no boss’s air at all.
It should be known that in the past, within the company, he was so distant.
The girl was flattered, having worked in the company for a year, never had she had such close interaction with the CEO, and today she could even shake his hand??
She pursed her lips and bravely extended her hand, "Hello, CEO Kingston." At the moment their hands touched, Tess displayed a joyful smile on her face; she truly felt honored.
Flora Lee beside them was envious. This was the manifestation of her ideal man, though regrettably, this ideal man was married.
And just then, Flora’s phone rang. She took the call nearby and after hanging up, she said to the other two, "Sorry, I have to leave now, my dad is looking for me."
"Alright." Justin Kingston turned his gaze toward her, his demeanor was warm, "Thank you."
"You’re welcome, it’s no problem." Flora waved to Justin Kingston, her smile a bit shy and reserved, and then waved to Tess before turning to leave, her heart still pounding as she exited.
Is this what they call love at first sight?
Attracted by looks, enchanted by charm.
Once Flora left, only Justin Kingston and Tess were left in the small building. Tess felt slightly guilty about CEO Kingston visiting such a modest home, but more she worried for herself—
"CEO Kingston... did I make some error at work?"
Just as she asked this, she realized something was wrong. She was merely a legal assistant, even if she committed a huge mistake, how could it trouble the CEO enough to come personally?
To discipline, to scold, to fire, wouldn’t a word from her department head suffice?
Upon realizing her concern, Justin Kingston quickly smiled warmly, "No, no, don’t misunderstand." He didn’t want to exert any pressure on her.
He promptly told her, "I’m here for Abby Sawyer."
Abby Sawyer?
Tess’s mind conjured up the image of that girl, she asked, "CEO Kingston, do you have any news about her? Where is she now?"
Upon hearing this, Justin Kingston’s heart dropped.
What? She also didn’t know? Wasn’t she supposed to ask him?
Weren’t they best friends in high school senior year?
Their gazes met, Justin Kingston asked, "You don’t have any news of her?"
"..." The girl shook her head.
Alright then, neither of them had news of her, this girl seemed to have vanished from the human world, disappearing from everyone’s sights.
