Chapter 630: Chapter 629: Going south using bicycles

Fortunately, he wasn’t picky, so he had different sizes of bikes, making it easier for the others to choose what they were going to use.

Of course, he had already separated the bike that he was going to use and didn’t bother taking it out.

"Boss, you really have a lot of things in your space," Camille happily said while looking at all the bicycles in front of them.

Luciel didn’t bother replying and just let them choose the bikes that they wanted.

While Camille and the others were choosing their bikes, the younger kids were also looking at them.

Unfortunately, they could only look enviously at the others choosing their bikes because they wouldn’t be using any.

Ashlee and the others might be able to use children’s bikes, but unfortunately, they still couldn’t ride alone because of the possible dangers, so they could only watch the others choose the bikes that they’d be using.

"I also want to ride a bike," Sophie said while looking at the others enviously.

"Unfortunately, you can only try to use it once we’re back at the north base," Luciel said.

"Yes," Sophie said obediently, and then asked, "but big brother Luciel, do you also have bikes that we can use?" ℯℯ𝘭.

"I have, but you guys can only pick what you want once we’re back at the north base."

The others took a while choosing what bike suited them better, so it took them a longer time.

After all of them finished choosing their bicycles, he put the other bikes in his space again and brought out backpacks as well as different supplies, letting the others arrange their own supplies in their bags. They still had to have their own supplies, so he brought out those that they’d probably be needing.

They started arranging their supplies, and since it was already late, they asked the younger kids to sleep.

Luciel also went to his bed, playing something first before closing his eyes earlier than usual, as he also had to wake up earlier since they were going to start traveling tomorrow morning.

They weren’t going to drive their RVs, so he couldn’t just continue sleeping while the others were driving, meaning he could only wake up earlier.

The next morning, because he managed to rest earlier and hadn’t been disturbed that night, he was able to wake up earlier than usual.

Of course, even though he woke up earlier, the others still woke up earlier than him, so when he woke up, the others were already in the middle of eating their breakfast.

He joined them, and after resting, he brought the RVs back to his space again and brought out the bike he was going to use.

The kids were still carried by the other four, and they warned the kids to behave well while they were traveling.

They put all the younger kids in front of them, as they had already fixed it the night before so that the kids would be more comfortable while sitting in front of them.

After they got ready, they all went out with Nate leading them, as he was in charge of cleaning up the road blocks, followed by Nathan, who was in charge of cleaning up the zombies on the road.

Camille and Jacob were put in between those who didn’t have superpowers among the older kids, together with Astrid and Ian, who also had superpowers and could use them for longer-distance attacks.

Of course, all those older kids were actually equipped with guns, so even though they didn’t have superpowers, they could still attack using their guns if necessary.

However, those kids were still more proficient with spears and daggers than handling guns, so Luciel only told them to use their guns if it was really necessary for them to shoot.

The kids had also been taught how to shoot, but it seemed that most of them didn’t really have a talent for it because when Luciel watched them practicing before, most of them still couldn’t shoot their targets properly and needed many tries before they could do it.

They continued to practice, so there should be an improvement, but it was still probably better not to use them for the time being, as they also had their spears and daggers with them.

As for him, he was still at the very end, as it was better if he could see all of them clearly so that there wouldn’t be a problem for him to pull them out if something happened.

The road ahead of them was really filled with all kinds of debris, so even though they were choosing areas with the least debris, they were still moving forward very slowly. Of course, if they didn’t have bikes and just walked or used their RVs, it would be even slower.

Well, even if it was slow, at least they were still moving forward. But unlike using the RV, where they could continue driving and only rest for lunch time or at night, when using the bicycles, they had to rest every two or three hours so that the older kids could let their legs rest for a bit. When resting, they also used that time to have their snacks and other things before continuing again after resting for 20 or 30 minutes.

Because they were traveling slowly with their bikes, they were only able to move away from the most affected areas after two days. In those two days, they continued using their bicycles.

Fortunately, they didn’t encounter much danger along the way, as most of what they encountered were zombies, and those zombies were dealt with by Nathan and the others.

They also encountered four zombie dogs, but those zombie dogs were normal-sized, so even though they moved faster than others, they were still dealt with by Nathan and the others.

By traveling through their bikes, they also saw things more clearly and saw how destructive the earthquake was to the surrounding area.
