Chapter 629 - 628: Contact with Treyton
Chapter 629: Chapter 628: Contact with Treyton
After they got back, the kids trained with Nathan and the others until it was time for dinner.
Camille and Jacob heated up the food that was in their fridge, and all of them enjoyed it.
"By the way, do you still have enough generators or power stations?" Nathan said while looking at the fridge in their RV.
"Yes, I still have enough. Don’t worry, we won’t have to worry about power while we’re going south."
He still had enough in their space, and even if it wasn’t enough, he could just ask Treyton to charge them.
Because they had already separated before, when he came back, he and Treyton had already agreed that if ever they were separated again, then they could use a notebook that they had designated to use together with a phone without any password.
They just left those on one side of their space so that they could retrieve them whenever they needed, and they didn’t have to enter their space to look for any notes at all, which would be more convenient and efficient—as they certainly couldn’t just enter their space at any time, especially Treyton.
He had already retrieved the phone and the notebook a while ago, and saw that Treyton had already written something in it.
Treyton had already written that all of them were still alive and were all still on the bridge. He also wrote that they had to continue repairing parts of the bridge, as they still planned to continue using it to travel south.
Treyton had used the notebook, but he was too lazy to write, so he just used the phone to type on the notes and also wrote where they currently were. He had even shared the photos that they took on the shore a while ago while relaxing, and their photos with the mutant fish when they had just arrived.
Treyton and the others would still be using the bridge, so depending on their speed in repairing the bridge and how much damage it had suffered, they’ll probably still arrive in the south faster than them.
Of course, they could also arrive at the South Base faster than Treyton and the others if they rushed and if they didn’t meet other inconveniences on the road.
However, the south area that they were in was also obviously affected by the earthquake, so the roads that they’re going to use would certainly have more roadblocks than before.
They’ll probably only be able to travel faster after getting out of the area severely affected by the earthquake.
And they’re not really in a rush, because he doesn’t want to get tired rushing to the South Base when they don’t even have to rush going there, as Treyton and the others were the ones who were in charge of establishing communication with others and not them.
"It seems that your space is really filled with a lot of things," Nathan said while giving him a thumbs up.
Afterwards, they started talking about how they’re going to travel tomorrow.
"We certainly couldn’t use our RVs while we’re in this area. The roads are already full of debris from fallen buildings and other things.
If we’re going to use our RVs, then we probably won’t be able to move that much because we have a lot of things to clean up, which would just take too much time since our abilities aren’t really geared for clearing the road," Nathan said.
For clearing the road, aside from him, only Nate could move things, as he has wind ability. Ian, who has earth ability, could also help a bit if the road that they’re traveling on is just on land, but the effect also isn’t that good.
Nathan and the others already knew that they certainly couldn’t really let him clean the roads for them, so they’re already saying that they won’t be able to use their RVs to travel later.
If he still had to do all those tasks for them, then it would be better to just leave them behind. He’s already willing to guard them so that they wouldn’t be killed and provide them with supplies that they needed, so that’s already enough.
If he had to do all the things for them, then it would be better to just make a place to stay and wait for Treyton and the others to arrive, or just leave them behind—as he wasn’t willing to act as a full-time nanny for them, even if they had already known each other for a long time.
If he’s only with the younger kids, then he could still do it, as those younger kids really couldn’t do much with their current size at all.
Fortunately, Nathan and the others also understood such a thing and didn’t suggest that he’ll be in charge of even clearing the road, because if they really did, then he’ll just leave them behind and let them fend for themselves.
"Then let’s just use bicycles. I saw some bicycles nearby; we could use them to travel while we’re still in these parts that were severely affected by the earthquake. I could just clean up a space enough for our bicycles to pass through," Nate said.
Nathan looked at the kids and asked, "You guys know how to use bikes, right?"
"Yes, we know," Astrid said, and the others also nodded.
"Then there’s no problem; we could use bikes, and carry the younger kids with us," Nathan said.
"OK, then the first thing we will do tomorrow is to look for bikes that we could use," Camille said.
"No need to look for bikes. I have some; you guys can choose what you’re going to use," Luciel said, and brought out the bikes that he has in his space.
He and Treyton had really gotten a lot of things in their space, knowing that they have enough space to put more things.
The bicycles in their space were actually from some of the malls that they had stayed at before, but no one had cared about those bicycles that were being sold, so he and Treyton just put some in their space.
