"Lana!" Eileen cried out. "Why are you crying? Is it because of your husband...?"

"No, it has nothing to do with him." Lana Sheffield wiped away her tears. "Why are you here? Hasn’t filming already started? What are you still doing in Rockwellburg?"

"I made a special trip back here for something."

"What is it?"

"It’s about Melody Monroe."

"Lana, I came to see you today about Melody Monroe. First, take a look at these." She pulled a stack of photos from her purse and handed them to Lana Sheffield.

"Who is this child?" Lana Sheffield asked as she looked at the photos, discovering a picture of a little boy.

"He’s Melody Monroe’s illegitimate son."

"Melody Monroe’s illegitimate son?!" Lana Sheffield was stunned.

’How old is Melody Monroe, anyway? This child looks to be three or four!’

"Are you sure?" Lana Sheffield asked, flipping through the photos. The ones that followed showed Melody Monroe together with the boy.

"I also have some of Melody Monroe’s records here."

Lana Sheffield recognized them at a glance—they were prenatal checkup records.

"Some of the records have been lost, but this is more than enough proof."

"How did you get these?" Lana Sheffield stared at the documents. ’These are definitely not forgeries!’

"That woman, Melody Monroe, is a menace! I regret ever knowing her, regret ever treating her like a friend. Not only did she try to destroy my family, she nearly killed my mother!"

"You’ve known Melody Monroe for a long time?"

"That’s right. I met her at a bar. I thought she was pretty, always surrounded by a crowd of men, and I started hanging out with her. I genuinely considered her a friend, but it turned out I was letting a wolf into my own home. She actually went after my dad!"
