Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year
Chapter 533: Rose Shaw Is Mine Now
"I agree. Your cooking is the best I’ve ever had."
"Really?"
"Really!" Rose Shaw nodded.
Keith Coleman suddenly stood up and pecked Rose Shaw on the cheek.
"Keith Coleman!"
"You told me to control myself. To not always be saying how much I like you, to not say flirty, ambiguous things, and especially not to make any overly intimate moves. Do you have any idea how hard I’ve been holding back? Trust me, I’ve been trying my absolute best to exercise restraint."
Rose Shaw didn’t dare to meet his gaze. The intensity in his eyes was like a raging fire, threatening to pull her in and burn away her reason, leaving her flustered and confused.
Taking advantage of her chaotic thoughts, Keith Coleman leaned in toward her again.
The sight of his handsome face, suddenly so close, made her body go rigid.
Keith Coleman gazed at her cherry-red lips and gently pressed his own against them. Just as Rose Shaw began to struggle, he wrapped his arms tightly around her, making it impossible for her to escape.
Suddenly, a shrill ringtone shattered the moment.
Keith Coleman had no choice but to let Rose Shaw go.
Rose Shaw took two sharp, deep breaths before getting up to grab her phone.
The moment she saw the caller ID, her expression froze. She hesitated for a few seconds before answering.
Keith Coleman had finally gotten his way. Though it was just a light kiss, he was satisfied. Smiling, he picked up his chopsticks and grabbed a piece of food.
"President Sterling."
His hand froze, and the piece of food he’d just picked up dropped onto the table. He slowly turned his head to look at Rose Shaw.
"Are you sure you won’t come back to Stellaris?" Christopher Sterling’s voice came through the phone.
Rose Shaw took a deep breath and said slowly, "I made everything perfectly clear that day."
’Before this, she never thought she would dare confess her feelings to Christopher Sterling. She had planned to keep this love buried deep inside her for a lifetime.’
’But that day, she had summoned her courage and said it all.’
’She didn’t want to leave herself any room for retreat.’
’By saying it, everything could finally come to a complete end.’
But she never would have imagined that Christopher Sterling would make this call.
"Rose Shaw, I’ve been thinking about what you said for a very long time. Nothing in my life has ever left me so adrift. No matter how much I think, I can’t seem to sort out my own thoughts."
"President Sterling, it’s actually very simple. You’re married, and I can no longer stay by your side. That’s all there is to it."
"I need you. Rose Shaw, I need you."
Rose Shaw frowned, biting her lip.
Suddenly, she felt a weight against her back. Keith Coleman hugged her from behind and spoke into the phone, "Rose, come and eat. Weren’t you starving? The food is getting cold."
Rose Shaw immediately tried to push Keith Coleman away, but he held her tightly from behind, refusing to let go.
"Are you with Keith Coleman?"
"We’re living together now." Keith Coleman snatched the phone away. "Christopher Sterling, why are you still calling? Are you planning to divorce your wife, abandon your child, and be with Rose Shaw?"
"If not, then stop harassing her!"
"Keith Coleman, this is between me and Rose Shaw. You have no right to interfere."
"Why wouldn’t I have the right? She’s living in my house, sleeping in my bed, and I’m holding her in my arms right now. You tell me if I have the right to get involved!"
"Christopher Sterling! I’m telling you, Rose is my woman now! You just dare to lay a finger on her!" Keith Coleman hung up and tossed the phone aside.
He pulled the still-dazed Rose Shaw back toward the dining table.
"Let’s finish dinner. From now on, just don’t answer his calls, okay? I don’t want to see you upset." Keith Coleman frantically piled food onto Rose Shaw’s plate.
