Jasper Rockwell: ...

"This place doesn’t just belong to you, so you don’t get the final say. This is Melody and Ian’s home too. Ian, how about I come over and play with you often from now on?"

"Okay," Ian Monroe nodded.

’Mr. Fairchild hates this guy so much, so I should have him come over more often. It’s settled, then.’

"See? In your family of three, it was one against one. Melody would never stop me from coming, so that makes it one against two. The minority yields to the majority."

Ian Monroe nodded in agreement.

Just then, Bunny scurried out from who-knows-where, ran right up to Jasper Rockwell, and started nudging him with its snout.

"Bunny, you can’t have so much candy!"

"So you want more candy, huh! This pig is pretty smart. It knows to come back for more after finishing the last one." Jasper Rockwell pulled a lollipop from his pocket.

"If it gets any fatter, we can have a pig roast!" Evan Fairchild’s cold voice cut in.

Bunny immediately turned and ran to Melody Monroe, hiding behind her.

"You scared it again!" Melody picked Bunny up and stroked it gently. "Don’t be scared, he won’t eat you. But you really have gotten a lot chubbier lately."

"It’s a pig. It wouldn’t be normal if it wasn’t fat." Jasper Rockwell unwrapped the lollipop and held it out.

Bunny showed none of its previous excitement. Lying in Melody’s arms, it just stared at the lollipop but didn’t take a bite.

"Holy crap! It actually understood that I called it fat! It’s not eating!" Jasper Rockwell stared at the pig in shock. "No wonder your kind is in a zoo while you’re living here."

Not wanting to waste any more time bickering with Jasper Rockwell, Evan Fairchild asked, "Ian Monroe, is your homework done?"

"Not yet. I’ll go do it right now." Ian Monroe obediently stood up and headed upstairs.

"You should go do your homework too," Evan Fairchild then said to Melody Monroe.

Melody Monroe immediately nodded and went after Ian Monroe.

Soon, only Evan Fairchild and Jasper Rockwell were left in the living room.

"If you dare to come here often from now on, I’ll break your legs."

"But Melody and Ian just agreed to let me come."

"I agree too. But you’ll have to bear the consequences."

Jasper Rockwell: ...

Evan Fairchild’s attitude toward Jasper Rockwell was something that had developed since childhood. Back then, because of their families’ relationship, he would occasionally visit Rockwellburg, or Jasper would go to Argent.

But regardless of whether they were in Rockwellburg or Argent, Jasper would always sneak into his room at night and squeeze into bed with him.

Jasper was afraid of sleeping alone, and sleeping with Evan Fairchild, who was the same age, was the perfect excuse.

However, Evan Fairchild’s disdain for him only grew stronger and stronger.

Later, Evan Fairchild went abroad. Every time he came back, he would visit the Rockwell Family’s old master in Rockwellburg. He even bought property in Rockwellburg, but Jasper would still track him down to his residence.

In Evan Fairchild’s eyes, Jasper Rockwell was like a piece of sticky taffy that he couldn’t shake off. Just the sight of Jasper filled him with utter disdain.

And yet, his relationship with Jasper was, in reality, even closer than his relationship with his own two older brothers.

Now that Jasper knew they were living in Jansburg, he would definitely be coming over every other day.

"Evan, you’re married to Melody and even have Ian now. When are you planning to let your family know?" Jasper Rockwell grabbed a snack from the table and started eating, making himself completely at home.

"When the time is right."

"I think you should keep it a secret for now. Otherwise, I’m screwed. My parents and grandpa already look down on me enough as it is. If they find out you’re married and your son is already so big, they’ll probably unleash another barrage of lectures on me! I mean, my second older brother doesn’t even have a girlfriend, so why are they so worried about me?"

"They’re probably afraid you’ll go find a boyfriend," Evan Fairchild said.
