These headlines made Eileen’s head buzz.

She slapped her head hard, but still had no memory of what happened!

"So my drink was the problematic one? It was drugged?" she asked Raymond Ford.

Raymond Ford nodded.

"Then what about Melody Monroe?" Eileen Scott immediately pressed.

"She’s fine."

"She’s fine?!" Eileen Scott nearly passed out. How could that be possible? She had watched Melody Monroe drink that spiked wine with her own two eyes! How could Melody Monroe be fine?

’Has the world gone insane?’

"What exactly did I do on the livestream? Tell me! You have to tell me!" Eileen Scott’s body was trembling uncontrollably; she didn’t dare to even think about it.

"Eileen, you need to calm down. This isn’t the time to fixate on that. What’s done is done. Don’t worry, Mrs. Sterling has already suppressed it. That video is very short; it won’t spread online."

"Eileen, you get some rest. I’ll have people take care of this."

"Melody Monroe framed me! Are you just going to let her get away with it? I was set up!" Eileen Scott shrieked, her voice cracking. She had to know what consequences Melody Monroe would face!

"Lana, tell me, what’s being done about this? Have they arrested Melody Monroe?"

"Chester Johnson has been arrested. Someone at the scene filmed him spiking Melody Monroe’s drink. The evidence is irrefutable," Raymond Ford said, deciding to just tell Eileen the truth.

"And after that? What about Melody Monroe having someone drug me? Did you find out about that?"

"Right now, we’re facing two outcomes."

"What outcomes?"

"One: you’re suspected of conspiring to harm Melody Monroe. Two: you admit you were doing drugs."

"What?!" Hearing this, Eileen was about to explode.

"How is this your way of handling things? You call those the outcomes! I’m the victim here, okay? I am!" Eileen pointed at herself as tears streamed down her face.

Suddenly, she leaped out of bed and bolted for the door.

"Stop her!" Lana Sheffield yelled.

Raymond Ford immediately lunged forward and grabbed Eileen. "Eileen, calm down! Where do you think you’re going?"

"I’m going to call the police! I’m going to report Melody Monroe!"

"Do you have any proof? The person caught in the act was Chester Johnson—he’s your guy! Melody Monroe has managed to wash her hands of this completely! She’s the one with the evidence! If you don’t admit to doing drugs, then you and Chester Johnson will both be charged with conspiracy to commit assault! Chester can take the fall, but you’ll still have your reputation ruined and have to face investigation as a suspect!"

"But if we just claim you were high on something, this will only be a blow to your reputation. We have ways to get both you and Chester Johnson cleared of all charges!"

Eileen didn’t understand at all, and she had no desire to rationally analyze Raymond’s words.

All she knew was that she was about to explode from the sheer injustice of it all.

’Why? She was clearly the victim, so why did she have to swallow her pride and admit to things she never did! She had never done them! She would never touch that kind of stuff!’

Raymond Ford hugged Eileen, comforting her softly. "If you feel wronged, just cry. Let it all out. In the future, we’ll make Melody Monroe pay for this tenfold."
