Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year
Chapter 399 - 397: President Fairchild’s Treatment Is Also the Same
’I really hope this investigation wraps up quickly so this whole thing can be resolved. That way, we’ll all get a chance to go back to streaming.’
Since she couldn’t stream, Melody Monroe was holed up in her hotel room. Keith Coleman was handling Eileen Scott’s situation. No matter how many strings Lana Sheffield tried to pull, she couldn’t get Eileen out of his grasp.
Just then, Talia Mercer came into the room carrying a large box she had just picked up from the mail.
It was filled with things for Bunny.
"What did you buy? This box is huge!" Melody Monroe hurried over to help her lift it onto the table.
"There’s a cage, a little mat, and the rest is just other stuff—food, clothes, toys..." Talia Mercer explained as she started unboxing.
Melody Monroe immediately scooped up Bunny, who was fast asleep on the carpet, sprawled out on its back.
Bunny had already grown accustomed to the new environment and was showing its true colors.
"What’s this?" Melody Monroe asked, pulling out a small dress with a baffled look. "Is this for Bunny?"
"Yep!" Talia Mercer nodded.
"Pink lace?" Melody Monroe couldn’t imagine what Bunny would look like in this dress.
She decided she had to try it on right away.
Bunny was still half-asleep and groggy, so it was very cooperative, letting Melody Monroe dress it up without moving a muscle.
"It’s a perfect fit!" Melody Monroe tugged at the little dress. "Wow! With this on, our Bunny has transformed into a delicate little pig Princess!"
"Melody, is Bunny a girl or a boy?"
The question stumped Melody Monroe.
"I don’t know either."
Talia Mercer then pulled a tiny plaid suit out of the box. "I didn’t know if it was a boy or girl, so I bought two outfits."
Melody Monroe stared at the little suit, dumbfounded.
She looked down at the frilly, girly little pig in her arms. If she put it in this suit, wouldn’t it instantly have a sex change?
Still, Melody Monroe took off the dress and put Bunny in the little suit.
Bunny was still drowsy. Once changed, it simply nestled back into Melody Monroe’s arms.
"Good thing it’s a pig," Melody Monroe mused. She saw that this outfit also fit perfectly, and the change made Bunny look instantly dapper.
The two outfits had such drastically different styles, yet Bunny pulled them both off with ease!
"You must be the top model of the pig world, huh?"
The door opened and Keith Coleman and Rose Shaw walked in, one after the other. They both stopped short when they saw Bunny’s outfit.
"Rose, Keith, doesn’t it look good?"
"It does," Rose Shaw nodded, walking over to take Bunny and hold it in her arms.
Keith Coleman: ...
’This pig has lucked out big time in this life!’
’The only consolation,’ he thought, ’is that President Fairchild is in the same boat. In front of this pig, even he gets the same treatment.’
"Rose, any word from Director Hughes?"
"The fallout from this incident has been bad. Felix can’t give a hundred-percent guarantee that the show will continue, but he said he’ll do everything he can to resolve it."
’Felix?’ Keith Coleman’s eyebrow twitched. A thorn seemed to prick at his heart.
"Keith, what’s the situation on your end?"
"Just as I expected. They have no choice but to swallow this bitter pill. Eileen Scott has been brought in for questioning. They’re adamant they never intended to frame you, Melody. The footage only proves that Chester Johnson drugged the drink; it doesn’t prove who his intended target was."
"Chester Johnson will definitely be taken into custody. By the time he gets out, if the show even resumes, filming will be long over. Eileen Scott’s situation is still up in the air, but she probably won’t be detained."
