Be gentle.

I want her soul, her body and her everything.

The Prince Of Darkness stalked toward the bed and climbed onto it. His eyes followed her every movement, watching every desperate attempt she made to crawl away from him.

Corrine groaned softly, moving to lay flat on her stomach as she recovered slowly from the fall.

What just happened?

She moved an inch.

He is...he is...

The more she thought about it the harder it was to move further quickly. The bed felt slippery and her entire body stiff, still recovering from seeing something so traumatizing she preferred if all of this was just one bad nightmare or she was still stuck in the world of the dead.

Dreaming dreams that were so real enough to stir her emotions and cause her great pain.

So, they had all been working with a demon.

Corrine paused, breathing heavily as she stared at the dark space before her. The windows ahead as it showed the gloomy afternoon sky, preparing for another round of rain. Memories of her past life flashed before her eyes.

They had welcomed a demon...no, a monster disguised as a human into the safest place they knew.

They fed him, stayed with him and even felt comfortable with him at some point.

Hell, she even let him kiss...

The sky rumbled as if sharing in her disgust and pain. Her hand clenched hard on the dark bed sheets as she moved closer towards the edge, not wanting to give up.

She wondered if Berry or Lin knew about this.

She couldn’t believe that she let herself get manipulated by his antics so he could get close enough to them and...

The bed behind her dipped as he moved towards her.

And...and what?!

She tried to understand his intentions. Why did he even approach them? She doubts if it was even for any good reason.

Lightning flashed briefly in the sky, dooming the world below as she felt him crawl close enough to sense his presence behind her. His weight pressing on top of hers as he had her pinned down to the bed, ruining whatever chance of escape she had.

Corrine could only whimper and beg that whatever reason he approached them for out of the millions that lived in LA, it would have nothing to do with Berry, Lin or Stylie and hell, he wouldn’t go after them as well.

’’I only just got you back and you are already trying to leave me again.’’

Corrine pressed her lips tightly against each other, her face buried in the soft dark mattress when she felt one one of his hands move slowly at the curve of her waist and heard his sinful voice behind her left ear. His cold breath teases the soft skin around her neck.

’’Anais,’’ he called, while punishing her by arousing so many feelings within her.

They were only forbidden and overwhelming.

She lay completely in his hold and at his mercy as he held her close to himself, pouring out his heart to her and sharing his pain in a voice that resembled black honey.

Sweet and dark.

Calm yet dangerous.

For the first time, she was genuinely afraid of him now knowing what he was and what he could do to her.

Corrine answered with a muffled cry, only begging that he would leave her be.

Was that really too much to ask?

’’Have I ever harmed you in anyway?’’

’’Have I cursed you or left you unprotected before?’’

’’Have I ever shunned you?’’

He asked strangely as she felt his hands wander too close to her breast, burying his face deep in the crook of her neck, introducing her to so many illicit feelings she wondered if he was truly in the right state of mind.

’’No...’’ she cried out and he paused, holding her still until she gave up trying to move under him. His hand was hard but not painful on her.

’’Do I frighten you, Anais?’’

’’No,’’ she lied because she was to scared to know what will happen if she told him the truth.

’’Then why do you look so afraid? Why were you trying to run from me? You know that I can not live without you, Anias?’’

Oh god...

Corrine sobbed within.

What was this?

Why is he saying...

He moved her until she laid down flat on her back, Corrine’s lips parted at the feeling of having him between her legs, his eyes pinned down on her in a way that made her extremely nervous.

There was no lust in those dark, gold eyes but something else.

Possession....

Madness.

She moved her right leg until they curved around him. Her breath heavy as he leaned down close enough to stare directly in her eyes. His hands reached for hers. They clasped tightly around her fingers and pressed it down hard against the mattress, giving her no chance to fight back or to run from him.

His long, white hair spilled over his shoulders as he leaned against her. Their unique color gleamed in the dark as they locked eyes and became one.

His eyes softened down on her, revealing the pain he felt within.

’’You have no idea how I felt when you died.’’

He said, wishing she could relate to half of the pain he felt when he thought this was the end between them.

’’You slept so peacefully and are still in my arms. Anais, I begged you to open your eyes again but you refused me.’’

’’Let...go...’’ Her eyes moved to her hands pinned against the bed and struggled to break free but he was stronger. He would only let her move an inch if he wanted to. And if he wants her like this for her...who on earth and in hell could stop him?

Not even her could tell him to let go this time.

The ancient being moved until their lips were just inches apart, Corrine shivered when she felt the cold touch of his hands around her right thigh.

’’So what if I am not what you could ever love or accept?’’

They moved slowly up the length of her thigh. It made her move restlessly against him when she felt her entire body responding, like a slow awakening building up to an unfamiliar climax that terrified her.

It made her heart restless against her chest as she tried to free herself from him and whatever he was doing to her.

She let out a tortured moan of pleasure when he moved so close yet so far to where her body needed him the most.

’’The whole world could reject me but you, Anais.’’

Pressure unlike any other pooled strongly enough around her secret place when he moved slowly enough for her legs to tighten around him.

What in the world was he...?

Her legs tried again to close when he teased her most vulnerable place with his slow movement between her legs. She tried to stop him but he was already close enough to whisper sickly in her right ear.

’’Everyone could hate me except you.’’

She felt something sharp and cold touch her skin and shivered in his hold, increasing her struggle to move under him.

’’In this life and in the next, I will always come to make you mine no matter what.’’

Her eyes flared open when she felt it again, scraping gently down her neck. Her spin tingled in terror as she held her breath at what he had in mind to do next.

’’Anais. Your soul is mine now in exchange for this life.’’

A soft moan of pleasure, one she was finding it hard to hold any longer escaped her lips when his hand moved possessively around her hip and slowly made its way up pausing inches from where she craved to be touched the most.

It was agonizing. How he teased her and made her crave so much when she was fearful for her.

This being on top that she was allowing him to touch her wasn’t normal.

Hell, he could decide to make her his next prey and no one would know what ended her life.

’’Your soul for your rebirth. Your body for your return. Your love for mine. Always.’’

It was satisfying when he moved his hand up enough over her left breast and sunk his fangs deep enough to make her cry.

Both pain and pleasure coexisting as he moved his hand to lean beside her face and sunk his fangs deep enough to make her cries fill the entire space as he claimed her, sealing the agreement between them and strengthening the bond and his mark he carved deeply into her skin.

Be gentle.

His hold around her loosened enough to make her behave and be at rest beneath him until it was over.

The pain she felt was indescribable. It brought fresh tears to her eyes and a deep ache in her chest.

Corrine found herself surrendering slowly to it. Her vision blurred at the sharp pain but still she would never forget the pleasure it brought.

It was beautiful.

She whimpered softly against him when his hands moved in comfort around her. Slowly, he removed his fangs and blood trickled down the two gaping holes it made.

He moved and met with her tired look beneath him.

His eyes now a deep red gold color that blurred and twinkled as she tried to recover from it all.

’’Your soul is mine now, Anais. And I will make this second life worth living for you...’’

She moaned again, deeply this time when his lips met hers and moved softly against hers. It was a kiss she found her entire body relaxing to. It reminded her of that night he first kissed her. She had always craved that feeling and thought she would never be able to feel his affection for her like this again.

’’I promise.’’

A tear trickled down the corner of her eyes when he deepened the kiss, making that promise he made to her even sweeter than when he said it.

What was this feeling?

And why did she wish he never stopped kissing her?
