Chapter 58: Chapter 58 - relaxing day

We finally entered the academy. I looked at Nyx. "Hey, Nyx, does this academy still have room for us? What if someone took our number 1 and 2 positions and occupied our rooms?"

She just shrugged. "We cleared five of the tower floors before leaving for the other five, so no one can surpass us."

"The most important academy test is the tower. We are at the head, so we don’t need to worry about it."

I nodded and looked at my clothes that got torn, so I have to change into new ones and get clean and ask for my kiss. I will have my kiss no matter what.

Nyx walked beside me. She looked tired, so I didn’t tease her. I went to see her off to her doorstep, and despite the dust and blood I gave her a kiss—not on the lips yet, but soon. "I’ll come to claim my lip kiss soon. Goodbye."

Her face turned red. "You scoundrel. I never promised a kiss on the lips."

But before she finished the sentence I went to my room and closed my door.

She stayed on the doorstep, speechless.

Then a subconscious smile appeared on her face, and she wondered what it feels like to kiss for real.

But immediately she shook her head. "Ah, what am I thinking? This must be that scoundrel’s influence."

She went to her room with flushed cheeks.

I entered my room and immediately went to the washroom and took a nice bath. "Aaa, I missed you, my nice bath."

I enjoyed the bath, and all the exhaustion faded away from my body, and I felt like I’m a newborn.

I basically floated to my bed and slept like there’s no tomorrow after changing into comfy clothes.

I don’t know how much time passed. I slept like a log.

Finally after a long time passed I woke up groggily.

Then I went and took another wash and put on my uniform.

I got out from my room and looked at Nyx’s room. Is she still sleeping?

How about I surprise her by breaking into her room and giving her a good morning kiss?

But then I remembered her fist, so I decided to change the plans a little. I’ll give her a good morning kiss some other time.

So I went to the cafeteria for eating something. She must still be sleeping. I’ll just let her sleep more.

I walked toward the cafeteria.

Then I took a plate as usual and filled it up to the brim. After all, I’m still a growing child who needs lots of food.

Then I found a quiet spot and began to eat my meal peacefully. It’s class time, so no one is here. It’s for the best.

After a fulfilling meal I paid with tears in my eyes. My money. I have to wait for my meal ticket.

Then the 50 merit was deducted. I watched that with pain. My hard-earned points.

I looked at my poor balance.

My eyes twitched. "Still too little, but the meal is worth it."

Then with tears in my eyes I went to find Nyx so we can finish the paperwork and enter the tower.

I waited for her in front of her room while trying out my new weapon.

I made a small knife and cut a paper, and it got cut cleanly.

Then I made a sword and tried to swing it. It felt natural, and I made two swords. It’s amazing.

And I made a bow. It’s really easy to make weapons. I only have to imagine the weapon and it creates itself.

Then I got another idea.

So I made a scythe and got an evil idea to go and scare her as the grim reaper.

Then I turned it into different kinds of weapons: hammer, mace, dagger, shield.

It’s amazing. I love it.

Then Nyx finally came out from her room. I looked up at her. "Good morning, sleepyhead."

She glared at me. "Who are you calling sleepyhead?"

I looked around. "Is there anyone here besides you?"

She punched me lightly.

I put on an exaggerated face and said, "Ahh, are you trying to kill me or something?"

She just rolled her eyes.

I said to her, "Let’s go. You look hungry."

She looked at me and asked, "So are you going to treat me to a meal?"

I looked at her plainly and said, "Who is the meal ticket here, you or me?"

Her eyes twitched. "You..."

I ran to the cafeteria. She followed me with a smile.

Then I took a plate. Who said one can eat only one time?

Then I filled it halfway through.

Nyx took a plate and got food as well and came to sit with me.

She looked at my plate, surprised. "Asher, are you feeling unwell or something?"

I blinked and asked, "Why?"

She said directly, "You only took that much."

Then I nodded. "Oh, yeah. This is my second plate. As soon as I woke up I felt hungry, so I came to eat. I didn’t want to wake you up."

"Then after that I waited for you, so now I’m a little hungry, so I took a little food."

Her eyes twitched. "Are you talking? That’s a little?"

I nodded.

She asked, "How long did you wait for me?"

I just casually said, "Ahh, about an hour."

Her eyes softened and she said, "You don’t need to wait that long. If you just knock on the door..."

I grinned at her and said, "I got an idea to wake you up with a morning kiss, but I let it go because I thought you were tired."

"But don’t worry. Next time I’ll wake you up for sure on time."

Her eyes twitched. "You try that and be prepared to get beaten up."

I said proudly, "Don’t worry. It’s only a small price for true love."

A black line appeared on her forehead.

But before she got more angry I put a spoon of food in her mouth. "Don’t get angry at the dining table and waste food."

She just ate it, to my surprise, and I asked, "Ah, do you want me to feed you?"

She looked embarrassed, so she immediately took the spoon and began to eat the food, but I caught the little desire.

I made a mental note to feed her at every moment I get.

I’m going to make a list of things that Nyx likes. After that I’m a winner in life.

I smiled an evil smile.

She just looked at that and put a hand on her forehead.

"Don’t think nonsense here. Do you know where we need to go to report?"

I nodded.

So she asked, "Where?"

I replied casually, "Of course it’s to the principal. We are going to quit the academy. It’s her authority."

Nyx nodded and said, "It’s a miracle you said something that made sense."

I glared at her. "What do you mean? Don’t insult my intelligence. I’m a highly intelligent person."

She just chuckled, and we finally finished the breakfast.

I finished it in seconds.

But I remembered that old woman, so I said to Nyx, "Hey, how about we go and see the person who is in charge of checking the progress of the tower we made?"

She looked at me, confused, and asked, "Isn’t going to the principal enough?"

I nodded but said, "But I promised her when we achieve the 10th floor I’d go meet her before leaving the academy."

Nyx remembered that too, so she nodded. "Hm. That’s nice. Then let’s go. After that let’s meet Miss Selena too."

I nodded, and we went to meet her.

As usual she is buried in a mountain of paperwork. As soon as we entered she looked up.

I waved at her. "Hello. It’s been a while. Do you still remember us, miss?"

She smiled warmly. "Of course, brat. What do you think, I’m gone senile?"

I just muttered, "Who knows."

Nyx covered her mouth, and she glared at me. "What did you say, brat? Do you believe me when I said I can still beat you?"

I just raised my hand. "Yes, yes. I believe you."

She smiled and asked, "So what’s happened, brat? Did you finally win the heart of this girl?"

"If not, you are too slow, brat."

A black line appeared on my head. "Hey, you old... no, miss. I said I take things slowly. A rushed relationship is destined to fall."

"Instead we make a solid relationship that never falls apart."

She just smiled at that, and Nyx intervened. "Is this a love conversation room?"

But we just ignored her and kept talking about my love life with Nyx, and I said I beat a big lizard and made Nyx promise me a kiss.

She laughed and asked, "A lizard?"

I nodded, but Nyx once again interrupted and said, "That’s a dragon."

I said, "No. That’s a lizard."

And the old woman laughed even more at that.

Nyx is speechless because a moment ago she was invisible to the two of us, but now she is fully visible.
