LThen something hit me. "Hey, Nyx, I got a crazy idea I want to try out."

She looked at me deadpan. "Can you tell me when you have a normal idea? Besides, it’s always been crazy."

I coughed and said, "No. This time it’s really a crazy idea."

She just sighed and asked, "What is it?"

I didn’t say anything and made a dark thread, a long one, and spread it across the room and waited. "Don’t attack. Let me test it."

She looked at me spreading dark threads and nodded.

This time too, goblins appeared, but they have equipment.

I waited until they came closer a little, and as soon as they came into range I pulled the dark thread.

It’s attached to the wall, and as soon as I pull them they gain power.

And with the goblins running toward us they got sliced by them. They are extremely thin and powerful because they are made by compressed darkness.

I killed over ten at once.

I looked at Nyx. "So how’s that? Aren’t I the best?"

Nyx just looked at that. "That’s a trap, right?"

I nodded. "You can say that. When I pull them hard it becomes deadly."

She nodded. "That’s a good way to kill them. I’ll take care of the other side. You take care of this side."

I nodded and tried to manipulate them and kill them faster.

Wave after wave came, and I killed them with my threads.

And my side all died, so I got my sword and went to help at Nyx’s side and weaved through them, and soon we finished this floor as well. It’s not much of a trouble because the enemies are weak.

Then we ascended to the next floor, and same routine. We killed goblins, ogres, orcs, trolls, wolves, lizardmen, and many types of monsters. We killed them with minimal problems

while saving our stamina, and now came the hard floors. It’s the 41st. We killed all previous ones with less difficulty. They have their problems, like trolls have fast regeneration and lizardmen are hard to hit because of their agility.

But with our combined ability we killed them all, and our levels increased accordingly as well.

To my surprise, when I became level 50 I got another reawakening like at level 10, and I got the water element. As for Nyx, she got fire.

So our team effort increased again. I use water blade-like spells.

And Nyx freezes them in mid-motion and leaves water on the ground. She freezes them so monsters have a hard time moving.

She began to use her fire element as well.

I looked at her with shining eyes. "Hey, Nyx, can you do something for me?"

She looked at me with a suspicious look and asked, "What is it?"

I pointed at her fire and asked, "Can you make ice fire? It’s so cool. I always wanted that, but I got water."

I grumbled. "I have to make hot water now."

Nyx giggled at that, then she looked at me and nodded. "Okay. I’ll try in the next battle. I think the last nine battles are like the 40th floor boss monster."

I remembered the 40th floor. "Ah, that boss monster. I thought an overgrown goblin or a greedy one like you."

Nyx’s eyes twitched. "Do you have any face to say that? You are the one who devours all the food like you’ve never seen food before. Now you’re talking to me like I’m the greedy one."

I nodded. "Yes. You are the greedy one. Didn’t you remember you stole my chicken leg?"

She sighed. "Are you still on that?"

I nodded at that like a matter of fact.

"Of course. That’s my chicken leg. What do you expect me to do?"

She sighed, and a big rock appeared. I immediately backed down and looked in the direction the rock appeared. There a big troll. It’s massive.

I looked at Nyx. "Hey, what are we going to do? This fat bastard has regeneration, so it’s useless to attack without knowing where the core is."

Nyx nodded and said, "Use your water attack on him. I’ll use your so-called ice fire."

My eyes lit up immediately. I used my water attack on the bastard, a big water strike that spread everywhere.

As soon as it hit, Nyx used ice fire by combining ice and fire. A bright blue-colored flame went there and froze all the water and trapped the troll. I immediately went before the troll got the chance to get free and punched as hard as I can.

The ice cracked and fell down, and with that the troll’s body began to crack as well.

But its regeneration is powerful, so it managed to survive.

I tsked at that and used a dark thread and lit it with fire, then I pulled it as hard as I can.

The troll got slashed in half.

We cut open the troll and tried to find the core, but we failed, and it regenerated again and punched at me. I went flying back and spat out blood. Then I looked at Nyx. She gave me a high-level healing potion, so I drank it and took distance from the troll.

Then I looked at Nyx once again. "Hey, Nyx, we have one choice in this matter. It seems the core is in the head of the troll, so let’s attack it."

We slashed everywhere but found nothing. The only place remaining is the head, but how can a core remain in the head with the brain?

But Nyx listened to me and went.

She made dark binds and bound the troll. Then I went and coated my sword with black flame and plunged it into the head of the troll itself. The full head began to burn, and finally it disappeared.

I fell to the ground and exhaled massively.

"This is no joke, Nyx."

She nodded and said, "Let’s take a break and face the next floor."

I nodded and went to the next floor and sat down and took out food and began to eat. No one is on this floor, so it’s quiet and perfect for rest.

"So we only have to go through 8 floors including this one."

She nodded. "Hm. Let’s do it and let this be finished."

I nodded, and we rested while staying silent.

Then I asked, "So what after this? Are we going to the academy and cash out everything and enter the tower for real?"

Nyx nodded. "We leave for the academy and don’t stay there for long. We return to the tower once again."

I nodded. "Hmm. I’m fully recovered. Let’s go and beat this boss as well."

Nyx nodded and got up as well. "Let’s go."

We entered the room and waited for the boss.

And suddenly we heard a roar, and a massive wolf appeared. With it, lots of small wolves appeared as well. "Hey, it seems to be a big dog."

Nyx hit my head. "It’s a wolf, you idiot."

I rubbed my head and glared at her. "No. Look at it. It’s clearly a big dog pretending to be a wolf."

Nyx sighed and said, "Okay. Let’s kill them. Be careful this time. Our enemy has agility, so make sure you won’t get hit."

"Look at those claws that wolf has. One clean slash and we are finished."

I looked at him and said, "Hey, Nyx, how about we find a big thorn and trick that dog and kill it?"

She just sighed. "You are impossible."

"Use your water attack. I’ll freeze them."

I nodded and aimed a barrage of water spears.

Nyx froze them in mid-motion, and they went fast and hit the wolf.

The main wolf screamed loudly and broke some of the ice.

I concentrated and made a water arc that has much more pressure than before and attacked at them.

The arc went out and cut many of them, and the big wolf jumped at Nyx and managed to injure one of her arms to the point she can’t use it anymore.

I immediately gave her a healing potion from my space storage and went to the wolf with one sword in hand.

I grabbed it in both hands and used dark flame on it.

Then I slashed at the wolf with everything I got.

It left a considerable mark on the wolf’s body, and fire began to burn the wound. The wolf screamed in agony.

The small wolves are mostly dead, but one of them attacked Nyx in her vulnerable state. I went and killed the wolf before it could attack.

That big wolf took the chance and rushed at me with hatred and bit my shoulder. I dropped the sword and grabbed the wolf’s mouth so he can’t bite me to death.

Nyx, with the pain, made her body work and used her sword.

She directly plunged her sword into the wolf’s eye.

The wolf screamed and went back. It had no choice but to let my shoulder go.

The pain is unbearable for it. I took another healing potion and drank it.
