The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend

Chapter 1048 - Advancing to Mesocosm Rank

Absorbing and fully developing the Dark Jurisdiction would take Dark Locust two to three years of divine realm time, which was roughly a day and a half outside. Han Wu could wait that long.

While he waited, he turned to his other rewards. First was Lei Bing’s corpse. Deathblow had caused it to lose every single shred of vitality, meaning he couldn’t turn it into a clone.

Since not even a sliver of Lei Bing’s soul remained, there was nothing for the Netherworld Jurisdiction to restore. All he could do was refine its flesh and extract Divine Essence from it. By Han Wu’s calculations, it could produce at least ten units with the rank of a Major God.

Then came the Forest Clan’s card. When he activated it, three Divine Tree projections appeared before him.

The first was the Fusang Divine Tree, which was somehow both a tree and a blazing inferno, radiating extremely powerful light attribute energy.

Next was the Skyreach Tree. It was tall enough to pierce the sky and brimmed with potent Life Energy.

Lastly was a tree he was familiar with, a World Tree. World Trees absorbed the powers of the world they grew in. This projection could crystalize its host’s power into fruit for other life forms to consume—an approach that didn’t align with Han Wu’s method of raising units.

There were three projections, meaning three choices. Han Wu could pick one as his guardian tree and draw on a tenth of its strength. It was far more valuable than 50,000 Microcosms.

After a few seconds of thought, he chose the Skyreach Tree. Life Energy from the Skyreach Tree flowed into his body, and his power climbed steadily. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before he reached the Mesocosm rank in his regular form.

His Life Jurisdiction also absorbed the incoming Life Energy, increasing its development. By his estimation, the Life Jurisdiction would reach 100% in a year or two. Once that happened, he would be able to make full use of it.

Han Wu allowed himself a moment to bask in the feeling of growing stronger.

Finally, he looked at the two reward selections from his Sacrifice. These came from killing the Lightning God King and Di Hong.

Neither of the two was regular prey, so he greatly looked forward to the options.

He opened the first selection. Three options appeared before him.

[Option 1: Thunder Hammer. Microcosm Divine Weapon brimming with Lightning Energy.]

[Option 2: Thunderfield. Those who have comprehended this technique may use it. The Thunderfield is formed via the Lightning Energy released by units. With it, the user can construct pure Lightning Energy entities based on their existing comprehension and use them for combat purposes.]

[Option 3: Thunder Vanguard. Subcosm life form.]

Han Wu frowned at the three options. This selection was undoubtedly from the Lightning God King. After all, all the options related to lightning! Moreover, none had any affinity with him.

Fortunately, they were compatible with Qin Shuang.

Matching each option to her situation, he eliminated the Thunder Hammer pretty quickly. Qin Shuang already had a Microcosm Divine Weapon, and she didn’t use hammers.

The Thunder Vanguard was a melee bruiser unit with high health and attack that had nothing in common with Qin Shuang’s long-range, high-speed style. Moreover, she was still a Microcosm life form; controlling a Subcosm life form would be risky.

That left the Thunderfield technique. Not only did it pair well with any Lightning units, but it was also quite a versatile technique‌. After selecting it, he sent it to Qin Shuang.

He then checked the second selection, the one obtained from killing Di Hong.

[Option 1: Chaos Energy. Blend multiple elemental energies in a specific ratio to produce a powerful force that can partially counter any elemental attribute. More elements mean greater power.]

[Option 2: Crown of Dread. 9-Star Divine Weapon. When equipped, this weapon will release an overwhelming pressure that frightens most life forms. Ineffective against Subcosm rank and above.]

[Option 3: Divine Spring of Life. Microcosm treasure that summons a spring rich in Life Energy to nourish all living things.]

As Han Wu glanced through the options, he immediately eliminated the Crown of Dread. A 9-Star Divine Weapon didn’t meet Han Wu’s standards, and he already had Dragon Fear for intimidation. The Divine Spring of Life was also redundant with his Life Infusion ability. ℴℴ𝘮

That left the Chaos Energy technique. He had no choice but to accept it. Still, it was an interesting reward.

During his fight with Di Zangtian, Han Wu had felt firsthand how ten elemental Jurisdictions blended into Chaos Energy had suppressed even the Death God King.

While Han Wu didn’t have elemental Jurisdictions, his Conversion Jurisdiction could produce dozens of elemental energies. Mixing them per the technique’s formula produced a respectable Chaos Energy. Although this wouldn’t be as strong as Di Zangtian’s Jurisdiction version, it was at least half as powerful. That was enough to fight Mesocosm opponents.

He practiced the technique and picked it up quickly. It didn’t take long for him to even derive several powerful combat skills from it. With this in his arsenal, his survivability increased yet again.

As he trained, he also absorbed the Skyreach Tree’s energy. A year and a half of divine realm time later, he was a Mesocosm fighter in his base form. Naturally, he was even stronger in his True Holy Dragon Transformation.

He was still a far cry from being a Macrocosm fighter, but he was in no rush. After all, he was young. Time was on his side.

The Skyreach Tree also completed the Life Jurisdiction’s development, and its effect revealed itself.

Han Wu eagerly checked it. Surprisingly, it was Resurrection. If Han Wu ever died in battle, the Life Jurisdiction would bring him back. His survival rate had just skyrocketed!
