Chapter 506: Chapter 473: 28 Seconds

Yun Xiaowu was already a big name at his school. Now, with the beautiful, light-blue-haired Yun Jiao by his side, they were the center of attention wherever they went.

So, when Yun Xiao Liu and the others arrived at the school and asked around, they found them in no time.

Then, Yun Xiaowu got a beating from his brothers.

In the end, they still spent the day having fun at his school and, of course, tagged along to a few of his classes.

This was a sports academy, and since Yun Xiaowu was a swimming major, his classes naturally involved swim training.

Yun Jiao and the others went along as well.

There were other female students there, so Yun Jiao wore a somewhat modest swimsuit and a swim cap.

She had to wear the cap, afraid the peculiarity of her hair would be discovered otherwise.

The coach knew they could all swim, so he just let them have fun on the side.

Yun Xiaowu couldn’t resist showing off his sister. “Coach, don’t underestimate my little sister. She’s an even faster swimmer than I am.”

The coach said, “…Yeah, right. Keep dreaming.”

‘He knew how fast Yun Xiaowu was; the kid had already broken several records. A swimmer like him was a rare find. And his sister is even faster than him?’

‘It just sounds like Yun Xiaowu, the classic doting older brother, is talking big.’

Yun Xiaowu said, “Don’t believe me? Just wait, you’ll see.”

He called Yun Jiao over.

“Jiaojiao, let’s race.”

Yun Jiao was feeling a little off from the smell of chlorine in the pool, but she knew the disinfectant was for everyone’s safety.

Hearing her Fifth Brother call for her, she walked over.

She didn’t think much of it. Her Fifth Brother loved to show her off, so of course she had to play along. It wasn’t like there was any downside for her.

“Okay.”

And so, everyone cleared a lane. The coach’s interest was piqued as well; he was going to see for himself if Yun Xiaowu was just bluffing.

So, he acted as the referee.

As the whistle blew, two figures dove into the water in unison.

“WHOA!!!!”

In just a moment, the pool erupted in a clamor so loud it nearly blew the roof off.

There was no other reason for it. Yun Jiao was just too fast.

And that was with Yun Jiao holding back.

By the time Yun Xiaowu was only halfway, she had already reached the finish line.

The coach: !!!

‘What just happened? Did my eyes deceive me? How did she get to the finish line already?’

Yun Jiao waited for her Fifth Brother to reach the end, then swam back alongside him, her speed just as astonishing.

“HOLY SHIT!!!”

“Is that even humanly possible?”

“So Yun Chenqin wasn’t kidding! His sister really is faster than him!”

“Coach, what’s the time?”

The coach glanced at his stopwatch, then stared at Yun Jiao, dumbfounded. His mouth moved for a good while before he could speak.

“Yun Chenqin, 43 seconds. He broke his own previous record. His sister…”

The coach swallowed hard before finishing, “28 seconds.”

And that was her time *after* waiting for Yun Chenqin. If she hadn’t waited at the finish…

The coach didn’t dare to imagine.

Yun Jiao’s performance couldn’t even be called ‘gifted’. It was downright terrifying!

Is that a time a human can even achieve?!

Yun Xiaowu slicked back his wet hair. “So? What did I tell you? My sister’s faster than me. If she raced a killer whale in the ocean, the killer whale might not even win.”

The coach took a deep breath, his eyes shining as he looked at Yun Jiao.

“You’re Yun Jiao, right? Have you ever considered…”

“Nope.”

Yun Xiaowu answered for her.

The coach glared at him, but he couldn’t care less.

“Coach, don’t even think about it. My sister is in high demand. She’s studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, and she’s really good at it. She’s going to be a master physician one day. Even the military is trying to recruit her.

Besides, if she actually competed, it’d just be a slaughter. This little pool of ours can’t contain her. There’s zero challenge. And other countries wouldn’t want a game-breaking bug like her competing anyway. How could anyone else even play then?”

Yun Jiao nodded. “Thank you, Coach, but I’m about to start college, so I won’t be able to come here.”

A polite refusal.

The coach knew it too, of course. For everyone else, Yun Jiao’s speed was a complete steamroll. Just as Yun Chenqin said, if she really angered other countries, they might just ban her from competing altogether.

Besides, it really wasn’t a challenge for her. Constantly steamrolling the competition would get boring after a while.

In the end, Yun Jiao left under the coach’s lingering, reluctant gaze and went to hang out with her other brothers.

Yun Xiaowu saw his sister off with a grin, but when he turned back, he saw the coach staring at him with a look of utter disappointment.

Yun Xiaowu: ???

‘What’s with him? Why did his expression go from looking at his prized pupil to some useless rich kid?’

The coach pointed a finger at him. “Your sister is that incredible, and you’re her older brother! How come you can’t be more like her?”

Yun Xiaowu gave the coach a speechless look.

“Coach, what are you even thinking? Jiaojiao is the most incredible one in our family, hands down. She’s a master of both books and brawn, you know? She’s smarter than all of us, and if it came to a fight, our entire family combined would be no match for her. It’s completely normal that I can’t beat her, okay?”
