The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 44: He will be my next Alpha mate
"I’ll send a letter to Father Alpha immediately," Cassian said as he rose from his seat.
"Brother, wait. There’s something else I haven’t told you yet," Liliana said.
"Liliana?"
"Brother, there are two more people who are supposed to mark me as their mate here. I found them yesterday."
Cassian sat back down and looked at Liliana again. "Who? Tell me."
Liliana swallowed hard. "I found out about them when we gathered in the hall yesterday."
Cassian reached for Liliana’s fingers, urging her to calm down and tell him immediately.
"Brother... one of them is the person who sat beside you and talked to you yesterday."
Cassian stared at her in disbelief. "What do you mean?"
Liliana nodded. "Vincent Arden, the future Alpha of Pack Arden. He will be my next Alpha mate."
Cassian’s body went rigid for several moments. Viktor had once told him about the witch’s prophecy in the human world. There would be a Luna surrounded by Alphas capable of changing the world of humans and werewolves.
Cassian had never considered it too important because he thought it would not involve anyone close to him. But now?
"Who is the other one?"
"Brother..." Liliana said as she bit her lip.
"Tell me, Liliana," Cassian ordered firmly.
Liliana looked up at Cassian. "Brother... he is the most influential person in the academy besides the Dean. No," Liliana added. "He will become the most influential person in our werewolf world. We won’t be able to offend him. Brother... I’m really scared."
Cassian stared at Liliana in disbelief. His hands tightened around Liliana’s cold fingers.
"What do you mean?" Cassian asked, his face no less pale than Liliana’s.
Liliana nodded again. "He... is the Crown Prince of Morovela," she said carefully. "Leonhardt Sterling."
Boom!!!
Cassian’s mind felt as though it had been struck by lightning. He immediately sank back onto the sofa.
His father had already told him not to offend or have anything to do with the imperial family. But now?
His younger sister, Liliana, a girl who had only recently joined his pack, had a fated mate mark with a member of the imperial family bestowed by the Moon Goddess?
And he wasn’t just an ordinary prince.
He was the Crown Prince of the Empire.
"Brother... what should I do? I’m really scared. I don’t want this mate mark."
Cassian shook his head, clearly unsure how to calm Liliana.
The Draven family had always had a strained relationship with the Morovela imperial family.
"Liliana... I’ll contact Father immediately. Don’t leave your room for the next few days, at least until Father Alpha’s reply reaches the academy."
"I’ll arrange permission for you to be absent from class. Use your power to suppress the urges in your body, understood?" Cassian asked.
Liliana nodded in response. "Brother, I’ll listen to you."
Cassian immediately rose from his seat and was about to return to his room. However, before he could open Liliana’s bedroom door, a knock came from outside.
Both Liliana’s and Cassian’s hearts began beating rapidly.
They looked at each other. After a moment, Cassian nodded.
"Stay calm."
Cassian stepped forward and slowly opened Liliana’s door.
"Excuse me," said a female werewolf standing outside Liliana’s room.
"Is there something you need?" Cassian asked.
The woman blinked several times when she saw Cassian’s face. "Ah... I’m sorry," she said after a moment.
"Miss Liliana bought some groceries this morning. She hasn’t picked them up yet. Is she inside? I just wanted to deliver them."
Cassian looked at the groceries in the woman’s hands before nodding and taking them.
"Thank you," he said.
The woman glanced into Liliana’s room before nodding when she saw Cassian looking at her displeased.
"Ah... you’re welcome," she said before turning around and walking back toward the cafeteria on the first floor of the dormitory.
Cassian carried Liliana’s groceries inside and placed them on the table.
"It’s just groceries. Don’t worry," he said, looking at Liliana, who was still standing stiffly beside the bed.
"Go to sleep. I’ll return to my room and write a letter to Father Alpha."
Liliana looked at Cassian before nodding.
"Don’t leave your room until I tell you to, understood?" Cassian reminded her.
"I’ll listen to you, Brother."
"Mm." Cassian gently stroked Liliana’s hair before walking out of the room.
Liliana quickly locked her door as Cassian had instructed and sat down in her chair.
The striped tiger approached and rubbed its head against Liliana’s arm, trying to comfort her.
Liliana smiled faintly. "You really are an adorable cat."
She grabbed her grocery bags and began arranging everything inside the refrigerator.
"Eat," Liliana said as she tossed a piece of meat toward the striped tiger.
The striped tiger caught it quickly and carried it to the corner of the room, where its food bowl was located.
Liliana carefully placed the meat into her refrigerator one piece at a time.
Although the worlds of werewolves and humans were different, the technological development of both was almost the same. At the very least, it was only slightly behind that of humans.
Liliana’s hand stopped moving when she touched a box at the bottom of her grocery bag.
Strange. I don’t think I bought this this morning.
Liliana carried the box to her desk and slowly opened it.
Inside the box was a silver ring with a golden-colored interior.
Liliana’s brows furrowed. She shook her head and carelessly tossed the box into her drawer.
Her instincts told her it was a gift from one of her Alpha mates.
She quickly lay down on her bed and covered her body with a thick blanket.
Meanwhile, in the room next to Liliana’s, Cassian sat calmly in his chair. His hand moved quickly as he wrote word after word.
After filling three pages, Cassian rose from his seat, opened the window, and called his other raven.
He securely tied the letter between the raven’s legs.
"Fly quickly. Find my father and tell him that something terrible is approaching Liliana."
The raven pecked Cassian’s fingers before tilting its head and flying into the darkness of the night.
Watching his raven disappear into the darkness, Cassian quickly closed the window.
On the highest floor of the academy dormitory, inside a certain room, a golden-haired man with golden eyes stood with a smile on his face.
"Your Highness... should I stop that letter?" he asked.
"No need," he replied. "They have given me a surprise, so I’ll forgive them this time."
He smiled faintly.
"And... perhaps my future Luna is waiting for the reply to that letter as well. How could I let her wait in vain?"
