The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 35: What else is wrong?
The sound of the wind blew softly around the two of them.
However, the expected response did not appear at all.
Silence. Stillness. And quiet.
Liliana stared blankly at the man in front of her.
"Why?" Xavier asked after a few moments.
"Isn’t this the phrase used by Alphas when they reject their Lunas?" he added inwardly. "Did I leave out some words that were supposed to be there?"
Xavier nodded. "I’ll repeat it once again," Xavier said as he looked at Liliana.
"I, Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Draven as my Luna," he said firmly.
After several minutes, there was still silence. There was still no response that either of them had expected.
Xavier swallowed his saliva. He had never been this ridiculous before. He couldn’t even reject a Luna he didn’t want.
Liliana blinked as she stared at Xavier. "Why hasn’t our bond been severed? Stop fooling around. Quickly say the command again," Liliana said, her body still trembling as she endured the desire surging through her body after coming into contact with Xavier.
Xavier stared sharply at Liliana. "Do you think I have time to fool around?" he asked.
"I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Draven as my Luna..."
Still silent.
Xavier adjusted his sitting position before saying again, "I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Draven as my Luna..."
There was still no response.
"Damn! Is there something wrong with my sentence?" Xavier asked.
"That’s right. Your name. It must be because your new family name, Draven, hasn’t been accepted by the Moon Goddess," Xavier said, trying to convince himself.
Xavier gripped Liliana’s shoulders tightly.
"I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Forst as my Luna..."
Cricket... cricket... cricket...
There was still no response from either of their bodies. There was no pain or punishment like the one Xavier had expected when the rejection left his mouth.
"Damn!!!" Xavier cursed. He ran his fingers through his red hair before looking back into Liliana’s eyes, which were now also staring at him.
He nodded again. "That’s right. It must be because of our position."
"We have to stand when we sever this bond."
Liliana nodded, the desire in her body now surging even more intensely.
Liliana immediately stood up and followed Xavier’s instructions.
"I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Forst as my Luna..."
"I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Draven as my Luna..."
Xavier repeated the words over and over.
Still silent. Nothing answered the process of severing this bond.
"Ahhh!!!!" Xavier cursed before immediately turning his back to Liliana.
He slammed his head against the tree in front of him.
"Damn! What is wrong this time?"
"Didn’t I already try all these methods? Is there still something else that’s wrong?"
Liliana finally sat down behind him. She could no longer endure the pheromone stimulation surging through her body.
"Silver, what’s going on? How can Xavier not reject me? Is something wrong?" she said. "Didn’t Adrian and Alaric reject me in exactly the same way? Is there something different?" she asked.
Silver inside Liliana’s mind curled up, enduring the Veromon within both her body and Liliana’s body, which were interconnected.
"Liliana... this is the first time I’ve lived. I don’t know what’s happening either. Ask him to think and try to find another way. He’s the future Alpha of Pack Laurent. It’s impossible that he doesn’t know how to reject his own mate."
Liliana nodded. She looked up at Xavier, who was now also desperate.
"Xavier... quickly find another way. You’re a future Alpha whose abilities are equal to Cassian’s and far greater than Adrian’s and Alaric’s. You must know, don’t you, how to reject your own Luna?" she said softly.
Xavier was about to curse. The wolf inside him kept growling loudly, forcing him to mark Liliana as his Luna immediately. And now this girl, Liliana, even dared to compare him to Cassian, Adrian, and Alaric?
Xavier’s trembling fingers finally stopped moving. He quickly turned around.
"That’s right. I have to take you under the moonlight. The Moon Goddess must witness for herself that I, Xavier Laurent, truly want to sever this bond."
Liliana looked at Xavier as he approached her, then nodded.
"Can you run?" Xavier asked.
"We have to hurry. Deep within this forest, there is an empty clearing where the moonlight shines directly over the entire area. We have to get there as quickly as possible before the night changes, before this mate bond makes me even crazier," he added.
Liliana nodded. She stood up and tried to transform into her wolf form, but before she could do so, her body collapsed again.
Liliana finally shook her head. "Xavier, I can’t. My wolf is also almost losing control."
"Tsk!" Xavier exclaimed in annoyance.
This was what he hated about a Luna chosen by the Moon Goddess. Weak and useless.
Xavier quickly transformed into a red-furred wolf with a sturdy build.
"Quickly, get on my back," Xavier said a few moments later.
Liliana took a deep breath, then nodded and hurriedly climbed onto Xavier’s back.
Xavier growled softly as Liliana sat on his back.
A low howl escaped his mouth before he shot forward, heading deep into the forest.
Along the way, Liliana’s body began trembling violently as it reacted to Xavier’s wolf scent.
She bit her lip tightly, forcing herself to suppress the moan that wanted to escape.
Her lower body throbbed whenever Xavier’s body shook as he carried her while running.
Xavier could feel all of it. His breathing grew heavier. His wolf body was in direct contact with Liliana’s lower body, making him lose control even more. Every movement between their bodies was an unmistakable torment for both of them.
Xavier shook his head again. He increased his strength and quickened his pace so they could arrive before night changed.
It took a full three hours for him and Liliana to reach the place Xavier had mentioned.
"Get down," Xavier ordered.
Liliana nodded and immediately climbed down from his wolf form.
Xavier quickly transformed back into human form and pulled Liliana toward the center of the empty clearing in front of them.
"I, Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Draven as my Luna..."
"I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana Forst as my Luna..."
Xavier said the words repeatedly, his breathing heavy after running at high speed to reach this place.
However, after a few moments, there was still no response.
The mate mark binding the two of them was still clearly present between them.
"Damn! Damn! Damn!" Xavier cursed. "What else is wrong?" he asked.
"Moon Goddess, I don’t like Liliana. I already have someone I want as my Luna. I... Xavier Laurent, reject Liliana as my Luna..." he said desperately while looking up at the moon above him.
