The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 34: I, Xavier Laurent, reject you
Leonhardt Sterling walked toward the dean’s side with calm steps, showing no sign of being in a hurry.
"Dean?" he said as soon as he reached him.
The dean gave a slight nod. "I am addressing the future Alpha King of the Morovella Empire."
Leonhardt waved his hand. "I came to this academy with the identity of a student, not as the future Alpha King. Stop being so formal," he said, without seeming to give anyone permission to act disrespectfully.
Arrogant! Truly arrogant. That was what could be seen on his perfect face.
The dean gave a low smile and nodded.
"Is there anything you would like to say as a welcome to the returning students of Mirena Academy?" the dean asked.
Leonhardt nodded. He walked toward the center of the stage. His hands were folded behind his back. His golden eyes quickly swept over every student in the academy before stopping on Liliana for a few seconds.
Only a few seconds. No more.
A smile appeared on Leonhardt’s lips.
It instantly made all the women in the hall blush.
"It’s nice to meet all of you," he said. "Take good care of yourselves in the future. Because there may be someone targeting you," he added in a mysterious voice.
Cassian frowned but didn’t say a word.
Viktor had warned him not to approach, mingle with, or even openly speak about the members of the Morovella Imperial Family.
The Draven family had no ability to deal with them.
The students’ crisp applause rang through everyone’s ears as Leonhardt stepped back and sat in the seat in the same row as Cassian.
"All right," the dean said a few moments later. "Classes will not begin today. You can familiarize yourselves with the conditions of this academy. Welcome, and I hope you have fun," the dean added.
Crisp applause once again rang through everyone’s ears, sending the dean and the academy teachers out of the hall.
Leonhardt stood and left before anyone else, without looking back or speaking to the future Alphas beside him.
"Really arrogant," Vincent said. "Cassian, hasn’t your family fallen quite far because of the imperial family?" he asked without thinking.
Cassian glanced at him for a few moments before standing and immediately leaving the hall.
"Tsk! He’s really impossible to talk to," Vincent said.
He quickly hurried out after Cassian as the wolf within him began going wild again because of Liliana’s scent.
The hall slowly emptied. One by one, the students walked out until only a few occupied seats remained.
Liliana lowered her head and stared at the floor beneath her feet.
Her heart was still pounding. Very hard and fast.
"Silver, what’s wrong with me?" she asked hesitantly. "Why... me?"
Silver growled lowly.
"Liliana, they are our mates."
Liliana shook her head. "Silver, how can I have more than one Alpha? No. It’s not just two this time."
Liliana shook her head again. "I have to return to my room immediately."
"My body wants their touch. I can’t let the humiliation from the past happen again," Liliana said in a low voice.
Liliana immediately stood from her seat and hurried toward her dorm room.
The dormitory hallway was still crowded, making it difficult for her to get through the crowd and reach her room quickly.
Liliana gripped her clothes tightly. "I have to hide. Right. Anywhere. As long as I stay away from the crowd, everything should be fine."
Liliana turned around and walked toward the academy forest.
It was a place that students often avoided. It was a place filled with wild beasts ready to kill anyone who entered carelessly.
Liliana shook her head, then nodded, convincing herself.
"You mustn’t lose control, Liliana," she said. "Everything will be fine after a while. I just need to endure it."
Liliana entered the forest again. She didn’t stop at the edge of the forest. Her feet continued carrying her deeper into it.
She had to get away, as far as possible, until she found a place that could at least contain the surge of pheromones bursting through her body.
After feeling that she had gone far enough, Liliana dropped her body beneath the roots of a large tree.
She leaned against them and curled up. Her fingers continued gripping her clothes tightly. She bit her lip hard, holding back the moan that wanted to escape.
"Silver, this is so strong. What should I do? This is much stronger than when I felt it with Adrian and Alaric."
Tears gathered at the corners of Liliana’s eyes. She endured the reaction of her body, which was beginning to torment her.
She wanted touch. The touch of her Alpha mates.
Silver inside Liliana’s mind could do nothing. Her body and Liliana were one. She wanted her wolf mates!
The wind in the forest blew gently, making Liliana’s body tremble even more.
She curled her body tighter. Both hands gripped her legs tightly, preventing her body from doing something beyond her rational control.
Werewolves had strict physiological rules. Every werewolf who had found their Alpha mate had to immediately unite and share their Veromon aura.
If this was not fulfilled, only one thing would happen. They would lose control and seek touch from another werewolf, or they would soon die because their Veromon would explode from not sharing it with their life mate.
Liliana squeezed her eyes shut.
"Brother... please help me," Liliana said desperately.
The wind suddenly blew rapidly around Liliana for a few moments, forcing her to open her eyes.
In front of her, a red wolf was staring at her before transforming into a human.
He gave a low smile as he looked at Liliana, who was now lying there with a miserable expression.
"You’re hiding here? My Luna?" Xavier said as he stepped closer to Liliana.
He lowered his head and reached for Liliana’s long black hair.
Liliana’s body trembled when Xavier’s hand touched her hair.
"Go away!" she said.
"You want to see me when I’m this desperate? You want to make me your entertainment? Before rejecting me as your mate?" she asked.
"Damn!" Xavier cursed with a grim expression. "How can your scent be this intoxicating?" Xavier said.
Xavier had never lost control like this before. Wanting something that did not come from his own mind.
He grabbed Liliana’s shoulder, forcing the girl to look at him.
"Wasn’t being rejected by your two previous Alpha mates enough? Now you want my rejection too?" Xavier said.
Xavier’s body slowly began to tremble as he restrained his overwhelming desire to mark Liliana as his mate immediately.
Xavier shook his head as he looked into Liliana’s desperate eyes.
"I’ll grant your wish. I, Xavier Laurent, reject you, Liliana Draven, as my Luna," he said in a trembling voice.
