Chapter 3506: Do Not Care For Ants
Chapter 3506: Do Not Care For Ants
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook as Rui leaped away in the face of boundless destruction, his expression grim while his eyes sharpened with severity. His body ached with extraordinary pain while the Dragon Emperor charged towards him at great speed and momentum, creating tsunamis around the world with just the power of his charge.
His claw surged towards Rui’s neck, all but destined to decapitate his prey.
In that moment, a single whisper escaped Rui.
“Temporal Disharmony.”
Lord Shenlong froze as the world sped up in his eyes. The ocean currents, the destruction he unleashed along the ocean floor, the movements of his own body, and the evasion of his opponent.
All of these events sped up in his perception of time, happening faster than he could react.
WHOOSH
Rui leaped away, barely managing to evade the powerful attack as he cast a powerful hypnosis on his opponent. And yet, his expression darkened considerably even as Weaving Blood rushed to heal his body.
’If I hadn’t used Temporal Disharmony there, I would have died.’
It was a sobering realization.
Despite being in an environment antithetical to him, the Dragon Emperor was a force to be reckoned with. It spoke to the sheer battle power that the dragon normally had. He was worthy of being included among the top ten most powerful beings in the world, without a doubt. What Rui found to be especially unfortunate was the fact that he was forced to use his Hypnomatrix in a moment where he couldn’t maximize its impact on battle.
He normally saved much of his Martial Art to use it at the most effective moment he possibly could. He was especially eager to save his Hypnomatrix to use it to gain an undeniable advantage since the true world was unfamiliar with Martial hypnosis, but he was forced to use it to save his life.
He already knew that even an invintium armor would not protect him against the Dragon Emperor’s claws, which were made from a radioactive isotope of invintium that was somehow even more indestructible than regular invintium.
He had considered using his exotic pluripotent matter to copy it, but he couldn’t use that substance because of how radioactive it was. Unlike the Dragon Emperor, whose body didn’t consume radiation for a living, he would quickly be poisoned with it and succumb right then and there.
“What is this…?” The dragon murmured with a frown as he gazed at the world around him. “The world… is growing faster and faster. What kind of witchcraft is this?”
Rui remained silent as he allowed the Dragon to take his time getting used to the Hypnomatrix, allowing Weaving Blood to heal the damage that he had taken. Normally, Weaving Blood merely took an instant to heal even serious damage, but at the depths of thousands of kilometers below sea-level, the sheer pressure that pressed against his body from the outside and the sheer pressure that he generated to counter it from the inside meant that his healing was severely hampered.
Unfortunately, the same wasn’t true for the Dragon Emperor. As impressive as Rui’s healing was, his healing couldn’t compare to the actual cutting-edge biotechnology of a highly advanced technological civilization. The worst part was that Rui hadn’t even harmed him all that much in the brief moment where he had an advantage in battle before the Dragon Emperor unleashed his gamma radiation.
“You Martial Artists are… fascinating,” the Dragon Emperor admitted as he closed his eyes. “But these tricks… will not allow you to defeat me. If you have slowed down my perception of time psychologically, then I need only speed it up neurologically. My brain is a product of biotechnology, just as every other part of my body.”
Rui’s eyes widened as he felt deep changes in the dragon’s mind with his mind sense. He could sense the mind of the dragon growing more and more powerful, more and more energetic.
The Dragon Emperor spontaneously accelerated the processing of his mind to counter the Hypnomatrix that Rui had cast on him.
His eyes opened with a frenzied bloodlust and a triumphant vindication.
WHOOSH!
With a single flap of his wings, he charged towards Rui faster than he had ever before, his claws swinging at Rui’s neck yet again.
WHOOSH
Rui twirled lightly, evading the death blow before his fist surged towards the Dragon Emperor’s body.
He used the power of a myriad of techniques, ranging from even the simplest ones like Outer Convergence to more powerful principles like yin-yang vibrations, all empowered by a partial Soul Retcon.
It was a blow of tremendous power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The impact permeated deep as he leveraged Death’s Sympathy to penetrate fast the invincible armor of the dragon, inflicting wounds on the flesh within.
And yet, what should have been a crippling blow to virtually anybody else was merely one that caused the Dragon Emperor to stir with just the slightest hint of pain, launching his powerful tail to crush Rui where he stood.
WHOOSH
Rui summersaulted away, just barely evading a tremendously destructive blow of great power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
RUMBLE!!!
The extraordinary attack caused even greater fissures to erupt across the ocean floor, spreading far and deep as the faintest light of magma and lava slowly began to glow from deep within the cracks. And yet, even as Rui’s expression darkened, the Dragon Emperor grew more vindictive in his delight of being able to evoke such grave severity from his opponent.
“If you care too much for the ants that litter the ground, you will never be able to walk, Rui Quarrier.”
The Dragon Emperor’s rumbling voice was chilling.
The intensity of his yellow, reptilian eyes reflected the conviction of his words.
“Do not hold back. Unleash your full power. Unleash it without a care for what happens to any of the ants of the seven species.”
The pitch-black darkness within Rui’s eyes stirred as he remained silent.
And yet, the Dragon Emperor did not intend to give him much of a choice.
“If you are unwilling to go all-out, then I will push you to the brink of death until you do.”
RUMBLE!!!
The Dragon Emperor charged with a ferocious velocity, threatening to crush him with the sheer momentum of his body alone.
