Then Mom announced, "The battle now begins. Both sides, step up, one candidate with his or her proxy partner."

Before she even finished, two sets of people stepped up.

I looked at Amy. "Hey, this isn’t doing. Let’s step up."

Amy looked at me with amusement. "Hey, who is the one who challenged for succession, me or you?"

I thought for a moment and said, "You... but staying here, how are we going to establish dominance? We can’t just win by default. We need to crush others. That’s how we show others not to mess with us."

Then we watched as the battle was about to end. It was a one-sided onslaught.

Amy nodded. "Hmm, it seems so."

"It’s alright. Lava is no problem. We have Ice Affinity."

"How even did that guy lose?"

I just rolled my eyes. "Just because you’re a genius doesn’t mean everyone else is."

Then I saw others just observing the situation, determined to enter the battlefield.

I tugged at Amy’s arm. "Let’s go. This is the moment for us to shine. I want to see that lava. I need to find out what it’s like to be hit by lava."

Amy’s eyes twitched. "You brat, don’t you dare get injured. I will beat the hell out of you."

"Go and defeat the opponent and come back unharmed."

I nodded. "Hmm, I’m way more powerful than those, and did you forget my physique and Eclipse? Even if I get a massive injury, it’ll disappear like it never happened."

She sighed again and said, "That’s not the point. Okay, okay, let’s go."

So Amy stepped into the duel ground.

Amy laughed at that.

Then Amy said, "You have a better chance at defeating me than defeating him. He is a freak at getting powerful. If we’re at the same rank, I don’t have any confidence in defeating him."

Aric spoke again and said, "So I presume I fight your brother then, huh? I haven’t heard many things about him."

Amy just shrugged. "He likes to be lazy."

Then I asked, "So I presume you are around my age. You want to come at me first, or should we wait for Amy to crush her opponent?"

Amy just laughed a little. Even I looked down on them.

The branch family was pissed because of our arrogance, but they didn’t have anywhere to go. They could only hope their children could go and defeat us.

I just waited for his reply.

He just sneered and didn’t take my bait.

Then he entered the duel ground, and I took Eclipse and went there as well.

I heard from behind, "Good luck from Luna."

I looked at her and smiled. "You got it!"

I looked at him and unsheathed my sword.

Then the referee asked if we were both ready, so we nodded.

Then the match started.

I looked at the massive lava wave coming at me. The normal action would be to block it with an Ice Wall.

But I just used Devour and absorbed it all.

Some little droplets fell onto me, but my Space Barrier worked like a charm.

Then I looked at him. "Go on. I don’t want to end this too soon."

His composure cracked. "You arrogant..."

I just smiled and said, "Hmm, okay, okay. Don’t get angry. If you don’t want me to attack you..."

I used Space Aura on my sword and cut an arc in the air. The Space Arc directly went toward him. He just sneered and used an Ice Barrier. He thought it was an Aura attack.

But the Space Arc cut through the Ice Barrier and almost cut his arm.

He avoided it and looked at me with bloodshot eyes before rushing towards me.

He came closer and threw lava at me to burn me.

The Space Barrier stopped them, and his eyes widened.

I grinned at that and threw a punch coated in Abyssal Energy.

It hit his stomach, and he was thrown back like a broken doll.

Amy smiled as I returned to her side.

"Ahh, that was boring."

Amy’s eyes twitched. "You monster, why did you hit that hard?"

I blinked innocently and said, "Isn’t it? I’m doing all of this for your sake. If I didn’t hit harder, they would later get ideas and come to mess with us. You’d have problems, so I hit a little hard so they don’t forget it."

"There’s a saying: pain is the best teacher."

Amy’s mouth twitched violently. "You..."

Then she sighed. "You are impossible to handle."

Then Amy looked at Aric, who was on the floor and bleeding.

Then she sighed, and people came and got him to medical attention.

The branch family gave me hateful glares. I just looked at them and smiled widely.

Then I looked at that bastard who had his eye on Luna, as if saying, ’Next is you.’

He didn’t back down. He looked at me with a challenge. I liked it.

If he backed down, I’d have to go after him.

Then the match results were announced, and I won. The secondary opponent came to the arena.

Amy nodded and went.

Luna stood there with a sour face.

I looked around and saw only Mom and a few others paying attention to me, so I teleported to Luna’s side.

"Why do you look so down, Luna? Do you need an orange juice?"

I offered it. She just grabbed it and huffed.

I blinked, and I heard sister Elena say, "She is just sour because she didn’t get to fight in this."

I looked at her, and her thoughts had been exposed. She just looked away and drank the orange juice. I just laughed at that.

"How about I fight with you after this?"

She just huffed. "It’s no fun like fighting with a new opponent."

I just smiled. Then she asked, "So why are you here?"

I smiled at her and said, "I felt the sourness to the arena emanating from you, so I came to take a look. And Amy got this match. Even in this succession, I don’t think anyone can take her on."

Elena just smiled. "Hmm, that’s natural, but don’t underestimate others. Do you know why only a portion of people came to participate in the Secret Realm?"

I wondered as well. At the time, I saw many powerful figures at my engagement banquet, but none of them participated in that.
