The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess
Chapter 504 - 502: Has Raphael Gone Yandere?
Master Rose must be nearby!
Raphael’s gaze burned with intensity as she casually tossed the corpse of the woman toward the volcano.
She recognized this woman as the Desire Witch from the Tower of Descent, possessing the abilities of ’love’ and ’desire’ like the Love Witch.
In essence, she used potions to stir emotions and desires within people.
Raphael cared nothing for these witches.
She was here because she felt the sudden presence of Rose.
This was different from the summoning within the volcano.
Sensing Rose’s aura in the volcano only meant the summoning ritual worked.
And right now, the summoning array had long been destroyed due to the turmoil on Dragon Island.
Feeling Rose’s aura all of a sudden, even faintly sensing his intent, meant only one thing.
The summoning array had successfully released him!
But it seemed it wasn’t a complete success.
Raphael believed that if Rose were free, he would surely appear before her.
Raphael’s gaze burned with thick longing and yearning as she murmured to herself, "Master Rose, you must be watching me, right? If you can, could you give me more guidance? Where are you sealed, and how can the seal be broken? Please tell Raphael, I will definitely, definitely break the seal for you, even if it requires sacrificing my life, I am willing..."
Of course, Rose heard her, and precisely because he feared she would recklessly dive into the abyss, he dared not truly appear before her.
Rose helplessly watched Raphael searching all around.
After thinking it over carefully, he once again sent out his intent, conveying a sense of reassurance.
The next second, Raphael appeared in front of Rose, and if Rose weren’t incorporeal, she might have crashed right into his embrace.
"Right here! Master Rose, you must be here!"
Raphael looked around.
Rose watched speechlessly as she sniffed around like a dog, her nose positioned right at his chest.
"Has this girl turned into a yandere?" Rose pondered deeply.
The next second, he was outside the city, observing the seven-tier battle.
The one battling Erina was Ashugar.
However, Ashugar’s tier was not ten, but... seven.
His appearance was unfamiliar.
Rose understood what he had done.
Ashugar was with him the longest; during the conquests of Starfall Continent, he fought tough battles and made significant contributions. At the time of the pantheon invasion, he was undoubtedly among the most tenacious resistors; surviving until now wasn’t easy, and over the long years, like Alina, his vitality gradually wore out.
Alina was sent to be frozen by Faruga, suspending her life, while Ashugar chose otherwise, deciding to continue roaming the continent, slowly exhausting his limited lifespan.
In the end, he chose to use the descent art, transferring his soul to a new body and restarting his cultivation, gradually reaching tier seven.
This was why he couldn’t withstand Raphael’s presence.
Rose’s expression was complex; Ashugar’s goal, like Raphael’s, was to summon him.
However, Ashugar chose another extreme, colluding with heretics, and what he truly intends isn’t clear yet, but Rose could guess—
For the Main God Divine Format potentially hidden among the heretics.
Nonetheless, aiding the heretics for the sake of obtaining a divine format, even if his intentions were good, was something Rose still disliked.
What infuriated him more was allowing the heretics to extract Alina’s blood.
All for summoning him at the cost of harming his friends and causing countless innocent lives to vanish, how is that any different from heretics?
Rose watched Ashugar and Erina, maintaining a cold expression.
Their battle was precise, not a hint of magic power leaking.
Despite that, the explosive aftermath of their clash still made the array on Dragon Island fluctuate and gradually crumble.
Ashugar’s goal was merely to hold Erina back from entering the city, not to fight earnestly.
If a real battle between tier-seven mages broke out, the fallout would utterly destroy Dragon Island in no time.
Erina seemed impatient, yet as Dragon Island’s guardian, he dared not casually employ high-destruction spells—also known as forbidden arts.
Boom!
With a roaring sound, both retreated.
Erina glared at the apparition before him, enraged, "Who are you? A mage from the Tower of Descent?"
"No."
"Then why aid the Tower of Descent?"
"I’m merely helping ensure the Fire Spirit absorbs enough flesh and blood."
"Are you trying to..."
Understanding what the Fire Spirit lacked, Erina’s fury surged.
His assaults became increasingly frenzied.
Their clash made the array shield flicker incessantly.
At last, with a slight crack, the shield completely shattered.
Rose looked up to the sky.
Above in the sky, volcanic ash hadn’t yet descended.
Even though the Fire Spirit absorbed much of it, the remaining was still enough to bury Dragon Island.
Dragon Island’s array and the ’funnel’ containing the volcanic ash were one, once the bottom broke, the top naturally lost its restraint.
Erina’s expression changed as he rushed up, unfurling endless glaciers to absorb all the volcanic ash, preventing it from falling onto Dragon Island.
Ashugar did not stop him; he merely watched, turning his attention to Dragon Island’s interior.
Seeing figures still lingering on the island’s square, he hesitated, his eyes narrowed.
Sensing the not yet entirely dissipated magical fluctuations, he understood.
"Raphael, you..."
"All sacrifices, what harm is there in exchanging one life for a thousand?"
Raphael’s voice came.
She didn’t appear.
Ashugar’s expression was shadowed, obscured from view.
After a moment, his form flickered, arriving outside the volcano, observing the battle overhead.
Originally, it was the Moon Witch distracting Dragon Island’s high-tier mages, allowing the Desire Witch to perform magic.
But now, with the deaths of the Desire Witch and Love Witch, merging into one, the remaining...
Ashugar watched the battlefield, murmuring to himself, "The Tower of Descent has lost two high-tier mages and cannot afford to lose any new ones, or their gods might abandon them altogether; the last sacrifice..."
Pondering this, Ashugar suddenly noticed an elderly figure, eyes narrowing.
"Pera? Honorary Dragon Speaker of the Blue Dragon Empire... no, wasn’t she with Raphael as well? Never mind."
He shook his head, and then entered the volcanic region.
Being a tier-seven mage, his movements naturally wouldn’t be disturbed by a tier-six mage. Yet Erina, ever-attentive to his movements, saw him heading for the peak, immediately knowing his intent, and shouted in anger, "Dare you!"
Massive glaciers encased the volcanic ash, forming a giant ’meteor’ that mercilessly crashed toward Ashugar heading for the peak.
