The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess

Chapter 505 - 503: Feasibility of Controlling the Fire Spirit

The ice ball, wrapped in compressed volcanic ash, smashed down fiercely.

Ashugar did not face it head-on, quickly halted his advance, then ran to the side.

The ice ball meteor struck the ground before him, aiming to block his path and prevent interference with the Dragon Rider Corps’ pursuit of the Moon Witch.

An attack of this size is generally difficult to hit mages of the same tier.

Boom!

The ice ball meteor shattered upon hitting the ground, causing a cloud of volcanic ash to rise and cover the forest on the mountainside entirely.

Fortunately, those inside had already been torn apart and absorbed by the Fire Spirit, avoiding the risk of being crushed to death.

No one knows what the struck zone looks like.

The impact wave from the shattering directly blew apart the walls built around the volcano.

Thankfully, with the walls as a shield, the houses behind them were not affected; only a handful collapsed, and most remained habitable.

The shockwave spread not just into the city but even affected the clash at the mountaintop.

The overwhelming magic impact caused a brief pause in the battle between the Dragon Rider Corps and the Moon Witch.

The Moon Witch was not in good condition.

She currently faced two Tier Six Mages and several Tier Five Mages.

As a vast empire, the Blue Dragon Empire’s foundation is not just this.

However, due to Erina’s presence, the other Tier Six Mages were occupied with various matters and did not join the assault on the Moon Witch.

Out of the two Tier Six Mages, one was the most promising and strongest among them.

This lineup was luxurious enough.

Guy looked at the Moon Witch before him and smirked coldly.

He didn’t even see how he could lose!

"Surrender, Moon Witch. The Tower of Descent made quite the move this time, sending out three of the four witches. But do you think a few mages can stir up trouble on Dragon Island?"

Though the Love Witch and Desire Witch were not killed by the forces of Dragon Island but by a mysterious mage passing by, the actions of that mage were enough to aid Dragon Island.

Even without that mysterious mage’s help, the forces of Dragon Island could handle the witches of the Tower of Descent.

"Surrender?"

The Moon Witch glanced at Erina, who blocked Ashugar below, and chuckled lightly as moonlight appeared on her body.

"As the strongest Tier Six Mage under Erina’s command in the Blue Dragon Empire, is this all you can do?"

Guy frowned, feeling the troublesome nature of the special moonlight attribute magic.

It’s already so powerful during the day.

If dragged into the night, they might not be able to restrain her.

Guy spoke deeply, "As far as I know, the moonlight magic is a powerful and mysterious school, and you are the sole moonlight mage of this era. You are truly wasting your talents at the Tower of Descent. Join Blue Dragon, and we will offer you the highest treatment."

"Heh."

Moonlight magic released slowly.

Seeing this, Guy spoke fiercely, "Don’t hold back, kill!"

Boom, boom, boom!

The crater engaged in battle, and the mountainside echoed with the struggle as well.

The fight stirred up a lot of dust, solid rocks shattered into powder, and volcanic ash churned like an ocean of clouds.

Fortunately, all high-tier mages possessed absolute control over magic, directing spells at their target without leakage, utilizing them efficiently.

Even after striking, parts of the aftermath were collected and caused additional damage.

Yet, despite this, the volcano was plowed over repeatedly, the mountaintop sheared off layers, and the slope turned into cliffs.

Rose crossed over the mountainside, passing two Tier Seven Mage’s combat, and slowly ascended towards the summit.

Soon, he arrived at the top, standing before the Fire Spirit.

He observed the Fire Spirit, pondering.

"Fire Spirit, born from Bathing Fire Essence, absorbs Molten Fire to grow; once a very rare magic pet, it can be slowly cultivated to display strong fighting power, mastering fire attacks, immune to fire damage, and granting its owner fire enchantment, boosting fire attribute attacks by 20%... The only downside is its high growth requirements, initially needing Molten Fire and later Bathing Fire Essence for advancement..."

Rose shook his head.

"However, this Fire Spirit has changed from the traditional ones; newly born, it has absorbed the flesh and blood of two Tier Six Mages, countless other souls, magic power... oh, and even Abyssal Demonic Qi, accepting everything without exception."

Truth be told, Rose was curious about how Erina used the Fire Spirit to complete the ascension trial 100 years ago.

But now, he didn’t desire to watch.

By absorbing the flesh and souls of numerous creatures, the Fire Spirit was no longer pure; possibly unable to develop even the consciousness of ordinary animals, it could only become a more advanced spiritual object.

"Yet, there is an advantage; by absorbing two Tier Six Mages, and even absorbing a Fire Spirit from another Tier Six Mage during cohesion, it can attain power far surpassing ordinary Tier Six."

If not for the huge gap between Tier Six and Tier Seven, three Tier Six Mages might synthesize into Tier Seven.

Regrettably, it can only synthesize to a Tier Six limit, unable to reach Tier Seven.

Unless two more Tier Six Mages join.

"Regarding magic puppet contracts, it’s a lost art in this era, hence treating the Fire Spirit by forcing a sacrificial way, making it overdraw all future possibilities for Tier Six limit power, and then trying the ascension trial?"

"Thus, in this state, could the Fire Spirit perhaps... transform into a magic pet?"

Rose was intrigued.

Then he reached out his hand, letting strands of Spiritual Power gradually penetrate the Fire Spirit, which was still absorbing magic elements.

What he now did was use Spiritual Power to enter the Fire Spirit and construct a contract more advanced than a magic pet - the Divine Pet Contract.

When naturally born magic pets are just born, while the opponent hasn’t developed consciousness, secretly making a contract so when they develop a consciousness, the first thing they see is the contractor as the owner, considering them more loyal than regular magic pets.

Though it somewhat resembles bandit behavior, it’s the fate of naturally born various spirits, meeting summoners fond of collecting pets offers better treatment compared to living freely while being constantly hunted, always on the run.

Besides humans, these spirits also significantly attract magical beasts.

"But this Fire Spirit has been tainted by all kinds of things, losing purity with no future, perhaps lacking even metabolism, with its energy fixed at birth, later activities consuming power, until exhausted, disappearing instantly."

Rose shook his head.

After entering the Fire Spirit with his Spiritual Power, he fully understood its condition.

He also confirmed that the Fire Spirit, impacted by the souls of Tier Six Mages, cannot develop consciousness or soul, becoming akin to a magic puppet’s spiritual object.

"Indeed, during the magic puppet era, everything aimed at creating magic puppets."

The fighters did not notice the Fire Spirit hovering quietly above the crater, absorbing the magic power they released as it underwent some transformation.

Within its body, complex and mysterious runes emerged faintly, involved directly in its body’s every action.
