The Darkness System: Rise of the Broken Sovereign
Chapter 340: Asura’s Womb Carnage
Kael moved first.
Blinding speed—CRACKLE—his body becoming a streak of dark light. His gauntlet fist, coated in aura, Slaughter Intent, Wrath Intent, and condensed demonic mana, rocketed toward Draxos’s jaw. The Asura Demon met his fist with one of his own—BOOM—the collision sending a shockwave that cracked the chamber walls.
But Draxos’s hand cracked.
CRACK.
Draxos’s eyes widened, his knuckles splintering under the combined force of Kael’s Asura Demon Transformation, his Mid Tier 5 Void Body Refinement, and dual intents. The physical gap that had existed between them in the Void Realm—the gap that had allowed Draxos to dominate Kael in close combat—was gone.
Before Draxos could pull back, Kael threw his fist forward again. His left hand opened and Star Pull activated. Gravitational force latched onto Draxos’s massive frame yanking him forward, canceling his retreat. Draxos stumbled, his weight working against him as gravity dragged him closer.
Kael’s right fist, the gauntlet blazing with Aura Amplification, drove into Draxos’s stomach—BOOM. The impact was catastrophic. The Impact Nullification absorbed the recoil while the Aura Amplification doubled the output. Draxos’s exoskeleton armor caved inward, his body folding around the fist. He was launched—WHOOSH—crashing through the chamber wall—CRASH—tumbling through a corridor before slamming into a load-bearing pillar—BOOM—which cracked from the impact.
Then Kael felt it. A powerful shockwave spread through the building coming from the surface of the asteroid base.
Kael spread his soul sense—PULSE—two hundred meters of perception sweeping outward through the base’s structure, reaching the surface. What he found made a smile spread across his face beneath the Fiend visor.
Cassandra.
She was fighting one of the House of Crimson’s Origin Realm cultivators, her gravity manipulation crushing the man’s defensive formations one by one. Blade No. 10 and Blade No. 12 engaged the garrison, their Supreme and Late Origin Realm presences overwhelming the defenders.
Kael’s smile widened.
"WHAT ARE YOU GRINNING AT, YOU BASTARD?!"
Draxos appeared above him—WHOOSH—his true demon form surging with Wrath Intent, his descent aimed at obliterating Kael’s skull. His fist, wreathed in dark red energy, came down like a meteor.
Thunder God Flash Kael’s perception accelerated. Time didn’t slow, but his processing speed tripled. He saw the fist coming, calculated the trajectory, and moved his head two inches to the left. The fist grazed his Fiend visor—SCREEE—sparks flying.
Kael raised his hand. Lightning Claw—CRACKLE—five arcs of blue-white electricity infused with Demonic Asura Fire lashed outward from his fingertips. The purple-black lightning caught Draxos across the chest tearing through his exoskeleton, burning the flesh beneath—SIZZLE.
Draxos jumped back landing on the far side of the corridor. His Body Manipulation activated, his form expanding further. Four extra arms burst from his torso making it a total of eight arms, each one forming a bone saber dripping with demonic energy.
He charged—WHOOSH—all eight sabers descending in a coordinated barrage.
Kael brought out the Shadow Slayer blades meeting the first two sabers, the Blood-Iron Alloy drinking the demonic energy on contact. The remaining six sabers came down toward his waist, Kael pushed himself upward with a burst of Demonic Asura Flame from his feet—FWOOM—propelled into the air above the blades. He twisted mid-flight, his leg coated in Fiend armor and Wrath Intent connecting with Draxos’s face—CRACK—the kick snapping the demon’s head sideways.
Draxos recovered quickly—TURN—his regeneration already healing the cracked jaw. But Kael didn’t give him time to counterattack. A soul blast—FWOOM—condensed spiritual energy struck Draxos between the eyes—BOOM—shaking his consciousness, staggering him.
"Sky Rending Technique, Fourth Form: Void Split."
The Shadow Slayer blades blazed with Slaughter Intent, Wrath Intent, Demonic Asura Fire, darkness, and lightning fusing into a single, devastating slash. The attack erupted—FWOOOM—a wave of condensed destruction that tore through the air itself, distorting space, creating a vacuum in its wake.
The Void Split struck Draxos dead center—SCREEEE—tearing through his exoskeleton armor, through his flesh, through the wall behind him, through the corridor beyond, and through the exterior wall of the base. Draxos was sent flying—WHOOSH—launched through the breached wall and out into the open void of space, his body tumbling through the vacuum.
Kael stood at the breach. The void of space stretched before him. Draxos’s body floated in the distance, his regeneration already working his wounds closing, his exoskeleton reforming.
Kael’s back surged with dark energy. A pair of wings materialized—HUMMM—dark, angelic, beautiful. The wings spread wide, each one spanning four meters, their edges leaving trails of dark fire in the air.
Kael stepped through the breach and flew—WHOOSH—into the void of space. The cosmic vacuum pressed against him—cold, airless, hostile. But his Void Sovereign Physique generated a passive aura field that maintained atmospheric pressure around his body, and his rule power coated him in a protective layer that deflected the killing forces of space.
Draxos healed completely. His dark red eyes found Kael floating toward him. The demon’s own wings spread, massive, bat-like, armored with bone plates. He coated himself in demonic rule power, creating a protective shell against the void.
"Good," Draxos said, his voice carrying through the vacuum via demonic energy transmission. "Very good. You even possess the Wrath Intent." His dark red eyes gleamed.
Kael rushed forward—WHOOSH—his wings propelling him through the void with explosive acceleration. His Shadow Slayer blades led the charge.
Draxos fired multiple bone spears from his body twelve projectiles launched in a spread pattern, each one trailing demonic energy. Kael dodged, his wings adjusting his trajectory with fluid precision, gravity manipulation assisting his movements. He wove through the bone spears like water through rocks, the projectiles passing harmlessly past his form.
Kael closed the distance—WHOOSH—his blade descending. Draxos blocked with a bone saber—CLANG—the impact sending both fighters recoiling slightly in the zero-gravity environment.
Then Draxos formed a hand seal. His eight arms wove complex patterns, demonic mana condensing around his body in layers. He murmured, his voice carrying through the void with ominous weight.
"Let the weak be rendered. Let the flesh be remade. In the crucible of Wrath, all bodies are mine to break."
Kael rushed forward—WHOOSH—his blades blazing.
Draxos murmured, "Reality Annex: Asura’s Womb Carnage."
FWOOOM.
The domain erupted.
Space itself transformed. A fifty-meter sphere of reality was overwritten by Draxos’s domain. The void of space disappeared, replaced by a nightmare landscape. The ground beneath them became a sea of pulsing, living flesh—SQUISH—reddish-pink tissue that contracted and expanded like a breathing organ. Jagged bones jutted upward from the flesh sea forming twisted spires and grotesque pillars. The sky—where vacuum had been—bled a thick, dark red downpour of boiling demon blood. The blood rain fell, each drop scalding hot, steaming as it struck the living ground.
Massive, disembodied Asura arms materialized in the domain—HUMMM—eight-armed silhouettes made of condensed demonic energy. They floated in the dark red space like specters of ancient gods, their hands open, their fingers reaching toward Kael. Each one radiated Wrath Intent so dense it distorted the air around it.
The atmosphere itself became a weapon. The air was heavy with Wrath Intent that just breathing inside the domain filled the lungs with corrosive, rage-inducing demonic energy.
Kael stood in place. He stopped his charge. His Spirit Eyes activated—GLOW—the enhanced perception dissecting the domain’s structure.
His frown deepened.
The domain was layered. The flesh sea was a trap—anyone standing on it would be slowly absorbed, their body broken down by the living tissue.
It was a killing domain. Designed to break the body, corrupt the mind, and devour the soul.
Draxos stood at the center of his domain, his true demon form radiating power. His dark red eyes blazed with absolute confidence. His arms spread wide, embracing his creation.
"Welcome to your doom," Draxos said, his grin stretching across his face.
