The Billionaire's Heir I Never Knew Was Mine

Chapter 290: You Are So Heartless!

"Miss Jessica, you’re still a stranger to me. So, I think we’re not close enough to discuss my personal matters."

Jessica’s face tightened immediately.

Sienna could see the tension and anxiety spreading across her expression, but she didn’t care. If Jessica had come here with her bodyguard, expecting her to willingly and openly explain her marriage, she had clearly taken her as an easy-to-intimidate person. Well, she couldn’t be more wrong.

"Please, just answer my question," Jessica said, her tone now pleading. "I just want to hear it from you."

Her eyes began to redden, but Sienna knew it wasn’t because she was about to cry. The redness in Jessica’s eyes came from the anger she was struggling to contain. Her fingers were tightly clasped together in her lap, and the smile she had been wearing earlier was completely gone.

Sienna took a deep breath. She was beginning to understand that no matter how many times she avoided the question, Jessica would continue pressing her.

Instead of answering directly, Sienna reached into her pocket and took out her cell phone. She unlocked it and calmly dialed Zachary’s number.

Jessica watched her with growing confusion, but Sienna didn’t pay much attention to her. She pressed the speakerphone button and set the phone on the table between them.

Jessica’s eyes widened as she stared at the phone. "Hey! What are you doing? Who did you call?"

Sienna didn’t answer her.

The call connected. A familiar, warm voice came through the speaker immediately.

"Hello, my love. Are you done with your work?"

The moment Zachary’s voice filled the air around them, Jessica’s face turned pale. Her eyes widened, and all the confidence she had been forcing herself to maintain disappeared. She stared at the phone as if she had just heard something she had desperately hoped wasn’t true.

Sienna quietly watched her reaction, and she couldn’t deny the satisfaction she felt as she saw the shock on Jessica’s face.

This woman had come here demanding confirmation from her, but now she would receive her answer directly from Zachary himself.

Then, Sienna casually leaned back in her chair, her expression calm as she looked at Jessica. She didn’t need to say a single word. Zachary’s affectionate voice had already answered the question Jessica had been so desperate to ask.

"Honey, I’m not done yet," Sienna replied with the same affection, keeping her voice warm as she spoke to him.

"Oh, do you want me to come over so we can have lunch together? I’m not far from your place..." Zachary said. His voice was gentle, with a hint of concern.

Sienna couldn’t help but enjoy the parade of emotions playing across Jessica’s face. It was almost funny to watch.

How amusing. Jessica had come here so confidently, demanding answers. Yet now she was forced to listen to the affectionate conversation between Zachary and Sienna.

Sienna tried her best to hide her amusement. On the outside, she stayed calm and composed, but inside, she laughed at Jessica’s reaction.

"I’d love that too..." Sienna paused briefly before continuing, deliberately keeping her voice sweet. "Oh right, Honey...someone is here. She wanted to ask you something."

"Someone?" Zachary’s voice rose slightly, making it clear that he was surprised and curious. "Who is there with you?"

"Her name is Jessica Simmons. She wanted to know whether I was really married to you or not," Sienna said casually. Still, the moment she mentioned Jessica’s name, Jessica’s face turned crimson. Sienna glanced at her before continuing, "Can I tell her about it?"

There was no hesitation in Zachary’s response. "Why does an outsider doubt that you’re my wife?"

Hearing Zachary speak so naturally about their marriage warmed her chest.

"I know, right? I’m confused too."

Sienna was so engrossed in her conversation with Zachary that she temporarily forgot Jessica was sitting opposite her.

"My love, you can tell anyone who asks you, and you don’t need to wait for my permission," Zachary continued gently.

Sienna’s smile widened. Those were the words she had long awaited to hear him say publicly in front of his ex-girlfriend, and it brought her joy.

"All right. She has already heard you, so I’ll hang up now," Sienna said, her tone becoming lighter.

"Okay. I’ll come pick you up," Zachary replied, his voice sounding even softer. "See you soon, my love."

"See you soon."

"I love you, Sienna."

"I love you too, Zach."

Sienna casually ended the call and placed her phone back in her pocket. She then leaned back in her chair and looked at Jessica as if nothing unusual had happened.

She remained completely relaxed, but the moment she met Jessica’s intense stare, she was slightly taken aback.

Jessica was looking at her so sharply that Sienna almost felt as if the woman could burn a hole through her with nothing but her eyes.

’Geez, this woman might actually kill me with that glare,’ Sienna thought, suppressing the urge to laugh.

"You are so heartless. Cruel!" Jessica said coldly.

Sienna was speechless for a moment. She honestly couldn’t understand how Jessica could accuse her of being heartless after coming here and questioning her marriage. To her, Jessica was being incredibly hypocritical.

"Miss Jessica, I don’t understand what you mean," Sienna replied, pretending to be clueless. "You asked me whether I was married to Zachary, right?"

Jessica didn’t answer. She just kept staring at her with a tense expression, filled with emotions she was clearly struggling to control.

Sienna ignored her glare and calmly continued, "Well, I wanted to answer you, but I was afraid you wouldn’t believe me. That’s why I called my husband, so you could hear the answer directly from him. I thought that would be enough to settle your doubts."

Jessica opened her mouth as if she wanted to argue, but for several seconds, no proper words came out. She finally managed to say, "You!"

Sienna could see that Jessica was angry, but she had already been patient enough. Whatever relationship Jessica had once shared with Zachary was none of her concern. However, Jessica had crossed a line by coming to her workplace and demanding an explanation about her marriage.
