"See how miserable I am, not favored by my mother-in-law, almost lost my life."

Despite her smiling expression, Sienna Johnson felt a strong sense of sorrow from Kathryn’s words.

"Paige..."

Paige Desmond prevented Sienna Johnson from speaking, "You don’t need to comfort me, I’m fine now. Although I was in a car accident and almost lost my life, I finally left the Imperial Palace.

If this is the price to pay for leaving the Imperial Palace, I think it’s worth it."

Sienna Johnson said, "...It’s good to separate. You and Kiya haven’t remarried; so much time has passed, and Kiya hasn’t called even once. It’s probably the Grand Empress forcing him not to be with you.

There are many good men in Orienta. If you find a suitable one here, your brother and I will protect you."

Paige Desmond looked at Sienna Johnson and smiled brightly, "Alright, if there’s a good one, I’ll marry."

"Paige, you’ll be happy."

"I will be, even without a man, I’ll be very happy," Paige Desmond said confidently.

No one can truly understand her feelings. To her, leaving the Imperial Palace, anywhere is paradise.

...

Mr. Harris’s funeral was completed gracefully.

George had no reason to stay, and Aria Harris insisted on taking George away, while George refused to go no matter what.

The mother and son had argued several times.

"George, have some self-respect, will you? They don’t even like you; why are you clinging to her rear all day?" Aria Harris’s sharp voice pierced through the wall.

"..."

"I’m embarrassed for you!"

Sienna Johnson was holding Claire on the swing, hearing Aria Harris, she couldn’t help but furrow her brows.

She was about to get up and leave when she heard Aria Harris continue, "George, let me tell you, even if Curly agrees to marry you, I won’t agree... If you marry her, with that bad temper of hers, what good days will you have in the future?"

"Why must I get your consent to marry whoever I want?"

"Because I’m your mom!"

"Even though you’re my mom, you can’t interfere with my freedom to marry."

Sienna Johnson sighed, unable to understand George’s persistence; such a young child, already considering marriage.

"Let me tell you, tomorrow we’re going back to Abyanabad. Whether you leave or not, I’ll tie you up and take you back!"

"..."

"Isn’t it embarrassing to stay at someone else’s house and not leave?"

Sienna Johnson left with Claire, unwilling to listen any further. Sienna Johnson had to consider Paige Desmond’s words.

Paige Desmond’s experience reinforced Sienna Johnson’s initial thoughts.

Aria Harris doesn’t like Curly; why should she and Adrian Desmond’s precious daughter endure the hardships of the Hunter Family? Even if she doesn’t get married, she and Adrian Desmond will support her for life.

This deteriorated mother-in-law relationship not only leads to grievances but also endangers lives.

Sienna Johnson couldn’t bear her precious daughter being wronged.

So, the day George left Sileria City, Sienna Johnson didn’t go to work; she took Curly to the amusement park to prevent them from meeting.

Sienna Johnson thought, a child’s affection would fade as they grow up.

...

George came to say goodbye to Curly, only to find out Curly had gone out.

"Kathryn, where did Curly go?" George looked like he was about to cry, which made Kathryn feel very sympathetic.

"Curly was clamoring to go to the amusement park, so Madam took her to the amusement park," Kathryn explained.

"I told her I was leaving today, yet she went to the amusement park?" George was heartbroken.

With grandfather gone, his mother wouldn’t return to Sileria City either, and he’d have no excuse to come back.

Such a precious moment, Curly didn’t wait for him.

"Which amusement park did she go to? I’ll go find her," George said, unwilling to give up.

"I don’t know either."

"Then I’ll call her."

George took out his phone to call Curly, but he couldn’t get through; he tried calling Sienna Johnson, and still couldn’t connect.

"What’s going on? Why isn’t anyone answering the phone?"

Aria Harris checked her watch, walked over and said, "It’s almost time, if we don’t go to the airport now, we’ll miss the flight."

"Just wait a bit!"

"Even if I let you stay another day, you wouldn’t leave. Let’s go, stop dawdling, they don’t want to see you off; can’t you stop being so self-deluded?"

Aria Harris picked up her son and headed towards the car.

George kept looking at the Johnson Family’s gate, hoping Curly would suddenly appear, but she didn’t.

George didn’t throw tantrums, but his eyes were watery, as if holding back tears. Kathryn sighed watching George.

In the car, George kept looking back; he wanted to see Curly, to tell her to wait for him, that he’d come find her when he grew up.

He also wanted to tell her not to like other boys.

Owen Hunter looked at his son, patted his head, feeling sorry for his son’s plight, "Stop looking, Curly’s still at the amusement park having fun, hasn’t returned."

"Dad, I don’t want to go back to Abyanabad."

Owen Hunter looked at his son, softly saying, "Your grandfather passed away; we have no reason to keep you here. Even though your Uncle Desmond and I are good friends, we are not family. George, you need to understand us.

You have parents, yet you live in someone else’s house. What would people think of us?"

"Can’t you just give them my living expenses?"

Aria Harris angrily said, "Your parents are still alive; you’re not an orphan! Wait until your dad and I pass away, then talk about it."

Owen Hunter was dissatisfied with his wife’s tone, "Speak properly."

"Because I like Curly; she’s so good, so many boys like her. If I don’t stay close to her, what if someone snatches her away?"

Aria Harris fiercely poked George’s head, scolded, "Are you even my son? Can’t you have a bit of ambition?"

Owen Hunter protected George, said to his wife, "My son’s mature early, realizes early, likes girls, so what? It’s not a big deal."

"If George really marries Curly, that’ll be marrying a little ancestor home to be worshipped. Can’t hit, can’t scold, Adrian Desmond isn’t easy to deal with; won’t my son be bullied all day?" Aria Harris said selfishly.

"I’m willing to be bullied by her!"

Aria Harris angrily glared at her son, said to Owen Hunter, "Make him shut up; I don’t want to talk to him."

Upon reaching the airport, George realized he was about to leave Abyanabad for good, and wouldn’t see Curly anymore. Head down, he wiped his tears.

"Alright, alright, big boys don’t cry; it’s so embarrassing."

George looked at his dad, sobbed audibly, but without unreasonable tantrums refusing to leave; he knew very well that his parents wouldn’t change their minds due to his crying.

"Stop crying, it’s truly embarrassing!" Aria Harris wiped her son’s nose.
