The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 1229 - 1169: Where There Are People, There Will Be Comparisons

No matter how things were before, Adrian Desmond is a good father, he often takes the kids on short trips.

Curly was already used to going wild with Adrian, and recently staying at home was getting boring. With a summer camp coming up, how could she miss it? She urged the whole family to go out and play.

Pauline Briggs knew Sienna Johnson was planning to take the twins out, and she was definitely against it. "Leave them at home, I can take care of them just the same. They’re so young, what if they get sick?"

Samara, holding Claire, also looked reluctant, "Yeah, my classes aren’t busy lately. I can skip them for a while and stay home to take care of the twins."

"Aren’t you about to take your college entrance exam? I remember when I took it, I barely had time to sleep. Sileria University isn’t easy to get into, you have to work hard," Sienna said.

Samara’s grades were good, and getting into Sileria University shouldn’t be a problem.

"I can definitely get in."

"We’ll wait for your good news next year then."

"Hmm."

They drove three cars, two with bodyguards, and several kids with Adrian in a spacious RV. Adrian had thought of everything; Sienna was really worried about the babies suffering in the wilderness with them, but with this well-equipped RV, the trip was indeed much more convenient.

Curly was beyond excited, "Grandma, Auntie Agatha, you guys are so long-winded, I’ll take good care of the twins."

"..."

"Mom and Dad, let’s go, if we don’t leave now, it’ll be too late."

Pauline wouldn’t believe her, "You just take care of yourself."

"Grandma, don’t you want to eat mushrooms? I heard from my teacher there are a lot of mushrooms in the mountains. I’ll pick some and bring them back for you."

"Sweetie, don’t pick them at random, many mushrooms are poisonous." Pauline reminded Sienna, "Don’t eat random things outside, food poisoning would be troublesome."

"Mom, I got it."

Under Pauline’s repeated instructions, the group set out in a majestic manner.

Along the way, Curly was very excited, Sheehan looked out the car window, constantly amazed.

The family was wearing matching outfits, all beige with cartoon patterns. Claire sat on her dad’s lap, poking the Donald Duck on his t-shirt.

There were about a dozen families participating in this summer camp. Originally, everyone was supposed to go together on the school bus. Not sure how Adrian negotiated with the teacher, but they went separately.

At the foot of the mountain, the school’s bus had already arrived.

When they got out of the car, Sienna saw some familiar parents chatting there.

Some of Curly’s usual playmates, seeing Jayce Johnson arriving, enthusiastically shouted, "Jayce, over here, over here..." Jayce’s little friend stood there, waving to Jayce.

Curly held Sheehan’s hand and waved back, "Coming, coming..."

George still closely followed Curly; everyone was long used to the way George and Curly interacted.

Rowan asked, "Curly, why didn’t you all take the bus together?"

"There are so many of us, we drove here ourselves."

Felicity looked at their RV enviously and said, "Wow, it’s awesome, your family actually has an RV."

"The RV was rented by my dad, it’s not ours."

Felicity said, "Then can I ride with you guys on the way back?"

"If your parents agree, of course, you can."

Felicity was beautiful, and her parents were afraid something would happen to her, so they were very strict. Felicity thought about it and was a bit disappointed, "Ah, my parents think everyone in the world is bad, so they’ll definitely not let me ride with others."

"Hmm, there are indeed many bad people in this world. Felicity, you’re so pretty, you really have to be careful."

"But you’re even prettier than me, and I don’t see your parents being so worried."

Curly had at least five bodyguards with her, the ones she knew about at least, and her parents were no less worried than Felicity’s parents.

"Sigh... being too pretty is a burden!" Curly sighed.

While some kids chatted there, other kids’ parents chatted on this side.

Albert’s mom saw Sienna Johnson and asked, "I heard you had another pair of twins?"

"Yes."

Felicity’s mom said enviously, "You can’t even tell you have four kids, your figure is still so good. If you didn’t say, no one would think you’ve had kids."

"I recovered pretty well."

Albert’s mom never liked Sienna Johnson. When she first met Sienna, she was a single mom. Incidentally, she was also very pretty, and Albert’s mom had gossiped with others that she was someone’s mistress, having had an illegitimate daughter.

Later, when Adrian appeared, she stopped talking.

"Isn’t there family planning? Aren’t you afraid of being fined for having so many kids?" Albert’s mom asked sharply.

Sienna Johnson said, "The kids’ dad is from Abyanabad, and they don’t enforce family planning there, so they can have as many as they want."

Albert’s mom wouldn’t let go, "But if he’s from Abyanabad, how come Jayce can enjoy mandatory education? I remember that’s only for Orienta citizens."

Sienna, seeing Albert’s mom always targeting her, didn’t argue and calmly said, "Jayce is an Orienta citizen."

Sheehan is an Abyanabad citizen, and the twins are too young, they haven’t been registered yet, so they’re temporarily without official status.

"Isn’t your husband named Adrian? Why does your daughter have the last name Johnson? Jayce isn’t your child with your current husband, right?"

This was simply ridiculous. Of all the kids, Curly resembled Adrian the most. Standing together as father and daughter, it was obvious Curly was Adrian’s child.

"When I had Jayce, it was a difficult birth, and my husband felt bad for me, so he let Jayce take my last name." She didn’t mention that Adrian had married into her family. If Albert’s mom knew about that, who knows how much gossip she’d spread.

Felicity’s mom quickly smoothed things over, "Sienna, you’re really lucky to have found such a good husband."

Sienna smiled and didn’t reply.

Albert’s mom snorted and didn’t say anything further.

Just now, Claire had wet herself, and Adrian changed her diaper and carried her over, so he didn’t hear anyone bullying his wife; otherwise, Albert’s mom would’ve been in trouble.

Felicity’s mom looked at Claire, amazed. Their daughter Felicity was beautiful, but Claire was even prettier.

"Is this your daughter?"

"Yes."

"She’s so pretty..."

Claire was afraid of strangers, and seeing an auntie wanting to hold her, she started crying. Felicity’s mom chuckled and said, "This child is very cautious. Unlike our silly girl, who would go to anyone when she was young. Her dad and I were always afraid someone would kidnap her."

Albert’s mom added, "Felicity is called generous and elegant, unlike this one, so petty and inexperienced."
