However, capturing a Ghost Unit with this Magic wasn’t a guaranteed success. The outcome depended on the strength of the Ghost’s will to resist, as well as the difference in level between it and Lynch.

But he was only halfway through his incantation.

The Ghost’s Soul Body suddenly began to tremble violently. Its aura surged as streaks of ghostly light pulsed from its core.

Lynch’s brow furrowed, and he couldn’t help but curse inwardly.

’By the looks of it, the Ghost is concentrating all its resentment to launch a final soul attack, trying to take me down with it.’

He had no intention of taking this last-ditch counterattack head-on.

His mind racing, his chanting faltered for just a moment before quickly resuming.

The light of the nearly formed [Soul Imprisonment] changed, transforming directly into another spell.

[Soul Harvesting]!

This was a more offensive spell, one that directly ripped apart and siphoned the very essence of a soul.

Of course, he was only able to do this because the first half of the incantations for both spells were identical; otherwise, he couldn’t have switched Magic on the fly.

As if slashed by an invisible blade, the core of the Ghost’s Soul Body was violently torn to shreds!

Lynch, however, didn’t think much of it.

His Spiritual Power was inherently strong, and these Soul Skills were particularly effective against Ghosts. A result like this was only logical.

He immediately extended a wisp of his Spiritual Power, pulling the [Soul Crystal] from midair into his hand.

This wasn’t the application of some telekinetic magic, but simply a direct manipulation of objects using his own powerful Spiritual Power.

The crystal was cool to the touch, and he could clearly feel the abundant Soul Energy it contained.

"Looks like we’ve got a ’haunted house’ on our hands," Lynch murmured, weighing the Soul Crystal in his palm. He glanced at the fragments of the Bone Valor on the ground, then at the dismantled core of the Teleportation Gate, and fell into thought.

This Ancient Elf ruin undoubtedly held immense value, but it was also accompanied by many unknown risks.

"My lord... should we reassemble the Teleportation Gate?" the goblin Jinke asked cautiously, cradling the stone disk core.

"Do it." Lynch made his decision instantly. "Jinke, Sea Song, reinstall the core and activate the Teleportation Gate. Aus, go get Avril."

"Yes!" the group answered.

Although they were a little nervous, having witnessed how cleanly and decisively Lynch had dealt with the Ghost, they all felt more confident about a controlled exploration.
