Shen Yanzhi closed the distance in a single stride, blocking Jiang Li’s path. He asked in all seriousness, "Then what do I have to say to keep you from being so angry?"

Jiang Li was at a loss for words. She wasn’t actually angry, after all—just a little unsure of how to face him.

After all, while they were intimate in bed, they had basically no close contact outside of it.

Just as Jiang Li was about to lose her temper, Shen Yanzhi spoke again. "Well, you *are* my wife, after all!"

Jiang Li let out an exasperated laugh. "Shen Yanzhi, how have I never realized how shameless you are?"

Shen Yanzhi grinned. "Too late to find out now. We’re well past the seven-day, no-questions-asked return period."

Jiang Li was stunned by his complete lack of shame. ’So, has Shen Yanzhi been possessed?’

If someone had told her before that Shen Yanzhi had a shameless side, she would have never, ever believed them.

But now the proof was right in front of her, leaving her no choice but to believe it.

It was one thing to be shameless, but he was also being cheeky.

Jiang Li closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then, she reached out and pinched Shen Yanzhi’s face. "Shen Yanzhi, if you’ve been possessed, blink."

The corner of Shen Yanzhi’s mouth twitched. ’So,’ he thought, ’is there really any point in continuing this course?’

’My own wife is starting to wonder if I’ve been possessed?’

’This is a huge problem!’

Meeting Jiang Li’s suspicious gaze, Shen Yanzhi cleared his throat and explained, "I haven’t been possessed. I just felt my personality wasn’t very charming, so I found a workshop for it."

She suddenly leaned closer to Shen Yanzhi and demanded, "Or... is there someone *specific* you want to like you?"

Shen Yanzhi’s Adam’s apple bobbed. They were too close. So close he could smell the scent on her.

The two of them stood frozen as the atmosphere suddenly grew charged. Jiang Li was the first to look away.

Her eyes darted around before finally landing on Shen Yanzhi’s Adam’s apple.

’A bobbing Adam’s apple!’

Driven by curiosity, Jiang Li couldn’t resist reaching out to touch it.

Shen Yanzhi grabbed her wrist, a smile in his eyes. "Darling, if you keep touching me like that, we won’t be making it to the mall anytime soon."

Jiang Li narrowed her eyes. "Oh? So I’m not allowed to touch you now?"

A dark glint flashed in Shen Yanzhi’s eyes. "You can touch." But there would be a price.

Hearing this, Jiang Li pulled her hand free from his grip and touched his throat again, feeling his Adam’s apple bob beneath her fingertips.

’You know,’ she thought, ’this is actually kind of fun.’

One second she was giggling to herself, and the next, the world spun as Shen Yanzhi pinned her against the wall.

The kiss grew increasingly fierce.

Jiang Li felt breathless.

She thought about struggling, but the difference in strength between them was too great. Besides, she was actually enjoying it.

She shot Shen Yanzhi a venomous glare before turning on her heel and bolting.

If she stayed a second longer, she was afraid she’d be drowned by the flood of their gossip.

Seeing her run, Shen Yanzhi quickly gave chase, calling out, "Honey, wait for me!"

’He hadn’t wanted this to happen either,’ he thought. ’But what was he supposed to do when Jiang Li provoked him like that, with no regard for where they were?’
