Synthetic Wizard
Chapter 561 319: Three Types of Mechanical Life
"Though the Truth Council prohibits conflicts between wizards, as you know, the council itself is a loose organization with limited control over True Spirit Wizards, not to mention many True Spirit Wizards already have enmity with each other."
Upon hearing Maisy's words, Sunan nodded understandingly.
Not to mention the endless enmity between the Lawful Faction and the Black Wizards, even wizards within the same faction are not entirely united—conflicts are inevitable.
True Spirit Wizards can temporarily set aside their hatred for mutual benefit and unite, and naturally, they can also break ties for benefit and brazenly make a move.
It's not much of a problem within Wizard Town, but outside, away from the Truth Council's vision, one can eliminate all adversaries without worrying about future troubles.
Under such circumstances, faced with the temptation of law nodes, few True Spirit Wizards can resist.
The same reasoning applies to the Divine Spirits.
This is why neither Divine Spirits nor True Spirit Wizards concentrate their forces to compete for temporary law nodes.
In a situation of intrigue and discord, everyone fears being backstabbed.
As they traveled, the four chatted casually, giving Sunan more understanding of the state of the realm of truth.
"Beyond here is the buffer zone; we must be extremely cautious to prevent ambushes."
Maisy's expression became slightly more serious.
Morick and Ortis also looked solemn, their bodies glowing faintly with the light of law.
Sunan observed them carefully, guessing that Morick and Ortis must be mastering Elemental Series laws.
Morick with the Hurricane Law.
Ortis with the Flame Law.
As for Maisy, she hadn't demonstrated her powers yet, so Sunan couldn't tell.
Once in the buffer zone, the four ceased talking. Instead, they cautiously sensed their surroundings, searching for traces of law nodes.
This search lasted for over half a month.
Though many days passed without discovering any law nodes, Maisy and the others remained composed.
Finding temporary law nodes is a matter of luck; it's not unusual to have years, even decades, with no results.
Being in the unique environment of the realm of truth, their understanding of the laws could improve continuously without intentional practice, so it wasn't a waste of time, and Sunan wasn't worried.
Interestingly, perhaps due to the unique environment, Sunan was surprised to find the core of laws deep within his Sea of Consciousness seemed much more active.
Even the rate at which high-energy law power seeped in accelerated significantly.
"At this rate, in just over two years, I should have fully converted all my law power."
Sunan nodded to himself.
Just then, Maisy suddenly spoke up:
"Let's search for two more days, then we'll return to Wizard Town."
The other three naturally had no objections.
The realm of truth covers an immense area, with the buffer zone alone occupying a fifth, much larger than the Starlight Continent.
But all four were True Spirit Wizards, and their search speed could be described as fast as lightning.
In over half a month, they've searched almost everywhere in the buffer zone where temporary law nodes weren't present, making further search pointless. It was better to return, practice for a while, and come back.
However, on the second day of their search, Sunan suddenly sensed a strong law fluctuation, halting abruptly.
Maisy and the others were drawn by Sunan's actions, and Maisy asked with a tense expression, "What's wrong?"
Sunan concentrated his senses for a moment, then replied strangely, "I think I discovered a law node."
Being his first time, he wasn't sure if his perception was accurate.
Upon hearing this, Maisy and the others exchanged glances.
In their senses, there were no obvious law waves in the surrounding area.
Morick hesitated, saying, "We didn't sense any law fluctuations."
At this point, Maisy's expression changed, glancing at Sunan deeply, and asked, "Sunan, what laws do you master?"
Asking a True Spirit Wizard about their mastery of laws is quite intrusive.
However, considering the likelihood of future battles together, Maisy and the others would eventually know what laws Sunan mastered, so he didn't intend to hide and confidently replied:
"Gravity and Thunder."
Hearing this, Morick and Ortis's eyes widened in surprise.
"Dual laws!"
Maisy revealed a knowing expression and said with a sigh:
"No wonder."
"True Spirit Wizards mastering dual laws have a perceptual sensitivity and range towards law fluctuations far beyond those mastering a single law."
"In the realm of truth, wizards like you who master dual laws can often detect law fluctuations before us."
Morick and Ortis exchanged a glance, their eyes flickering with a hint of joy.
Their intent in inviting Sunan to join their team was to care for him as seniors and make a friendly connection with this genius, but they hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise.
With a wizard mastering dual laws in the team, searching for law nodes becomes much more convenient.
Moreover, a True Spirit Wizard mastering dual laws, even if recently advanced, has battle power comparable to that of many True Spirit Wizards who've been advancing for centuries or even millennia.
At least Morick and Ortis didn't have full confidence in defeating a newly advanced dual law True Spirit Wizard.
At this moment, including Maisy, the three couldn't help but mentally marvel.
